NRMA Stockton Beach Holiday Park

By far the best camp site we’ve stayed in during our lap of Australia. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The sites were a good size. The toilets/showers were a little outdated but worked well and were always clean. We especially loved the huge camp kitchen which had everything in it that you would need. Even an air fryer! The adjoining TV room to the camp kitchen was an added bonus. Nice large room with board games, books, TV, comfortable sofas and tables and chairs. There was even an old school arcade machine which was free! Location is perfect. Very close to the beautiful beach. The sunsets and sunrises were out of this world.

We travelled from Brisbane and had a fantastic stay at Stockton Beach Holiday Park. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the sites were clean and well-kept, and the amenities were spotless. The maintenance man was always cheerful and helpful, which really added to our stay. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the beach and main street, with the ferry only about 15 minutes walk away. We enjoyed the amazing views, watching the big boats come in, the nearby café was great, and the playgrounds the kids enjoyed. We didn’t get to try the bowls club this time, but it’s on our list for next visit. Overall, a great holiday park and well worth the trip from Brisbane.

Lovely place to stay and the staff are very helpful but sadly the camp kitchen is chaos sadly my friends and I were unable to enjoy the facilities of cooking a meal in the kitchen I was told by the staff that children are not allowed in the camp kitchen without their parents but run a muck no parents to be seen and the kids going crazy with that game in the corner which is destructive I think it's called Mortal Kombat so destructive that the kids were starting to punch each other up in the camp kitchen and after that I did not go back and stayed at my site I'm really surprised this game is allowed considering it looks like it's 18 plus and that the government has just made laws that if anyone is 16 and under they cannot use the internet and wondering how this game is still in the camp kitchen because of it no one can have their meals in peace I don't mind kids playing but from what I've seen these computer games have to go adults should not have to put up with this especially 50 plus sadly I had no sleep I have also had young adults partying until three in the morning don't they understand no noise after 10 pm I know you can't be super quiet but it was ridiculous there was singing at the top of their lungs until three in the morning I do have to compliment the staff and how they're able to tolerate this bad behaivior too I'm too old for this crap and no I'm not putting up with it neither should campers travelers and staff I'll be honest I'm not proud of this comment traveling in Australia at the moment is a living hell don't people respect to others in the caravan park and to the staff I know you do the best you can it's not you it's the people

The caravan park was very good. Our site was very wide, easily accommodating our van, with its awning extended and our tow vehicle. It would have been possible to put another vehicle on the site. The site was a little sandy. I guess it is difficult to keep it grassed on a sandy soil, winter and while being used. The amenities were clean and functioning. The staff were very helpful. I would recommend this caravan park.

pros: good base to be able to explore the Newcastle & Port Stephens areas/ if your a keen fisherman the breakwall just outside the park looked like the spot to fish/spacious site / direct access to beach / quicker to jump on the ferry and head over to Newcastle than drive (depending on where your wanting to go obviously) cons: amenities required better cleaning / had to lock up/put away EVERYTHING outside our van(including washing!) as their was nightly thieves throughout the park.

This stay was 18/11 to 21/11/25. Nice park but reception staff are nasty and not helpful at all. We arrived at the allocated check in site with our van and walked into reception was greeted by a very rude lady who said you received all your booking details by email there is no need to come into reception. I advised we are driving and unable to receive emails and we always come inside to check in! She huff and puff and said everyone else can do it! Anyway after some time of pushing paperwork in front of us she explained very quickly where everything is and where our site was. I had to ask her to repeat and a bit slower but she was not happy about that and said it even faster! I asked for the dump point and was told it is not working but should be fixed this afternoon! 4 days later it was fixed! We went out for a day and when we came back and pulled upside out van was approached by a man on a quad bike who said you are speeding and you have to slow down, we apologised and said we didn’t think we where going over 10 klms but he insisted we where. He then SPED off on his quad bike NOT doing the 10klms. We then sat outside of the van watching other drivers and most of them where speeding. I feel we were victimised due to not completing the check in the way they feel it should be. Also there was graffiti throughout the men’s toilets.

Good facilities and close to the beach. No swimming pool but there is a council pool across the road with entry fee of $2. I would have liked more activities for kids apart from the kids gym and swings.

Awesome place to stay space was awesome. Very close to Stockton Beach four-wheel-drive entry plus got to use my generator at night which was amazing. Staff are very friendly would come again and would recommend it to anyone. Awesome park.
