Novotel Newcastle Beach

We have stayed here multiple times over the last decade and any time there is an issue it is very quickly resolved. Our recent stay however was so incredible I had to leave this review. We took our beautiful boy to stay for his 5th birthday. We didn’t ask for anything to be done yet balloons were delivered to our room, along with little sea creatures with a gorgeous note and again staff just going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We can’t thank them enough for not only another perfect stay in Newcastle, but also making his birthday so incredible.

Located near the main beach & a short walk to lots of cafe’s & restaurants. We had a room with a harbour view. The reception staff was fabulous, he offered us a shower chair and walker for my husband, which arrived before we got into the room. Restaurant staff were fabulous making sure a table was accessible for us to sit at with a mobility scooter. Hotel is located in a quiet area near the main beach which could be accessed from an accessible lift at the end of the road. The fabulously wide footpath that winds around the coast & beach made it a perfect place to move around on a mobility scooter.

Very impressed! The day before arrival, Leonard from the hotel team called me and said they want to prepare for me a bottle of wine and cheese platter. Leonard generously gave me a choice of 3 different wines, enthusiastically and with knowledge explained each wine. What amazing service! Yes, I’m a platinum member regularly and exclusively staying at Accor hotels, but not all Accor properties do it to this level. They did the same last month too, wine and cheese platter.

We had the best customer service that we have ever had from any hotel globally. We had to leave the following day due to family issues and the staff showed nothing but compassion.|The hotel itself was really delightful, we had a gorgeous room with a partial view of the beach, it was truly gorgeous. The bar and restaurant were wonderful. We recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Newcastle, exceptional!

Awesome value hotel! Brandon was very helpful from the checkin moment. He offered superior hospitality during our stay! The hotel is only moments away from the beach so really enjoyed our stay!

On booking the highest room rate for being able to cancel accommodation was quoted. This nearly made me book elsewhere. It was only when I asked if anything cheaper I was then given a lower rate, very sneaky I thought. We have stayed at many Novotels and would have to say not that impressed. It was very clean and had everything in place to be amazing but needs the warmth and genuine greeting of most others

Great location only a couple of minutes walk to Newcastle Beach and 5-10 minutes to majority of the bars/restaurants, perfect for exploring Newcastle. Friendly staff with easy parking, spacious room with a very comfy bed which is pretty standard with Accor hotels. Appreciated the bottle of sparkling for NYE 2025 as well.

Great location. However hotel room had a strong mouldy wet smell and the carpet was damp. When I asked to move they said only a downgrade was available.
