We stopped here briefly on a bus tour of Gdansk and only saw the exterior. From the outside, this 1893 lighthouse is not particularly impressive. But lighthouse geeks would enjoy seeing this because the mechanisms were innovative in their day.

A lot of WW2 history is here in this lighthouse. And you can get a great view from the top. And some cool artwork outside! And you can watch the ships coming in and going out. And... that's a lot of ANDs for one place. There is the tram stop "Latarnia Morska" In Brzeźno to get there.

Wonderful place to visit, which gives you the overview of the port with different types of ships, the sea and Westerplatte.

Beautiful, one of the most historical place in the world. The lighthouse where the firsts shots of the the second World War were fired. Well mantained. The time bowl still works: goes up then down every day at 12, 14, 16 and 18. If you're lucky enough to meet the "captain" jacek who usually sits in front of the lighthouse, let him tell you the history of the lighthouse, the history of his life, and other interesting things like the purpose of the time bowl and how it works. It's really worth it! A super sweet and beatiful person.

Really interesting place. Unfortunatelly there is no Family tickets available and with 2 adults and the kids it was a quite expensive experience.

Fascinating to visit the site of the first shots fired in World War 2, and have a great view out across the city and the bay.
