Novotel Jakarta Gajah Mada

It's a pleasant stay at Novotel Gajah Mada. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, providing the perfect atmosphere to relax after a long day. I really appreciated the thoughtful preparation, special thanks to Mr. Petric and Ms. Marsa, who made sure everything was ready and welcoming upon my arrival.||Strategic location, especially if you enjoy exploring cultural and culinary areas. The hotel is so close to Glodok, Petak Sembilan, and the famous Chinatown food district. It was so convenient to walk around and enjoy the local flavors and sights. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, the location makes it easy to reach various spots in the city.||The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive, which added to the overall positive experience. From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly.||It's a recommended hotel, and I'm gladly return in the future. The combination of excellent service, clean rooms, and a great location makes Novotel Gajah Mada a solid choice for anyone visiting Jakarta.

This hotel is so comfortable! We decided to go to Jakarta for 3 days trip and wish we had stayed longer. Loved the location, was walking distance to local food and things to do. The staff here was incredibly sweet and helpful. The room was clean. The pool was clean, quiet, and enjoyable. But the thing is the MRT project near hotel is very noisy and caused such traffic.

This is the kind of hotel that I suggest people stay at, classic Jakarta Chinese feel. The service was great and the rooms were comfortable and clean. AC comfort cold and you can relax by showering with the hot water. Thank you for the housekeeping, reception and the whole team at Novotel.|The breakfast were to notch especially the local food on buffet and the sambal. Really enjoyed the 24/7 night life in Jakarta old town as well mix with China town and abundant of street foods.||Even then, the hotel was helpful in directing us where to go just simply ask the staff they gladly will assist you with smile and fast! But this would have made our whole stay pretty much flawless. |The MRT project made the street in front of the hotel dense and busy and its very unfortunate, I’ll say the parking lot little bit narrow. Otherwise I do highly recommend this place for families or couples who want an oasis amidst the craziness of Jakarta Old Town.

Lovely hotel in great location for sightseeing around oldtown area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had a dessert at the restaurant which was delish! Pool area was nice and clean, they also have gym with various equipment. Room was spacious and clean.

I stayed at Novotel Gajah Mada a few times, and It's hands down beautiful. The rooms, atmosphere, and the welcome amenities were great, but what I loved the most was how well all the staff treated me. They're very professional, and always smiling. Honorable mention for the breakfast and the room service food is absolutely tasty.

A chain that is part of the Accor group. Stayed there for four nights. A good location with the Glodok station about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Had an issue where the shower head broke off from the holder. Told the front desk who got maintenance to have it replaced. On the day of departure, stopped by the front desk to drop off the keys and service was very cold. . No thank you for staying with hotel or offered to assist with luggage. Basically grabbed keys, look at my account and told I owed nothing and continued doing what she was doing.

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The first thing I noticed was the exceptional cleanliness of the room. The bathroom was also very clean, with no signs of crust or stubborn stains. They also provided complete and quality toiletries. In addition, the public areas of the hotel, such as the lobby and breakfast area, were also kept clean. I was very impressed with the hotel's commitment to cleanliness and I will definitely be back again.

We stayed at Novotel Jakarta Gajah Mada for 3 nights and it was a huge disappointment. The service is awful and absolutely not what you would expect from an international chain like Novotel. The room reeked of mold and dampness, making it very unpleasant to stay in. Breakfast was terrible, very poor choices, watered-down syrup passed as “juice,” and basic coffee and tea only. What really shocked us was the racist double standard from the staff. When a foreign guest (“bule”) asked for a cappuccino, they went out of their way to serve it. But when a local Indonesian guest asked the same, they flat out refused and said “only what’s served here.” This is unacceptable and disgusting behavior. The swimming pool was also poorly maintained, freezing cold, and felt neglected. The only thing decent about this hotel is the location, but that alone does not save it. Totally not worth the money, and we would never stay here again. Avoid this place if you value fair treatment, cleanliness, and proper service.
