We truly enjoyed our stay at Novotel Paris Les Halles. The hotel was very clean, and our room was spacious, spotless, and featured a nice, modern layout. Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide selection of fresh and delicious food. The staff were consistently helpful and genuinely friendly throughout our stay. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of Paris, next to the large Les Halles shopping mall, surrounded by many restaurants, directly above a major train station, and within walking distance of many of the city’s top attractions. Everything was absolutely perfect during our stay, and I have no regrets at all.

Large international hotel with boutique charm. Fantastic location very easy to walk around shops and restaurants. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The afternoon ice cream was a very fun treat! Breakfast was excellent as well. Lenora at the concierge desk was a doll. She shared restaurant recommendations that hit the spot and shared many recommendations for places to visit.

Stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, always happy to help with a smile, whether it was giving directions or offering great local tips.||The bed was super comfy, easily one of the best I’ve slept in while travelling. The room was spotless every day, and it really made coming back after a long day of sightseeing feel like a treat.||Breakfast was a real highlight: loads of variety, fresh produce, and something to suit every taste. From pastries to hot dishes, everything was top-notch. And the cherry on top? Free ice cream handed out every afternoon, such a fun and thoughtful bonus, especially in the summer heat!||Perfectly located for exploring Paris, this hotel definitely delivered a 4-star experience. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

had a truly wonderful time with all of you. Christina from Guest Relations was incredibly kind and supportive, taking the time to assist me with planning my activities — her help was greatly appreciated. Later in the evening, I enjoyed a delightful dinner on the terrace, where I was warmly welcomed by Thomas and Lou. The atmosphere was lovely, and the dishes were excellent. Mikael and Aurélie then took excellent care of us throughout the meal. Thomas kindly checked in with me to make sure everything was going well in my room. I had noticed earlier that the minibar hadn’t been restocked, but when I returned, it had already been taken care of. I truly appreciated this thoughtful gesture. Thank you all for your attentiveness and the genuine warmth of your hospitality. It made my stay all the more memorable.

Family visit in a suite from 18-21 June. We pre booked a birthday package which was meticulously planned by the staff. They emailed to ask my estimated arrival and ensured the room was decorated and the cake/ juice and champagne was in place for check-in. They also greeted us with ice creams at check in which was very much appreciated given the heat, and escorted us to our room. Huge shout out to Gabrielle for her excellent service both via email in advance of my stay in coordinating my request and on the day itself. ||We are one meal in the restaurant and it was high quality. Also the bar service was excellent. ||The breakfast is very good, and it includes a chef making omelettes and fried eggs to order and also another chef making American pancakes and crepes to order. ||The design of the suite is unusual in that the bathroom has an opaque window which can be seen into from the room but preserves modesty. Unfortunately it also emits light so one member of our party who liked to shower at night was essentially lighting up the bedroom for those who wanted to sleep. ||The cleaners took all the glasses/ mugs and forgot to replenish the coffee/ milk on one clean but this was easily rectified when we called and requested replacements. ||The hotel is in an excellent location. A stones throw from the Chatelet metro station entrance and close to many bars and restaurants. The Louvre and Notre Dame are walking distance. ||I would definitely stay here again.

5/5 ⭐ Absolutely Wonderful Stay in Paris! I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel in Paris, Novotel Paris Les Halles, and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The room was spotless and very comfortable The location was perfect — walking distance to many attractions, charming cafés, and the metro, making it super easy to get around. Breakfast was delicious every morning, with fresh pastries, coffee, and a lovely selection of French specialties. What really stood out was the attention to detail and genuine care from the team. Helping us with directions, restaurant recommendations etc I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris.

What a fantastic experience! This lovely 4-star hotel is perfectly located right in the centre of Paris – walking distance to so many iconic landmarks, shops, and charming cafés. You truly couldn’t ask for a better spot to soak in the magic of the city.||Our room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. After long days exploring, it was such a treat to come back to a quiet, cosy space with a super comfy bed and all the little touches that made it feel special.||But what really stood out was the outstanding service. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and professionalism. A special shout-out to the porters, who were incredibly helpful and attentive with our luggage and always ready with a friendly smile. We also want to give a heartfelt thanks to Fabrice, Lenora, and Lucian – each of them went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their kindness and care truly made all the difference.||We’re already looking forward to our next stay – highly recommended!

Check in was quick and easy, and my kids loved and appreciated the free ice cream in the lobby from 4-6pm. The front desk staff was great, and we all enjoyed the breakfast service. However, all of my daughters were in a different room from my husband and I and they were covered with bedbug bites! Housekeeping was absolutely terrible and even when requested our rooms didn’t get cleaned during the week that we were there. When we checked into our room, we could tell that it had barely been touched between our visit and the previous guest, the mini fridge had remnants of another guest skin care that was left behind so obviously that didn’t get restocked or checked. We were put by the construction zone, so it was loud during the day when we were trying to rest

Yelp
Pro -Accor Gold status allowed us two hour early check-in. We didn't stay in the room. We left our luggage and walked around. -2 free drinks, which we forgot to use -Location -View Cons -Accor Gold membership only allows early check-in OR late check-out. We were asking for one hour. They said they were full. I could see online that our room was available to book for that night and the following night. -Decor. The lobby seating area was so low and uncomfortable. The room decor was so boring and nightstand was just big enough for an iPhone. -French hospitality, non-existent. As we were heading towards the elevator, the three staff members were all talking to each other by the reception area. They had no hello or bonsoir for us. And every time we walked into the building there was one or two staff members by the front door. They never said hello. That is why we never ate there. -No useable fridge -Shower wall was glass. No grab bar. You can see the light from the bed area. -No free water. For environmental purposes, they should have provided refillable water. -Smell in sink area -No slippers, no robe -Water pressure was low. We made a mistake in choosing Accor. We should have stayed in a smaller boutique hotel for our 6 week trip.

Yelp
Novotel Paris Les Halles is the hotel which ended my love affair with Paris. I stayed here for four nights in January 2024 with my two teenage daughters. On each prior trip to Paris, we'd return home searching for apartments and planning how we could possibly move to Paris. After two nights in this hotel, that ended. I paid $550usd via Am Ex points a night as I was paying more (I understood) to accommodate three people in a room. Rooms are usually very small in Paris. The room was smaller than expected and I see now that the website booking used a very wide angle stretched photo. The room had a six inch brown stain by the front door. As this is a dog friendly hotel, we were suspect. The remote didn't work. There was a leak in the wall. The shower shelf was broken so as you bathed the shampoo slid off to hit your toe. I spoke to the manager who was lovely and he moved us to another room. Larger room, another brown stain by the front door. Slightly improved view of Les Halles but not beautiful. Views from both rooms were not worth $550/night. I read good reviews on this hotel so am surprised. I believe if you are traveling for business (not paying yourself) and don't have brown stains, this hotel is a convenient location and large. This is not a hotel for someone who wants to fall in love with Paris. Both my children and I don't want to return.

Yelp
Clean, great location, helpful staff. Walk right out the door for the RER to Disneyland. Just down the street to the Seine, Louvre, Notre Dame. Will stay again.

Yelp
Great hotel! When you step out, you have the metro train right outside. There are also restaurants right outside the hotel and in very close walking distance. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable!

Yelp
Decent hotel. Convenient location. The staff all spoke English. The rooms were good size. The bartender though was very curt and rude. I didn't like that the tv in the room only had three really bad English channels and the option to subtitle ( caption) the French channels was not available. I like to relax to tv after a long day sightseeing. Was not able to do that at the hotel. Hotel was clean. Nothing remarkable.

Yelp
We specifically selected this hotel for the Novotel reputation, location, and equally important, air conditioning in the room considering that in Europe this can be hard to come by. The website, app, and every document related to this hotel reservation indicated A/C would be available. Upon checking in, the rooms(we had two) were incredibly hot. We let AC run while at dinner and came back to discover no change. Upon inquiring the hotel informed us that the AC is only available in Summer months(we were there mid-April). We had simply been running ambient air thru the fan. We asked to move rooms and were accommodated and new rooms were marginally better. All of this happened at 11PM. We were told to keep the windows open but with young kids this was not an option as the windows are low enough for them to easily fall out. We all slept poorly. B/c we were only in Paris for 3x days it was not worth moving hotels despite looking into it. I inquired the following morning with the manager regarding a refund/discount because we were not receiving accommodation that was advertised. We were offered free breakfast and for them to put fans in our rooms to see if it would help. Unfortunately the fans were inadequate and very loud making sleeping with them on unacceptable. The following day upon returning mid afternoon for a nap, the rooms were exceptionally warm. Again I inquired with a diff manager and this time I was offered "$80 in Accor credit and free breakfast". This was unacceptable. I explained that we had booked two rooms at an exceptional cost based on completely inaccurate advertising and that more needed to be refunded. I was advised the manager from the second day would get in touch which they never did. This is why I've ranked them a 3. They were all accommodating but there was never any follow up. We were there for a very short stay and I wasn't wasting more time discussing this with them at the hotel after already having done one move and one in person discussion with the morning manager. At this point, I decided it would be easier to deal with them through my CC company and dispute the stay. When I reached out to Novotel corporate they simply forwarded the dispute to the hotel. For info, the staff at the hotel was always trying to be accommodating and I appreciate that, but what we got was not what was advertised and that is what I am upset with. While a relatively good location near transport, there were lots of vagrants in the general vicinity of the hotel that left us feeling unsafe walking in the area at night.

Yelp
Novotel is a 3 star at best. Here's just some of the issues we've experienced in this hotel: - Poor quality beds and pillows (arguably one of the worst I've used..) - Bed has a cover that gets HOT at night making me sweaty in the morning - Rainfall shower head doesn't work - AC not super powerful, had to leave the room key in the holder to keep it cold - A 4 star hotel has 1-ply toilet paper? - Adapter doesn't fit in outlet near pc desk, so cant charge computer at desk. - Didn't get sheets in my room until the third night. For 200 euro a night better should be expected, look elsewhere! The beds and pillows comfort alone ruin it for me.. The best thing about Novotel is the Staff who are very friendly, accommodating, and quick. The breakfast is neat but not worth it if it doesn't come with your room purchase.

Sean B.

Yelp
the staff was friendly and welcoming and the lobby and bar areas were nice. The rooms were gross. They smelled, the carpet was dirty, the beds and bedding were uncomfortable. They didn't provide any bathroom items just a general body/hair wash. The coffee maker was broken and never fixed or replaced. very mediocre hotel.

Yelp
We stayed here for 3 nights during our recent trip to Europe. I picked this hotel because Les Halles is a central transportation train tub to go to CDG, Orly, and provide access to subway trains too. It turned out this hotel is literally steps away from the Les Halles station from Exit 1! It is close to Forum Les Halles mall with tons of shopping, restaurants and minutes walk away from Le Marais, 10 mins away from Notre Dame, river bank and much more. The location is simply amazing! The service at the hotel has been attentive and friendly. We were able to check in quickly, use mini bars and store our bags all hassle-free. We actually got to stay in two different rooms and the 2nd room appeared to be remodeled recently with a more modern design. Either way, both rooms are spacious for us having 3 big luggage. Wifi is free but not too fast for you to stream Netflix. They do have some English channels on TV so that helps. I would definitely stay here again for its location, service and room quality.

Yelp
Over the course of my trip to Paris, I was fortunate to have stays at three hotels between four and five star (via AAA or Expedia). I'm only writing a review for this hotel because I think it's a gem for travel to Paris. With respect to amenities/service, Expedia classifies this as a four star hotel. It's the type of hotel that a business traveler would stay at. Rooms were very spacious compared to my first boutique hotel. The rooms were clean and the service from hotel staff was exceptional. I'll tell you why this hotel is worth your consideration: LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Can't stress it enough. The rooms are as large as you possibly get for the price range and the service is fine. But the hotel is literally steps away from the entrance to the station at Les Halles. This is important because the station that Les Halles is a central hub for their Metro and RER stations. From this station, we were able to go to the CDG airport and Disneyland non-stop in 20-30 minutes. We were able to get to Versailles in one stop. And had convenient access to all of central paris. Aside from public transportation, there is tons of good food in the area. My favorite patisserie, La Parisenne, was across the street and I could see it from my hotel room. Reviewers here nitpick small things, but you can't beat what you get here for your money. And if people are nitpicking the size, it is because they didn't stay anywhere else. Rooms are far smaller elsewhere in far less-convenient areas (for the comparable price and class - you obviously get more if you splurge on a 5 star room). Take my word for it and consider this really convenient hotel for your trip to Paris.

Yelp
Revision to original review.***30|5|18 Three room changes later we are finally in the room depicted on their website photos. I had the choice of selecting many hotels for our stay in Paris. I could've used my Marriott's points for our stay but I opted to try this chain. Novotel is a worldwide chain and because we travel internationally once a year I figured we'd try a new chain. Thank you Guy for being excellent at the reception desk and Jean Christophe (guest relations manager) for taking my complaint seriously and making the rest of our stay comfortable by changing our room. Pros: Check in was easy. Reception was pleasant. Cons: The pictures posted on booking sites are fake. The room given to us for 800 euros was from the 1980's. The safe is on the floor, the bed creeks and when you sit at the edge the head rises not to mention the view is of blue lights shining into a window that does not open. I cannot believe the amount of money I paid for a room, I could've gone to Citadines next door for less and higher quality.

Yelp
Eleven days adventure to start a new chapter in my life with a lost former love where we stayed at Novotel. The rooms are quite small, good ventilation with proper admenties. The location is within distance from the Paris Metro. The lobby is clean an ample seating. However, being on our special away as to the post-biggest day of our lives we were suppose to have "the best room possible" arranged by our travel agent in New York City but did not receive anything special, so we mistakenly receive a platter of french meringue cookies and a bottle of champagne. Thus, we were Mr. and Mrs. Essccshare while eating all the treats and four stars rating.

Yelp
The room was spacious and had a nice balcony view. We got a king bed which was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the rain shower was amazing. Loved the bath products they supplied. We ordered room service one morning, the food was great. It is in close walking distance to the louvre. Prepare extra time for check in and check out as there always tended to be a line.

Yelp
For a location found near the chaotic Les Forums des Halles in the heart of Paris, Novotel does not disappoint in its truly professional service or its gorgeous architecture making efficient use of space. Upon visiting another Novotel in Normandy, it seems like many of the hotels in the chain have received similar updated furniture and amenities, including a glistening, modern bathroom. However, what really set this particular location apart were its two additional sleeper futon-esque couches found near the queen bed. Unlike your standard pull-out sofa, these futons contained decent mattresses with an ingenious sofa cover / mattress cover combo that could be untucked and turned inside out for dual function. The staff tucks the comforter and sheets underneath the cover when you first arrive, so its a welcome surprise to know that you have easy access to sleeping arrangements should you have several individuals in a room. Each futon is about the size of a standard twin. The mattresses both on the standard bed and the futons were beyond comfortable Each room comes stocked with a safe, water boiler (with refreshments), hairdryer, and flatscreen TV. I suggest if you need to iron or steam your clothes to invest in a hand-held, portable steamer because, like many of the hotels in Paris, it was quite difficult to come across an iron or an ironing board. Our view was just alright considering we faced a humid outside window facing the street and the opening to the breakfast buffet area, but considering we were out sightseeing most of the day, it wasn't too much of a problem. The workout room is incredibly convenient. You can actually access it by card using a separate, special elevator explicitly for hotel guests separate from the standard elevators to guest rooms. Once entered, you have access to a huge screen with music options you can search and type in, a small bar for barre training with a mat underneath, treadmills, and ellipticals. If I'm not mistaken, there may have also been a row machine but don't quote me. Brilliant use of a small space with plenty of mirrors. Street-facing elliptical so if its a chore to exercise for you as it is me, you can always people watch at the nearby cafes. Plenty to do outside, and you are quite literally steps away from the RER and metro station. Convenient, sleek, and modern. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
The staff was Phenomenal. Morgan at the bar was so very helpful and suggested a wine that was great even though they didn't have it at the time, Frank at the bar was did well and was nice and tried to help us learn some French words. I was able to find the wine elsewhere later. John and Benjamin at the concierge desk we so helpful and made our last day here great. John got us a great taxi and made sure to give us tips to stay safe when getting one back. Benjamin was instrumental in helping us choose a great spot for our last dinner here. All the staff we interacted with at the hotel were great and we would love to come back.

Yelp
After a really long journey from the US to Paris we arrived at the beautiful Novotel lobby. The woman who checked us in was so nice, she provided us with a map and showed us how to get around the city. We decided to upgrade our room to the suite, which was well worth it. We had plenty of space for our week long stay. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to us having to return to the US with travel restrictions being implemented due to Covid-19. When we went to the desk at 4am, I explained our situation and they graciously refunded our upgrade cost for the remaining stay. We originally booked through a 3rd party so they were unable to refund the 3 nights directly but told us to reach out to the 3rd party for that. I highly recommend this hotel!

Yelp
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE THERE ARE WAY BETTER HOTELS IN PARIS. The front door was broken at 5am and I couldn't get into the hotel (not the safest neighborhood to be standing in the street as 2 women traveling). Front desk worker proceeded to tell tell me "I'm American" so I must be complaining because I'm rude (and apparently I'm also too dumb to work the door like I don't know how to press a doorbell? Ok.) Manager also was not believing us until we showed him a video of us literally breaking the door to get inside like we have time at 5 in the morning to make a scene?) so we left at 6am. Don't stay here. I stayed at a way cheaper hotel called 9hotel Paris for a lower price (stay there way cuter and way better for the price). These people literally would rather let us cancel the reservation than admit their door broke...GHETTO

Yelp
Novotel Paris les Halles is a great place for anyone going to Paris and wanting to stay in an extremely convenient location. I found that the prices were quite competitive for the area and more reasonable than others with similar ratings. Great restaurants, great bars, great wine, great sites and easy transportation all within minutes of each other. This hotel is really centrally located with regard to many of the typical touristy sites. A short walk in one direction will get you to Notre Dame and the River Seine. A short walk in another direction will get you to Le Louvre. If you feel compelled, you can take the historic walk from there all the way to the Eiffel tower, or you can more conveniently take the metro which is located just behind the hotel...complete with RER access to the airport. The front desk and concierge are very helpful and all speak English. They provide you with maps and are able to communicate directions to anywhere you want to go. Breakfast is great! Be sure to look for hotel deals that include Internet and breakfast in the daily rate. The easy access to the metro really translates into this: transportation to and from the airport via the RER-B will be $10 euro each way. That means you get to your hotel within an hour and can be hitting the streets in no time! Alternatively, you can take a taxi to and form the airport and sit in traffic for hours and spend $50 euro each way.

Yelp
Maybe I need to adjust my expectations for Europe but this wasn't very nice at all. Room was dark, a little dirty, seemed old even though it was remodeled. The place was nice for my conference and those facilities were great but not the rooms. Tip - it is very hard to get to the hotel and our Uber driver dropped us a mile away with luggage. Get a Paris cab! Tip - bring your own iron! Although my colleague was able to borrow one, I was told they didn't have any.

Yelp
You really can't beat the location. It's right near a mall (Les Halles), which also happens to be a stop along the RER from the airport. It makes it a lot easier to get back to the airport when you've got an early flight on the day you leave. The hotel itself was is tastefully minimalist in style. The rooms are a decent size although the floor I was on was undergoing construction, so there was dust and chemical smells. I'm not sure if how common free wi-fi in hotels is in Paris, but they charge per day for use in the rooms. We got a room at one end of the hotel and the signal was pretty week. The staff at the front desk was very friendly. They provided plenty of recommendations when asked. My only complaint was that one morning, we had to go to meet the bus at an really early hour for a trip to Mont St. Michel. We asked the front desk if there was any place opened at that hour to grab a quick bite (croissant or something) since the bus trip was going to be long. They told us to go to the restaurant in the hotel for food. When we went there, it was a buffet. We didn't have time nor did we want to spend that much money for food, so we asked if we could buy just a croissant. They seemed perplexed and scrambled a bit before they sold us 2 tiny croissants and a small coffee for about 15 euros. That was hardly expected but we didn't have much of a choice.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my stay here. Friendly, English-speaking staff. Always helpful. Right around the corner from the Les Halles metro and mall. Many cafes and shops nearby. Small convenience store 2 doors down. Piano player in the bar in the evenings. Centrally located to everything which was either a walk away or a metro ride away. My only complaint is that it was a little hard to get in and out of the bath tub as the tub side was very high. Otherwise, no problems. I was surprised the hotel was very quiet, even with construction going on across the street. The hotel was smaller than I thought it would be, though the rooms are large by European standards. I was in a double bed with 2 single beds room. Upon check-in the desk staff person said I was in a double bed with sofa bed room overlooking the courtyard. I couldn't see the courtyard, but I think I got a better room. Noticed that the hotel does receive a lot or repeat business. I just wished the desk staff would explain more about the hotel upon check-in to newbies. Otherwise, would definitely recommend staying here if you want to be in a central location.

Yelp
IF I COULD GIVE THIS HOTEL 0 STARS I WOULD. I purchased a 3 day stay at this hotel for a little over $1100 through expedia. NOW I am unable to get to france due to the corona virus and the hotel is basically telling me that they will not give me a refund for a trip I cannot take. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH! I need the hotel to contact me to get me a full refund for a trip I am not allowed to take.

Yelp
Hotel Experience: The rooms are pretty spacious (people always told me to be prepared for the small rooms and bathrooms in Paris but it wasn't too bad) and the interior is pretty modern. I reserved the superior room and that is what I would recommend for others if you are traveling for two. Also, was concerned with the language barrier but don't worry, every single person spoke French and English. Some people were more fluent than others. However, things that I would have to say were not good are: 1. Housekeeping does not vacuum. Day one will be pretty good, day two, day three,... day 6, it just got worse and worse. 2. Housekeeping either cleans slow or they start late. We left the hotel at 9am and came back around 5:30pm for an hour break before heading back out and going to dinner. The room wasn't cleaned yet so we took the do not disturb sign off and waited until we heard someone come in to clean and then left the room so we can get in a short break. (That happened more than once.) 3. Construction outside is so loud and it doesn't matter what time of day, it sounded like someone was jack hammering above my head and we had to force ourselves to just not come back until it was late at night to come back. I do not recommend staying at this place if you are planning to do any sort of work in the hotel, or waking up later than 9am. The drilling started around 8am where it became unbearable. Also, this construction will continue for the next few years or more from what I heard from front desk and the signs outside showing all the changes they are doing in that neighborhood. 4. Do not order drinks at the hotel bar. The bar is 'pretty' but the drinks are extremely over priced and if you order a cocktail, it is watered down. It's better to just go to a small shop literally outside and buy drinks there and bring back to your room. Location Experience: Do not stay here. Stay at a place close to the Louve or shopping areas IF you are here for vacation and family. The Metro and RER stop for this hotel is super unsafe (and even more unsafe is you are Asian). This was my personal experience but day one in Paris and headed to this hotel, we got robbed and we regretted picking this location (the Police won't do anything and even the Parisians). We may have also just been super unlucky but read up on this area after that incident and there was a lot more crime in this area due to the subway stop. We stayed for 6 days and every night, we felt super uneasy coming back to the hotel at night and couldn't wait to leave. If you do stay here, do not take the Metro or RER, I recommend a cab or Uber (when traveling with multiple bags), but the Metro is okay if traveling in day time with no bags. The address to enter if you want to be dropped off close to the hotel (due to all the construction, Uber won't know where to drop or pick you up if you don't pick the right address): 35 Rue Saint Honore

Joe K.

Yelp
My daughter and I stayed here when we were in Paris for a couple of days. As others mentioned the construction around the hotel was minor in my opinion. We were rarely in our room during the day, except to maybe drop some stuff off. Hotel staff were friendly, room was a bit small but clean. We really only slept and showered in the hotel the rest of the time we were out sight seeing. The hotel bar's prices were very expensive and not worth it in my opinion

This hotel - the space, the staff, and the location - is incredible! The king bed was super comfortable and the room was very large and clean. Little things like extra large towels made it extra awesome. I had room service one morning and the breakfast buffet two mornings. The food is fresh and delicious, as good as any legit Parisian café. Now the staff - SUPER helpful, very willing and able to give recommendations, help me with public transportation, etc. Plus they all spoke very good English for my fellow Americans out there. And finally the location. Literally about 5 steps from the metro and RER train lines. I would estimate over 50 cafes within 10 minutes walking distance. This hotel is in Les Halles, a very popular area for bars and restaurants as well as shopping! I felt very safe here. And a short walk to the Siene River. All in all, this was an outstanding experience! HIGHLY recommend!

Yelp
It depends on what you're looking for. Are you looking for a 5 star hotel at 3 star prices? Keep looking. But, if you are looking for a decent place to stay within walking distance from the Notre Dame, the Mona Lisa, etc, then this is your place. That being said, I gave the hotel 3 stars because of some leftover hair in the shower (no extra charge, I hope) and the fact the a/c (assuming they have it here) isn't working. We had to change rooms the second day, and we got lucky with a room where the window opened. Also... This just came to mind... The front desk wasn't really helpful with any dinner reservations. I went down on three different occasions, and spoke to 3 different people, and they all recommended the same two restaurants. Makes me think they got a kick-back if we went... Needless to say we didn't go...

Yelp
Always like staying at this hotel because it is so close to all the attractions and the transportation hub is right there. If you fly into Paris the RER drops you off right at the doorstep. It is usually about a 45 minute train ride from the airport. The hotel is clean and accommodating. Not much amenities but that is ok. Lots of bars and restaurants close by. You can walk to the Louvre, Notre Dome and St Honore which is one of the main shopping streets. I highly recommend if you can get a good deal.

Yelp
First warning, there is a lot of construction to the point that cabs and Uber wouldn't come to the hotel. We used the tube arriving but leaving we tried to get Uber and couldn't We were concerned with missing our flights with the air traffic control strike so walked out 4 blocks to Rue du Rivoli and there were no Ubers around. The one driver who took the trip then cancelled it. The area was much worse; home to hookers, drug dealers, etc but when Paris was trying to be an Olympic city, they started working on the area. That slowed greatly when they dropped their bid. They still station lots of security to check bags at the entrance to the mall behind the hotel and every other sign we saw in the stations was about theft, drugs, etc. There were constant warnings about pickpockets. The hotel staff were friendly but if you have any sort of allergies, asthma, etc., avoid this hotel. They are updating the rooms and there are high levels of VOCs. We expected the charges for the 3 items from the mini fridge but $100 euro for 2 local calls to Air France, plus taxes, when we were bumped from out flight and had to make other arrangements was highway robbery. Also, the coffee machine in the room is loud enough to wake the neighbors and doesn't make great coffee. Breakfast had a good selection but there was no timer for the boiled egg station and the scrambled eggs always seemed undercooked. Finally, the beds were very uncomfortable. The overall impression was IKEA flat pack furniture with thin, futon style mattresses on a hard platform. I would never stay at this hotel again, and I recommend against staying here.

Yelp
Loved our stay here! Extremely welcoming staff. Nice rooms. Located right next to the metro. Highly recommendable.

Yelp
We usually stay at this hotel while in Paris. It is centrally located and easily reached from CDG or the Gare de l'est. It is a solid mid price range business type hotel.

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel with my family. The rooms are OK but I have to admit that the toilets are weird. But the most important of all this hotel is kids friendly. Everyday in the breakfast they have a little gooddie for the kids. I definitely recommend.

Yelp
I stayed at Novotel les Halles on a business trip, and will not make the mistake again. My first night, I checked in efficiently, and I ate at the hotel restaurant with colleagues. The portion size was small, and the wine was mediocre. This unfortunately was not the worst part. The worst part was that I ordered a chocolate lava cake and it came with the center still frozen. I was deeply insulted and my colleagues and I had to send it back. It is one thing to serve food that is not fresh, it is quite another to serve still-frozen food. When I went to my room, it was clean, and modern (possible the only redeeming part of my stay). That night, I slept poorly unfortunately. The pillows were very low quality, and there were not different types of pillows for different preferences. In the morning I requested different (softer) pillows to be sent up at the front desk. The receptionist was happy to inform me that this would not be possible, and that all Novotels world-wide have only a single type of [low-quality] pillows. For the remainder of my stay, I ended up sleeping with the pillow from the couch instead, which was marginally better. When I returned in the evening, the room had been cleaned but the toiletries had not been refreshed. As I can make my own bed, I kept the do not disturb sign on for the remainder of my stay, since it seemed like there was literally no additional value in the room service. Overall, I'm very disappointed with my stay and will do my best to not stay at this (or likely any other) Novotel again.

Yelp
Great location, in the center of numerous resto and cafes! Great service too! Great staff, just like the chambermaid, Ms Perrera. Our room at 462 is always neat and clean. I will definitely come back to this hotel!

Yelp
I stay at this hotel 3-4 times a year for business due to the location. Nice hotel but it depends which rooms/floors you're in/on. I don't recommend staying in the standard rooms, they're full shit and not worth the money. They don't even give you conditioner! Hotel staff are extremely slow and will take their time at everything they do (I guess that's just the Paris culture). Have stayed in their deluxe rooms and it's much nicer and worth the $60euro upgrade per night. Not all reception staff are slow and have shit service. I won't mention names this time.

Yelp
We came to Europe for spring break this year, staying 2-3 days in each place. I booked this hotel after reading many reviews and researching the area. I wanted a place close to cafes, restaurants, and tourist attractions. I very picky, i wanted a hotel that was modern and clean, great service service and staff, and especially with clean and modern bathrooms, so I am willing to pay more. I have stayed in many hotels in Europe that were nice, but the bathrooms were either awkward or old (sometimes creepy), clean but not clean looking, I know it's weird. We rented a car from Germany and drove here. It is a bit tricky to find the place even with a GPS. They have no parking, so we parked in a car park about 7 minute walk from the hotel and paid 75 Euros for 2 days. The hotel has a lot of construction going on around it. The hotel lobby was modern and warm, very lovely. Every time we either came or left we were promptly greeted with a smile. The staff was very friendly and always helpful, giving us directions and advice. The room was small, even tighter with a sofa bed for my daughter , but quaint. We even had a safe and of course I was very happy with the bathroom, very nice, modern, and clean! I reluctantly paid extra for the breakfast, I think either 20 dollars or euros, but I am glad I did The breakfast was not only excellent but there was an abundant amount of food. We will vacation again in Europe next year and will definitely book this hotel again!

Yelp
While they class themselves as a four star hotel it's more on the line of 3.5 stars I recommend this hotel for its location only. The room was ok but 'minimal', the staff were enthusiastic but slow and have difficulty understanding english at times. I might stay there again only if the price is right.

Yelp
This is the worst hotel ever. The staff is unaccommodating and dismissive. We stayed here for a few nights in late June. Our room was small and dirty. The a/c didn't work and the window was not operational. We asked for a fan and were told "no". Homeless people sleep right outside the door and you have to leap over piles of human feces when leaving the property. Too expensive for what it is. I feel like I was totally ripped off.

Yelp
Stayed at hotel for 4 nights this May and must say I was very disappointed with the hotel. Location is OK but surrounded by a major construction which makes access by car inaccessible where Ubers and taxis have to drop people off a few blocks away to access the hotel. But our biggest disappointment was related to the rooms. Bathroom has no ventilation, carpets are semi clean, sink was clogged, bed was squeaky, plastic cups (no glasses) and limited amenities (no body lotion, no conditioner and one soap) are a few of the things that surprised me, as I was expecting more from this 4 star hotel.

Yelp
The Novotel is in a great location, has terrific and hip decor and comfortable rooms. The shining stars are guest relations workers Paulina andMarjorie. They definitely knew who you were and went out of their way to be helpful. They arranged airport transportation, called taxis and made dinner reservations. I would definitely stay here again. My only negative comment has to do with the breakfast buffet. The food was never hot even when refilled with new product. Cold bacon and eggs doesn't cut it.

Yelp
the location is good but be careful when booking. we arranged pre paid breakfasts and a late checkout and gave the confirmation voucher to reception you. check in. on the day before checkout we found out that the hotel denied our voucher and we have to pay 80 euro per day for the mediocre breakfast and no late checkout.

Yelp
Lots of pros and cons here. Some are one and the same. The location is excellent but also kind of awful. It's so central that many attractions are walkable, and you're close to two major metro stops. It's also so central that it's a bit soul-less and the neighborhood is not especially charming. The location is ideal for new visitors to Paris, but I would not stay in this area again. As to the hotel itself, it's also a mixed bag. The rooms are clean, decently sized and recently renovated. The bathrooms are nice. The beds and bedding are not very good. The front desk is helpful and multilingual. Housekeeping was hit-and-miss during our one week stay. We repeatedly saw room service trays sit out in the hallway for 12 or even 24 hours. We made the mistake of having laundry done. We figured it would cost a lot, but we honestly could have thrown away all our clothes and bought new clothes in Paris for less than the laundry service cost. I've had suits dry cleaned by nicer hotels in Manhattan for less than it cost to clean a pile of underwear here. Overall, this made a good home base for exploring Paris, but if I return to the city, I'll choose a different neighborhood and a different hotel family.

Yelp
If you're looking for a relaxing stay in Paris, STAY AWAY FROM THE Novatel Paris les Halles! We booked a 3 night stay here and the trouble began from the time we got in the Taxi when the driver had to explain to us that he could not drive us to the hotel, that he could only drop us on the street because of construction. Upon arrival, there were cranes, construction workers, cars, motorcycles and the view was anything but pleasant OR relaxing. The noise began at 7:00am and shook the whole building the entire day. When booking our reservation directly from the web site, there was absolutely NO mention of construction, but the hotel is surrounded with it! The air conditioning barely cooled the room. The restroom shower was an open shower that sprayed water all over the floor and leaked on the carpet into the bedroom side of the glass wall. The closet was like a shoebox with horrible doors that belong in a mobile home, rather than in a "nice" hotel. The bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab with noisey foam pillows. If I were you, I'd book my stay with ANY other hotel than the Novatel, unless you don't intend to get any sleep during your stay.
