Novotel Wollongong Northbeach

My family and I have stayed here multiple times and it has not disappointed us. The service, rooms, food and the location has been great! The service from reception to housekeeping, staff at Northbar/Palisade and to anyone I see roaming around the hotel; they all greet us with a smile. My kids love the pool and best yet, they love the beach which is right across the hotel which is so convenient We have stayed here during school holidays and they have this little room right across reception with a movie playing and kids activities which I found great while my husband and I can unwind at Northbar. Highly recommend staying at Novotel, you feel walk out feeling relaxed

My family and I travel frequently to Wollongong during the year. Novotel north beach location is the best option in terms of hotel stays with room service and amazing food options. We stay here every time we visit and don’t ever regret it. The location itself is an awesome perk and can’t forget the beautiful buffet breakfast. Great food options for all types of diets. Novotel North beach is very family-friendly and the kids love the pool. Would recommend this hotel to all.

Absolutely amazing stay, booked last minute & had an extremely beautiful stay, ocean view was amazing, felt like a little staycation literally did not need to leave with the amenities of a mini convenience store, restaurants, bars and other amenities like gym and pool, the food and drinks were amazing was not expecting that quality from a hotel definitely surprised me and my husband, the prawn and lobster rolls were amazing, the poek skewers , oysters and zucchini flowers were delicious and the cocktails were top notch would defiantly stay again and recommend to anyone travelling long or short stay. Hotel staff were lovely and accomodating even offered us 12pm checkout. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Experience Thanks to Mae at Novotel Hotels Our experience at the Novotel in Australia was nothing short of incredible, and it all started with Mae, who truly went above and beyond in every way. We had just discovered—late in the day—that our VRBO had no air conditioning and no window screens, right in the middle of a summer heat wave near the beach. With multiple families traveling together, I walked down to the Novotel that evening honestly expecting the odds to be stacked against us. I wasn’t sure we could afford it, wasn’t sure they would even have availability, and definitely didn’t think we’d find two rooms on the same floor. Mae took the time to calmly walk me through every option, explain the process, and advocate for us in a way that felt far beyond what her normal duties likely require. Thanks to her incredible effort, we secured our rooms and were checked in by 10:30 that night—a huge relief after an extremely stressful situation. The following four days were absolutely fantastic. The beds were comfortable, the amenities were plentiful, and the location simply couldn’t be better. Beach access, swimming, restaurants, clubs, nightlife—everything you’d want is within easy walking distance of the hotel. We will 100% be staying here again. If you’re considering booking this hotel, do it—you won’t regret it. And if Mae helps you, know that you’re in truly exceptional hands.

Stayed for a work conference and was thrilled with the venue. Rooms were comfortable, conference rooms perfectly set up with gorgeous deck space. Food was excellent quality and tasty- not too great and filling with lovely breakfast buffet. Highly recommended.

Location was perfect. Easy quick check in, room was clean, comfortable soft bed, the bathroom was old with stained bath and basin, floor tiles were dated and found hair from previous guests. Used the heated pool at night, it wasn’t that clean, a greasy layer was floating on top of the pool. In my opinion the hotel deserves a 3* however the buffet breakfast was very poor. Too many people for the amount of food served. I literally couldn’t find any scrambled eggs, also no pastries, most of the plates were empty and for a long time. People were looking for places to sit, It was 8am on a Saturday. Will I visit again maybe but for sure I won’t purchase breakfast included,

Have stayed their a number of times and always been happy with the service.|this year prices were crazy $1528 for 2 nights.... not including breakfast ( $42 each ) or parking ($39 per night!) you would expect to have that included. we had an ocean view balcony room.... the sliding doors to the balcony were broken and did not shut.. constant wind whistling all night. Service/staff at the bar on 26/12 were minimal and unthusiastic... slow service, forgotten orders. Will say the staff at the bar 27/12 were great, but still forgot our last drink order. Also in the pool area the roof above needs maintenance - a coat of paint even. Might want to check the edges of the balconies too - lots of concrete coping missing - hate it to and on someone.|Breakfast amazing - but couldnt sit outside as door was broken

Location & very clean rooms - all positive. Right accross from the beach and brekke buffet was yummy (although $40 per person a bit pricey). However, value for money is overall lacking. Paid parking at $39 per night is exorbitant considering the price of the room. The amenities such as the pool bar & pool were overrun by noisy children at all hours of the day. Not really the "relax by the pool" kind of venue as advertised, especially as the pool area was very small. Much more of a family venue which does make sense given time of the year. However- it's a lost opportunity as I would have happily spent money on drinks every night - but not with kids running around, unfortunately. Needs a cocktail hour or something. Gym was good but strangely warm/stuffy so not comfortable to use. Spent very little time at the hotel as a result and mostly out and about. If I'd known this, we would have just booked a cheaper accommodation. The actual room was comfortable - we did open the windows for some airflow. Housekeeping was lovely :)

The hotel is clean, perfect location and a friendly staff. The food was not good. Not fresh.

Nice hotel, staff friendly and a great wine bar. Has an awesome wine sample paddle and great share dishes.

We stayed here for a wedding through Le Accor club membership in Jan '17. There were 3 on that same day. Check in was smooth with reception providing early check in and extra room keys with no hassle along with car parking for 3 days despite only booking 1 night and wifi included. The staff happily made sure the mimosas I ordered were sent up to the bridal suite and little touches such as rose petals and champagne were waiting in room for the happy couple after the reception. We paid for an ocean view upgrade which was lovely and there were cockatoos on the balcony during the day. It was also pretty cool to see the skydivers landing at the park across the way. Buffet breakfast in the morning had a fantastic selection and the cost was standard hotel prices although you do get a bit of an ocean view. Note they also had an enclosed kids play area in the lobby. Room facilities were nice and modern with nice toiletries. The shower pressure was great and hot hot water too. I will admit I got a bit stalker-ish trying to find the maker and type of bed used. It was so comfy I wanted 1 for home but they are custom made for that hotel. Some other guests complained about lack of parking. I did have noisy neighbors on the balcony at 5am which carried on but decided to go for a walk along the beach at sunrise. Would definitely recommend and stay again although I would book early as the rack rate is too rich for my blood.
