What an absolute fall from grace this hotel is having.
As a gold Accor member, this has been the worst stay thus far.
If you enjoy dirty/moldy/smelly rooms, incompetent staff, possible electrocution, or no electricity in some power points, This hotel is for you, at a premium price.
Check-in - Terrible. Room wasn't ready when arrived after 2pm to check-in, bar wasn't opened to have our welcome drinks while we wait. Returned half an hour later and it was finally ready.
The room - Terrible. It had a horrible musty smell. Mold in the bathroom, and no exhaust fan in there either. Light switch was dodgy, and the power points the bedside lights were plugged into were broken. didn't realize until the next morning that it wasn't the globes, it was the power points on both sides
To our surprise there was a cot bed made up in the corner. We never requested it, and assumed we were given the wrong room. Nope they had put it in the wrong room.
There was no welcome note, gift, or any acknowledgement of any kind from the hotel management. Honestly the Ibis is more welcoming than the Novotel.
My husband had left a bottle of champagne at the hotel & requested days prior to have it on ice in the room for when we arrived. It wasn't. It was sitting at reception, warm. Was told to ask the bar for an ice bucket. No one in sight. When my husband requested Champagne glasses later on, staff behind the bar said they didn't have any...? He requested they go ask someone else.
All in all, it seems like the staff need that pizza party to boost in house moral. Good Luck .
