Stayed 4 nights in a one bedroom apartment. Well maintained, cleaned and had all the amenities required for a great stay. Bath/shower combo, dining area, kitchenette etc. made my 4 nights very pleasant. Bed and bedding were super comfortable. Super quiet room with no outside noise made for great sleeps. Decor was not fancy but everything was comfortable and in good (albeit older) condition. Had a great stay close to ANU and most tourist offerings were a mere $10-15 away in an Uber or cab. Breakfast was great too.

The location really great! Balcony views are lovely. Located in front of LRT Alengha Street Station. Very near to Canberra Centre, Chemist, Sydney Building and Melbourne Building. Meeting rooms are good. Food are mostly delicious too :-) The staff are all friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

My second time staying here and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was very spacious, had and ironing board and iron, mini fridge and kettle, some coffee, tea and milk. There is a bar on the first floor where you can also get snacks. They are a decent length pool but it only 1.5m deep the length. Very large spa and a sauna. The gym is good, free weights, 3 treadmills and 2 Peloton spin bike which we're great as they have a subscription and you can do spin classes. I high

The room was dusty and the customer service was below the average. It seems like we were imposing on them to attend us rather than they were making us feel welcome. The room was placed on the restaurant floor which every time you move in or out of your room you have to go through the crowd to get the lift. Room air-conditioning was not working, and bathroom water supply was either burning hot or icy cold. Ridiculous experience, and it was the one novotel in my life that will never visit again.

Beautiful foyer and restaurant. The rest is disgusting, filthy and outdated. Booked a $600/night executive suite. The decor was stuck in the 80s and the room smelled musty. We had to ask for beds to be made. We had to then ask for blankets and pillows. When they arrived, the blanket had feaces and the pillow was stained yellow (See photos) Bathroom was dirty. They advertised a 24/7 reception desk, but their phone lines were down. The food service was unhygienic at best. Parking is $32/night but doesn’t accommodate all guests and you pay if if you can’t find a spot. There is no free parking nearby. Closest parking is 7minutes walk outside in the freezing cold for $26/night. We cut our holiday short, I have never done that before. Do not stay here

I'd say the ratings you see on the property speak for themselves. The location is great. The property and interiors are dated. The room cleaning service was average. The parking was full and we never got parking. Also a bit difficult to park in front of the hotel to check in. I am told before 3pm is the sweet spot to get the internal parking. But that said everyone knows all this about this property from the earlier reviews You still select it for the location and budget. The breakfast buffet was decent. There's a parking 6 min walk alway from the hotel. So I'd say it's not a bad option for the location. If your very particular about the room decor and parking don't go for it. If you want a place that checks most boxes and is a decent experience go ahead. I feel the people are making an effort and I wouldn't want to bash the place when it gets a lot of things right .

Most frustrating with the limited parking spaces in the hotel underground car park. Despite having paid at such a high premium, I had to park on the street for 2 hours because the garage was full on our return to the hotel after a brief local journey. I had to walk outside in the cold,4 times in total, to the garage entrance to check for vacancies! Why can’t the hotel assign a designated space for every paid customer ! — I can’t believe the hotel is totally unaware of its garbage limitations, and the management has not come up with a satisfactory system to ensure each paid car has a parking space. A most disappointing experience for paying $32.00 daily parking at the hotel!

Location was the most perfect thing ever. The rooms were great however the bathroom didn't have ventalation so it didn't smell the best. The service was nice however the breakfast didn't change every day.

Yelp
This hotel was near downtown, many museums and attractions, restaurants, shopping, etc. Very handy. Our room, although a bit dated, provided us with everything we needed for an enjoyable few days in Canberra. The bar/restaurant looked updated, as well as the lobby area. The staff was always friendly and efficient. They had a nice sized pool and hot tub, although we never did figure out how to get the sauna room to work right. There was also a fitness room. Parking was underneath and that was sometimes a challenge, as there didn't seem to be enough spots and most of them were quite small.
