Novotel Monte Carlo

We stayed at Novotel Monte Carlo from October 15 to 16 and had a wonderful experience. The staff at the reception were exceptionally friendly and helpful both during check-in and check-out. They kindly accommodated our early arrival by storing our luggage, allowing us to enjoy a city walk before our room was ready. At check-out, they once again allowed us leave our bags while we explored a few more city spots — a small gesture that made our day so much easier. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, but it was truly the kindness and professionalism of the staff that made our stay special. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Monte Carlo — great location, excellent service, and warm hospitality!

What an experience! My fiancee and I stayed on the night of my 30th Birthday as we had traveled for the weekend from Scotland to Monaco. On arrival, we were greeted by (I think, apologies for any misspelling) "Gilles" at the front desk. He was so warm and friendly from the moment we arrived. ||He noticed at check-in that it was my birthday and immediately offered us an upgrade to a top floor room with a sea view, which was a lovely touch. He then glanced back and noticed it was actually my 30th, and so he then gave us a voucher for a free bottle of Laurent Perrier champagne at the bar. He made the check in experience feel very special, including giving us a small glass jar of sweets to enjoy in our room. There was a birthday card in the room for my arrival, too. ||Our room was comfortable and the view was really good over the Port Hercules. We always love a Novotel - the Rituals toiletries are great. There was also a water refill station in the lobby for free, meaning you didn't need to constantly go searching for a place to buy water - simple but you'd be amazed how often that's not the case!||We were only there for a Saturday to Sunday, so we didn't find time to use the pool - but it looked very clean, inviting and private.||The staff throughout our stay were fantastic, they could not do enough to make sure we felt welcome and looked after and I cannot find one fault with our stay in what is such a beautiful part of the world. Location is superb, you are a 5-10 minute walk from the Casino square. ||Overall - a wonderful hotel, great location and exceptionally good staff - especially Gilles. We will be back!

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and since check in was done prior, it was very quick and painless. Since we checked in earlier than usual, thankfully our request was granted and our room was ready. The room itself was facing the street, it was a nice adequate room. The bar was nice and welcoming, did not use the pool or the restaurant. The staff very helpful and polite. However, since this hotel is on the hill, not suitable for the elderly, disabled or anyone with back issues like myself.

I recently went to Monaco and decided to book this hotel. From the moment I entered to the one I left, it was a beautiful experience. The rooms were clean and the weather was great enough to swim in the pool. I was warmly welcomed by the staff. Conclusion: I recommend this hotel. 5 stars.

This is a good (and good value hotel), we go there repeatedly. Staff is very friendly, the bar is very pleasant and they have wonderful tea. Breakfast is superb. Rooms are clean, well decorated and functional. You cannot beat location (on that price range), being close from train station and casino. Just 2 small points to mention: - Family room is normal room with sofa bed, which opened gives a comfortable 2 persons bed, but does not leave much space in the room to walk around. - Swimming pool and pool bar could be more pleasant is regularly serviced to remove towels and glasses on tables. Again, most pleasant hotel.

What I was expecting in an expensive area it was a suitable option. I’d say it is like an ikea hotel if they did them. Everything is white melamine, cheap and plastic. The location whilst nearish to the casino is really too far out to enjoy Monaco in the evening without getting a taxi. |The beds are small doubles despite the rooms being big enough for a king size. The water pressure matches the blow of the hairdryer, non existent and lacking. The towels are beautifully soft and the rooms were well cleaned though. |The breakfast all just felt a little sad, again plastic tables and uncomfortable chairs and just a small offering of each item making feel like it’s all that was left after a busy sitting. |So probably merits its 3 star but if visiting I’d dig deeper and pay more for a better hotel.

Good location but basic property. I get it that it’s Monaco but for the price… they need to do better! Carpet is worn, paper cups for coffee in rooms and they melt with your coffee for easy spills along with cheap powdered creamer and low grade coffee. Seems like staff is inexperienced. We came to the hotel after our cruise ship docked around 10. They did hold our luggage but I ask about if upgrades were available due to status and they said maybe. 2 other rooms in our group checked in mid afternoon but when we checked in, they acted like they knew nothing about my request. Staff seemed inexperienced and offered to give me a higher level room but only if I paid for it. Nothing complimentary! We were put on a lower floor even after all that! Carpets were stained, floors felt gritty and amenities were very basic. No makeup mirror, no conditioner, tired looking towels. For this price (compared to London and Paris) very basic, old and not like other properties we’ve stayed in Monaco in the past!

Would just like to pass on our thanks for a fantastic afternoon at Azzura. Maurizio was exceptional! We stopped for a quick drink and his attentiveness and customer service meant we stayed for a delicious lunch and wine on his recommendation. Thank you Maurizio for looking after us on our anniversary weekend. 5* service, warm and friendly. Best wishes Lucy Richardson
