Novotel Lausanne Bussigny

I recently had the most incredible stay at the Novotel Bussigny in Switzerland. It was, without a doubt, the best Novotel experience I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuinely welcoming attitude from the staff. The hospitality was exceptional and made me feel right at home. The food was also fantastic—delicious and thoughtfully prepared. As someone with dietary needs, I was especially impressed that they offered excellent gluten-free options, which made dining so much easier and more enjoyable. The hotel can get quite busy, especially during breakfast, but the team handles the crowds perfectly. The service remains impeccable, and the staff are always on hand to ensure everyone has a great start to their day. If you're looking for a comfortable stay with outstanding service and delicious food, I highly recommend the Novotel Bussigny. It’s a truly wonderful place.

A really good hotel, but it’s kept from 5 stars by poor sound insulation. Several times between 2 and 5am I was woken by the sound of running in the hallway. Probably got unlucky with other guests randomly being active in this night, but it should not be audible in the rooms. That aside, the rest of the stay was great. As a spot to charge your car, it’s also a nice place to stop. I particularly enjoyed the sauna, which is unusually available between 6am and 10pm. There’s also a steam room, mini gym (no real weights though, sadly) and a natural swimming pool. The room service was good, but on the pricey side.

Great location, ample parking and very comfy bed and room layout. Would prefer a kettle as the coffee machine is so noisy when trying to use it for hot water. Breakfast for the price paid wasn’t good value at all very little hot food choice. For over 25 euro I expected better. Overall would I stay again? Definitely.

Nice hotel, beautiful area with pool and garden area for kids to play. They offer a little but cozy sauna and gym area as well. The executive rooms have a nice view towards the garden, lake and mountains and have a small balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a free guest card for the public transportation but you need to ask for it explicitly. Thanks for the nice stay, I will come back for sure.

Everyone was extremely friendly, attentive, and such a great team – you truly feel welcome from the very first moment. The breakfast was fresh, varied and left nothing to be desired. The reception service was also excellent – professional, warm and always helpful. A stay where everything was just right – I’ll be happy to come back!

We are in Lausanne for a longer business project and this hotel is just perfect to relax after a challenging day. Everything is very clean and well organised and luxurious. I have already spent here several nights. What also really makes the difference is the staff for example Mr. Harrison gave us a very warm welcome,and also the other staff at the reception . And just like the General Manager, Mr. Serror, everyone here is very professional and friendly. A great place to stay, i feel very comfortable here and can fully recommend it.

Novotel Lausanne Bussigny was a real surprise - in a good way! Let’s start with the best: the food. We stayed four nights, had dinner there every evening, and it was consistently excellent. Big applause to the chef and the friendly team serving the meals. This is not some basic hotel restaurant - it’s genuinely enjoyable. Also loved the energy of the staff, especially one young guy at reception (sadly I didn’t catch his name) - super passionate, runs the Instagram, full of good vibes. You can feel there's solid management behind the scenes. Now, let’s be honest: the location isn’t dreamy. Far from the centre, traffic is constant, and the garden and pool are more symbolic than relaxing. You’ll also hear the street quite a bit. Bonus comedy: the parking lot seems to double as a Tesla charging party. A dozen drivers sitting in their cars on their phones, waiting to charge. If you're an electric car owner, bring patience. If you’re not, enjoy the show. Would I come back? Yes - not for vacation, but for decent sleep, good dinner, and good people.

Very nice hotel with nice facilities! We had a minor problem during the check-in, that was easily solved by the gentleman working at the reception (morning of 28/06). I didn't catch his name, but he was very kind, helpful and contributed to a pleasant stay for us! The staff from the restaurant was also very attentive!

After a long day of travel we arrived in our hotel super hungry. Place is located 25 minutes (a bus ride) from the city center. It is less expensive than the city center area. There is a great view of Lake Geneva from the hilltop during our walks. Be mindful of the incline walking to the hotel. Hotel is located by a bus stop. The place was neat. The front desk staff was nice. There is a restaurant with great food. They accommodated us and allowed us to order and eat you arriving 10 mins before closing. We explained we were extremely hungry from our train travel.

Staff is great, from front desk to bartender. Common areas are modern and well maintained. Lobby/bar/restaurant/outside seating are very well done and inviting. They really ought to spend a few of those francs on the rooms, however. Uncomfortable beds, rock hard pillows, faulty plumbing in sink and shower, flimsy towels. Also, they have an large security deposit for some reason - must be a doozy of a story behind that policy. Such changes would take this from a borderline 3 star to a solid 4 star hotel.

If you've stayed at a Novotel before you know what you get here too. Large family rooms with kitchenette, excellent shower, horribly small separate toilet booth. What stood out at this one is that it offered dinner service in their restaurent which turned out to serve surprisingly good food, but also pretty expensive. We had their Novotel Burger which was quite a treat with a very special, and tasty "bread". Since the hotel is located in an industrial area your other option for dinner is to take the bus to the town center. Free bus tickets is handed out in the reception. Breakfast at the hotel was very nice - at a pretty steep price - but in Novotel style free for children aged 16 and under.

Very good hotel. Prices are really ok for the hotel quality. Bit far from the city if you don't have a car.

Unfortunately, this was the hotel of choice for our Cosmos tour. The hotel is fine, but it is in an industrial park about 25 minutes by bus from the city center. And there are no other options for meals other than the (very) expensive, low-quality restaurant unless you have individual transportation. Service is not very good. I will be taking this up with the Cosmos company.
