Prior to our arrival, we phoned to check if we needed to pay extra if our kids brought a friend each. We were told no, but when we arrived, we were charged an additional $40.00 and informed that information was incorrect. No apologies or discussion just told to pay. Our en-suite powered site was also only stocked with two towels for six people and told that they have no more even though the original booking was for 4 people – thankfully, we always bring our own. On Saturday morning, we grabbed some coffees, which were nice, but the staff’s attitude left a lot to be desired. Everything seemed like an inconvenience rather than a service. Later that day, someone unfortunately had an accident in the pool, and while that’s obviously out of the park’s control, it took over an hour before guests were notified of the closure. Bingo that evening was a highlight – really fun, and we even won some free coffee vouchers, lollies, and chocolates. However, when we tried to use the vouchers the next morning, the same poor customer service reappeared. The staff member questioned where we got them and why they weren’t signed, eventually accepting them but clearly not happy about it. Food at the café was very expensive, so I’d recommend bringing your own meals. There also aren’t many BBQs available, so campers should plan ahead and bring one. Our en-suite itself was old and in need of renovation. The site layout was odd – we had to park half on fake turf and half on dirt, or else sit half on each, and our caravan isn’t large (only 18’6”). The overall setup felt awkward and dated. On our last day, with nice weather, we asked politely about a possible late checkout but were met with a blunt and rude “no.” It was disappointing, especially considering the numerous signs around the park warning that rude behaviour towards staff would not be tolerated — apparently, that doesn’t go both ways. We did enjoy the hot chips and bacon & egg roll from the café – both were great. The standout of the trip, however, was the guy behind the bar — absolutely fantastic customer service. He deserves 5 stars on his own! Unfortunately, the constant sewage smell around parts of the park was quite unpleasant and hard to ignore. Overall, the park feels old and run down, and the customer service (aside from the bar staff) was very poor. It’s a beautiful location, but we’d recommend considering other spots along the South Coast that are better maintained and have friendlier staff.

The location is amazing. The food was good. And there's plenty of stuff for all the family to do. The beach is literally on your doorstep. Plus, there's kangaroos that are so mellow, they come right up to your door. It's now our favourite place and we plan to come back often. Would be particularly good as a writers or artist retreat. Highly recommended. 👍👍

The park itself is wonderful, great for kids, close to beach etc. Rooms need a bit of upgrading but it was fine. Our trip was great however one night we dined in at the restaurant, there was a big group of us. There was a waitress named Johanna who was very rude and unpleasant. She may have been experiencing a bad day but there was no need for her attitude on the night. She was delivering meals with a sour look on her face and pretty much just throwing the plates down on the table. The other girls were absolutely lovely and the food wasn’t too bad.

Murramarang was a gem of a park, we loved it. We stayed in our rented 8 meter Motor home on an ensuite site.|The staff were very friendly and helpful and the park was well managed.|We had a great experience here as there were wild wallabies around the campsite, and it was right on the beach. |Despite arriving as reception was closing, we were pleasantly surprised to hear the restaurant was still open despite it being off peak. We had a lovely meal there. |We were encouraged to go for a walk and did not feel rushed to check out. |We would not hesitate to recommend this park.

The amenities are badly run down no locks on the doors to enter them which i found strange. The check in lady was very polite and helpful. The people working in the cafe area need to really cheer up your working in a holiday resort. The bathrooms had no toilet paper in the toilets no hand towel to dry your hands. Broken shower heads holes in the ceiling . I was expecting a lot more as it has such a high star rating.

The location of this park is perfection. Most amenities are good and functional, but their cleanliness needs some work. One of the kitchens didn’t have hot water and a very slow draining sink. The en-suite powered site I had had a lot of mould around the shower screen.

The resort itself is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay, with great facilities and amenities. Unfortunately, my experience this time was badly let down by the service at the bistro and Sippy’s. On multiple occasions, the way several staff spoke to us was unprofessional and uncomfortable. I was even made to feel anxious about going back for a simple coffee after receiving unnecessary, smart comments about how many sugars I use. When my daughter visited, things became worse. She was sold alcohol without issue, yet when she went to order drinks a second time, The same staff member questioned her ID and then stared at it in silence for several minutes, making her feel embarrassed in front of others. Later, when we politely asked if drinks could be delivered to our table, the reply was, “Yeah, well you’re lucky it’s happy hour.” When the drinks were finally brought over, the same staff member noticed my vape on the table and loudly announced that smoking/vaping isn’t allowed indoors—something I was already fully aware of. It felt unnecessary and humiliating. The staff wouldn’t stop staring at us the whole time we were inside the pool area, making us feel extremely uncomfortable. I came back to stay here because I remembered how fantastic it was years ago, with staff who were welcoming and respectful. Sadly, this time was very different. Guests deserve to feel comfortable and respected, and I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously, because the way staff treat people will ultimately drive visitors away.

We had a wonderful two-night stay on an Ensuite site at NRMA Murramarang. Everything was just perfect — the location is stunning, right by the ocean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The private shower cabin was spotless, and the staff at reception were incredibly helpful and welcoming. But the real highlight? The kangaroos freely hopping around the campground! 🤩 Such a magical and unique experience. We truly wished we could have stayed longer.
