As a longtime Accor Gold member, I am extremely disappointed with this Novotel BA: when entering the lobby, the first thing one notices its worn out, discoloured couches. The staff at the lobby is not engaging, they are distant, close to arrogant and reserved. The rooms are again worn out, the shower water pressure is way below par, the room smells muff, the soundproofing is non-existent. If the neighbour closes the entry door, the walls in my room shake. The breakfast is appalingly bad, eggs are extremely overcooked, bread is not fresh, it’s a disaster. Tables were not cleaned, staff was agitated and frustrated.
When asking for a late check out (a standard benefit as a gold member), I received the robotic answer that I would have to ask on the last day in the morning… what this means is that they prioritize ‘procedure’ (if guests leave early, there might be a possibility for a late check out) over loyalty and customer focus (as a loyal member your interest comes first).
During the stay I was only confronted with grouchy staff, where ever I walked inside the hotel. I never ever saw the manager to share these concerns.
And be aware, this is at a rate of 237.50US$ a night. I have stayed in Accor hotels all over the world, never experienced this bad attitude, this extremely bad price quality ratio and this appaling behaviour.
Buenos Aires is a fabulous city, just make sure you do not enter this hotel, it will ruin your experience.
This Novotel is a disgrace.
