Where to Stay in Berlin When You Visit (Updated 2025)

The breakfast was really great, very diverse and good. the location was ok for tourists. next time i will take something in KDAM or TOR its a bit o a walk to the U, one o them was shut down. easy parking and a play place for little kids. clean. Hotel surprised my daughter on her birthday with cookies and a coke in the room. Thank you to the head housekeeping Jana for creatively fixing our problem. |On the down side the rooms are small, especially for a family. the pull out couch is not full size in the length, it folds once out so for bigger kids/teens this is not great. my daughters feet were hanging off (too tall.) I had to really push and ask more than 4 times for helping with a solution which is too much. being busy isn't an excuse not to help.

The hotel itself is fine, but I was really disappointed with the bathroom. It’s very small and doesn’t give a feeling of cleanliness. The dark-colored sink and shower make the space look dirty, and the toilet being yellowed was quite unpleasant. If these details are improved, the stay would be much better.

We had a wonderful stay in the Novotel Berlin. Our room was lovely and we requested an early check in and a gluten free breakfast for our coeliac daughter and they accommodated both for us. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and location was walking distance for all the major tourist spots. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Tristan. That's his name. He's amazing. If you need anything and you ask any other staff, they basically refer you to Tristan. It's quite simple. My wife is aggravated with the cleaning staff and most others, but Tristan is just the man you need to make your stay change from annoying at best to enjoyable. I don't know if he's the manager but in any case, i strongly urge accor to make sure they retain him. He's absolutely incredible. I would rate this hotel just 2* without him, but it's a safe 5* with. Why 2*? Even wifi isn't working. It's crap. It worked during our first stay very nicely, 2 days later even the front desk staff were complaining they could not get on. Cleaning staff is very weak too... very bad tbh... but again, the poor Tristan will make up for their shortfall by providing everything they missed. He's truly an incredible asset. For full disclosure, I'm totally unrelated to Tristan and will most likely never see him again.

We always try to book Novotel as it’s always in the best locations and has good breakfast options. Also as a family I feel it’s a good choice. The staff are nice and the kids always enjoy here as they always have a kids playing area. I would recommend it to my friends as well.

This is the hotel I stay at every time I visit Berlin. Above all, the rooms are spacious and clean. Located on Museum Island, it's within walking distance of the Neues Museum and the Alte Nationalgalerie, and public transportation is conveniently located.

The rooms was moderate, it had some troubles with the bathroom faucet. After we asked to fix it, they moved us to another room that was actually already taken by other guests (We received the key card to enter the room and we were surprised that there was already guests) At last we received another room, without any apologies not to say some compensation. The breakfast was pretty good we had no complaints about it. Overall I'd say score for our experience is 6 of 10.

My first time staying at an Accor hotel in Berlin - but it was disappointing. Location wise, it was great - easy bus and U-Bahn access to anywhere in Berlin or the train stations. But the rooms need renovating - my carpet at the entrance had a bald patch, the entrance mirror light wasn't working, and the staff could have been more alert - we werem't offered a welcome drink despite being Gold members.
