I recently stayed with my family, and unfortunately, the service left much to be desired.
We were initially greeted by a very polite and helpful gentleman. However, the atmosphere shifted when his colleague, a young woman, took over. Her energy was noticeably off, and it set a negative tone. We arrived on a Sunday only to find out the kitchen was closed, and room service was unavailable. We had to walk over to IBIS Styles just to get food, which was limited to paninis. For a 4-star hotel, this is unacceptable. Regardless of the day, the kitchen should be operational. It's puzzling that a lower-class hotel can keep its kitchen open, yet a 4-star establishment cannot.
When I asked the receptionist for something to assist a family member who wasn’t feeling well, she flatly refused, despite knowing they had what I requested. What was more frustrating was her complete lack of effort to offer any alternative or assistance. I understand if there are policies in place, but she didn't even try to help or show any concern.
Later, at around 9:30AM, the housekeepers knocked once and immediately tried to enter the room, which they did, despite the door being locked. We didn’t even have a chance to respond before they let themselves in. This lack of privacy is unacceptable.
Overall, the stay was disappointing. Aside from the male receptionist, who was patient and kind, the rest of the service fell short of the standards one would expect from a 4-star hotel. It simply does not live up to its rating.
