I had my reservations about the clinic and I cancelled the first appointment the day after the appointment was made. That was 2 weeks ago. To my surprise, today I am still getting messages to remind me about my appointment and reminding me that there will be charges of $54.50 for cancellation or no show. I know time and money are critical for businesses, but constant pressure? Thereafter, my curiosity was aroused and I went to the clinic's site and googled. Wow ...I see Series A funding of $5 million...hoping to ultimately do an initial public offering? Fast track to wealth ! This explains the pressure. I have helped listed many companies over the years but this is not a route to wealth or success. I get the feeling that the clinic and its doctors/owners are trying to bump up their profits and revenues to meet certain criteria for an ultimate listing. Inevitably this modus operandi will compromise the quality of care and dedication. Doctors who stayed loyal to their mission to help and heal can make relatively good money. Doctors who try to make a quick buck and hoping to short cut their way to wealth and glory may find that at the end of the rainbow, waiting for them, is not a pot of gold but things that may be unpleasant. Before potential patients visit the clinic, please check it out.... Don't just read the positive ones...the negative ones are equally important. By the way, the weight loss drugs are still new kids on the block. We don't know their ultimate effects yet. Weight loss industry is huge business and is a magnet to the medical practitioners who forgot their Hippocratic Oath.
