Novotel Suites Nancy Centre

Spacious suites, friendly staff, parking available. 10 minutes in walking distance from the city center. Very good pizzeria across the street next to the Kinepolis ( movie theater).

The receptionists. Some were friendly, some were neutral but one was distant/ aloof. Cleanliness. Was generally ok. However, the room wasn't made up on Sunday 29 December 2024. Later in the afternoon, a knock on the door to ask if we needed anything for the room. On arrival, we found the room rather warm so turned down the temperature of the air-conditioning. Yet the air vents continued to circulate hot air. I was informed that I needed to switch off the air conditioning unit and open the window to allow the cold air in! The bed was small with the mattress sagging towards the edges/sides. The casting facility onto the TV from my mobile phone was unsatisfactory as the program got frequently interrupted. The elevator gets busy at breakfast time so just use the staircase.

I feel the lady who checked us in on Thursday 25th was biased and racist in her attitude. Booked the hotel because it had a safe and parking was available. No where was it written you needed to pre book parking as I assumed like other hotels it was a first come first serve basis. We got into the parking and were asked to remove our car within 10 minutes as we didn’t pre book. We had driven 6 hours and barely had enough time to get our luggage out as the elevator was slow in going up. Didn’t want to be pulling suitcases along the streets for a check in that would have been easier if we were informed of this. Booked a few weeks ahead of time so could have easily done this. Was put in a room ( room 203) where nothing worked and I am sure this is because it asked what country of birth we were. Safe didn’t work, phone didn’t work and bathroom door didn’t shut. We were in a room with kids who were old enough to be aware and couldn’t have a shower with door shut. We had to put a wedge with a slippers on. Also had to keep going downstairs to ask simple basic questions and phone was broke and there was no information booklet in our room. I usually like staying in Novotel but this has made me question my automatically booking a Novotel. Will look round next time as the experience almost ruined my stay. No apologies about things that were wrong and she simply had very poor customer service. The morning staff on Friday 25th were a lot nicer, hence the 2 points. Would have been zero or 1. Wouldn’t stay there again no matter how close it is. Poor discriminatory behaviour. She needs to be retrained.

Good value for the price. Breakfast included. Very good food, selection of meats and cheese. Freshly pressed juice. Nice and clean, though carpet in room. A littled weared down some places. Gym has 4 apperals and some light weights. Pool was at least 30 degrees. |Parking slots was the most spacious we have had on our vacation, could probably fit a Hummer. Walking distance to lots of resturants. Recommend a stay

For a stopover we booked 2 rooms for an overnight stay in this hotel. Rooms have just been renovated and look beautiful. Location is great if you also want to visit the old center of Nancy or grab a restaurant. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast could be a bit more varied.

I guess I should also have gone on website to be checking for points I can be caught out. It should be clearly stated. Why will the information not be included??. What is the point of subscribing to ALL app and being able to book as I go if information is not complete? I travel a lot and the whole experience including the accusatory response is unacceptable. You can not dictate my experience or try to turn it against me. Work on your customer service. Never again will I be staying there.

Nice place for a stopover. Family room was very large and the breakfast was very good. Lots of choice. The only minor thing was that there was no space in the parking although I requested this in the reservation (on which I didn’t get a reply so communication could improve). We ended up parking I a side street, it was free but it didn’t feel comfortable leaving all our holiday luggage in the car overnight.

Large room. Nice enough for a few days. Really good shower.. Didn't really like the two single mattresses pushed together to make a double. I found the room to be quite warm but the aircon wasn't working. Reception told me that it was too soon to have the aircon in the room available. No fans available or lighter Duvets. So that was disappointing. Also the kettle lid was broken and would fall off whilst pouring the hot water. Really quite dangerous. Reception said there wasn't a replacement available. Again, very disappointing. Breakfast was very simple. Not a great choice. No restaurant for dinner but plenty of good restaurants nearby. Overall, for a Novotel, I was a bit disappointed.
