Novotel Thalassa Le Touquet offers a few pleasant surprises for fitness-minded guests — with some notable caveats.
SWIMMING POOL:
The standout feature is the 25-meter pool, a rarity in hotels and a real plus for dedicated swimmers. One lane is often reserved and free for lap swimming. However, there are no markings on the floor or walls, making it difficult to stay straight or time turns properly — especially challenging at one end where the water is extremely shallow (about 40–50 cm). Flip turns are nearly impossible there. Also, the saltwater can be irritating to sensitive eyes and mouths.
FITNESS ROOM:
The gym has a beautiful view and works well for cardio, yoga, or mobility training. There are treadmills and basic equipment available. However, strength training options are very limited — only a small selection of free weights, a cable machine, and a few kettlebells. Definitely not ideal for serious weightlifters.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES:
The hotel’s location is perfect for beach runs, surfing, and other outdoor sports (not included in the hotel stay). Fitness-focused guests will find great complementary activities in the surrounding area.
OVERALL:
For endurance athletes, swimmers, or yoga lovers, Novotel Thalassa Le Touquet offers a solid base with good value. Strength-focused athletes may be disappointed by the gym setup.
