Novotel Melbourne Central

We were not expecting the hotel to be as high end as what greeted us on our arrival! From the moment we entered, the doorman ushered us up to reception with a welcoming gesture. The reception staff were friendly, knowledgeable and catered to all our extra needs. Check-in was quick and efficient. Opening the door to our room, we were gob smacked by what welcomed us. The hospitality was next level with gifts to make our stay comfortable. We were not expecting this personal gesture at all. The view was 'next level', and the room was clean with all high end features and amenities. We had breakfast downstairs the following morning and could not fault the buffet. Everything was so delicious! We will certainly stay once again and can only highly recommend Novotel Melbourne Central. Thank you to all the staff from Concierge, Reception and Housekeeping for being so friendly and efficient! 5 Stars!

When we arrived, we were greeted by Franco and he made us feel very welcome. He personally delivered our stuff to our room ( which was upgraded by the way being an Accor Plus member).|Location is awesome (short walk to shopping, restaurants, tram stations ). Room size is adequate, tidy, water pressure is good and I can truly recommend this hotel if you visit Melbourne. We regretted that we only stayed 2 nights because we have pre booked other hotels in Melbourne. ||Breakfast is simple but good and I really like that we can make our own smoothies.||I’ll definitely stay again when I come to Melbourne again.

Great location and excellent service. The room is modern and spacious. Parking fees are quite expensive, breakfast is average. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for its convenience and quality.

Firstly i will say the view and staff were absolutely amazing! However, our first night there we noticed the beds were hard as a rock (which i know isn't your fault). I requested two rooms, me and my friend shared a room and that was good, however my mum has a separate room which we found out was 'offline', my mum couldn't use the TV and she wasn't able to order room service in the morning. Now we got to the hotel at 1am almost 2 am, we had not eaten since around 8pm and my poor mum could only eat something at around 11am after breakfast had ended. She told me the breakfast was decent however the metal stuff, that sits on the food to keep it warm didn't do much, the food was cold for her, as was us when we ordered room service, now the metal thing that sits on my mums food to keep it warm was dirty, had left over food scraps on it, which made my mum feel nauseous and not want to eat so we left and got something else instead. When it came to the final day where we packed up, we went down stairs to have breakfast, wanting a proper warm breakfast, however when we all sat down to eat, it was cold, even the hot drinks were luke-warm. The valet parking - it was a cool experience however when we requested our car it took almost an hour to get it back, we were advised the elevator had stopped working and they had to get it down the backway, which we understood, however after 30 minutes mum checked in and we were told they couldn't get it down the back way as it lead to the road and for insurance purposes they can't bring it on the road and we were advised the elevator was working and our car would be the next down, so we wait again and after another 30 minutes we finally got our car. Now i will give props, i did get a partial refund for valet parking for that day. But we were exhausted and frustrated and just wanted to get home.

This was a gem of a find. Loved the location...so many fabulous eating places only metres away.Room service was great. Room very good for the price. Placement of the only mirror was baffling! We would definitely stay again.

A clean room with a very comfortable bed. Well located with easy access to city, shopping and restaurants. A good 4 star hotel for the cost. Only disappointment was breakfast - a little cafeteria like. Ordering coffee from an app is painful. All staff were extremely helpful and provided excellent service.

We stayed at the Novotel Melbourne Central in Dec 2024. The location is very good, just in the center of CBD. It was very easy to go the attraction by tram or walking. The staff in the restaurant and front office were very friendly. Easy to check in and out. We stayed at the Deluxe, two double bed room for 3 of us. It was a bit overcrowded. The view from the level 31 was nice. At the bathroom, no space to put the clothes and towel as it got only one hook and no bar outside the shower. In general, we are happy of our stay.

Beautifully appointed hotel and room. Very comfortable sleep, quiet up on the 32nd floor. Much larger room than expected for the price, with a great view of the city as well. Can't beat the location, walking distance to anything in the CBD, and close to the tram as well. Staff was very polite and friendly. I showed up at 10am but the room was not ready yet. There was enough seating in the lobby to wait. Got the room around noon instead. Elevators are extremely fast except that one time when 30 international students lined up to go up. One thing to note, Novotel and Ibis share the same concierge and entrance but have separate elevators.
