Novotel Darwin CBD

Lovely service at reception and location very convenient for our needs. Considering the age of the building the reception/bar/restaurant area was well decorated. Having a shower curtain & a warning that steam would set off the fire alarms and we would be charged for that wasn't great.

Booked a two bedroom apartment for 4 nights, it was very roomy, the rooms were clean throughout. Serviced each day. The restaurant had lovely food, and the bar in the atrium part was roomy and relaxing. Staff were friendly throughout the stay. Was able to leave suitcases there on checkout till went for our flight. Ubers were there within 1 or 2 mins when we needed them. It’s a 4 star hotel, and had a couple of things needing replaced but as these things didn’t affected us it didn’t worry us. Added the sunset to show it was right across the road. The hotel was handy to all the history around darwin.

We had few drinks and meals at bar ground floor. Was very pleasant atmosphere with beautiful lush greenery surroundings. Great place for meeting up with friends.

We had an exquisite meal in a beautiful setting . The food was delicious and the service outstanding- very friendly, prompt service. Tami Yoga was a wonderful host and we will be back next time in Darwin.

This is the worst Novotel hotel I have stayed at. The rooms are very tired and had plenty of problems. One air conditioner leaking and another working poorly, no plug connecting the phone to reach reception, cracked bathroom sink, the pool was closed for renovations and we did not receive notification when booking. Gate snib from carpark to rear entrance was broken, compromising security. Not enough towels in room for the amount of people booked for. Buffet breakfast was very basic. The redeeming feature was that the staff were lovely and tried to be as helpful as they could to resolve the matters; though maintenance was out of their hands.

Novotel is well placed, just off the main CBD on the Esplanade. Sea views are across the harbour. The rooms are quite large and very comfortable. Staff are great, the lobby and bar area is quite charming. Restaurant delivers good food.

The hotel was clean and tidy and no request was too big or too small for the staff. As a matter of fact when I asked them after I checked out whether I could use a shower later in the day, they very quickly thought outside the box and gave me access to the gym external to the hotel which did have showers. So if you’re looking for somewhere to stay that has got your back, then you can’t go past this place.

We have stayed here a number of times before and its always good. The staff are fantastic, food is good and they have everything you need here. Great location and close to all things. Choose a harbour facing room if you can.
