The hotel location was good and the rooms were relatively clean. That’s all the good things I can say about this hotel. It is one of the most disappointing Novotel hotels I have stayed in across the world.
The rooms were inconsistent, most of us were missing different items in our rooms (missing towels, amenities, slippers and even lights). Unfortunately, my room was missing the main lamp that would illuminate the room. Hence, I was staying in almost darkness throughout my stay (as in the photos). Despite requesting for a lamp multiple times at the front desk, nothing was done. The reception also gaslit me - on the second time I requested for the lights at night, they suggested that I try asking again in the morning, as if that helped.
Some of us only had cold water in our shower, while I only had hot burning water in mine which couldn’t be adjusted.
The breakfast food options were basic and every morning, our table would be missing something (e.g. forks, spoons, knives or napkins - as in the photos). On our first breakfast, a staff member forced us to submit positive google reviews, despite not serving us at all. He asked for his name to be included and stood over us until he ensured everyone gave a good review.
