We stayed in a villa, beds were comfortable, the kitchen good (a bit worn), the shower is accessible - the shower head a bit hard to get under especially if you are taller. I would recommend the park if you plan to stay a few days, but not for one night if you plan on travelling onwards, as its too far from the highway and the roads to get there from the highway are rough (plus there are roadworks)! We arrived after reception closed (road works delayed us), they will leave a key in the combination lock box - unfortunately the text about this didn't arrive, so we had some moments of panic, but there is a mobile to call. There is no food on-site (a daytime cafe on the edge of the park offers breakfast, coffee). Fortunately there were some takeaways still open on Mitchell st and we had fish and chips. We were driving a motorhome, we had just picked up - so no bedding etc, make sure you call ahead to check parking, as its tight.

A great park with great staff who were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Nothing seemed to be an issue. The amenities are modern and always clean. The hot water in the main block never seemed really hot would be my only criticism. The location is perfect with a very short walk to the ferry to get across the river to the Newcastle CBD and all the cafes and pubs however Stockton itself has some fantastic eateries all in a very short walking distance It is also a fantastic place to walk with pathways all around and a great dog leash free area including a small beach area. Well worth a extended stay. Thanks guys and girls.

Lovely park. Great location. Very clean and large site. It would be nice to have a privacy screen between site 93 and the dump point. Lovely beaches and break wall walk. We would definitely stay here again :)

Visited Stockton Beach Park to look at sites available for short stay in the future. Lots of sites for large & small vans. Close to beach and walking distance to ferry and local pub. Amenities are very clean and dog friendly, and staff member was very helpful and friendly.

Great park in a great location. This busy park has one of the best camp kitchens we’ve seen. And it’s walking distance to the ferry to Newcastle which only takes 5 mins to cross the river. There’s a lovely beach and coffee and groceries all within walking distance. We enjoyed watching the boats and tugs going in and out too. It’s the perfect place to base yourself when exploring Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.

The staff on duty on the night of June 22nd were absolutely unacceptable. The kitchen was supposed to be open until 9:30 PM, yet they started cleaning up around 8:00 and insisted that it closed at 8:30. I even heard a male staff member mockingly say to a female colleague, “See? I told you we should lock the door.” This kind of attitude is not only unprofessional but also shows complete disregard for guests. English is an international language—don’t assume that speaking Chinese means we don’t understand what’s going on. During this trip, I stayed at nearly ten NRMA properties, and this was by far the worst experience. If management cares at all about their reputation, they need to take this issue seriously and address the staff’s behavior immediately.

This is a hidden gem. We are from Newcastle so it's almost laughable to have a get away on the other side of the harbour but once you are there you feel a million miles away. Amenities are great, sites are large, staff are friendly, beach is great for families. Do yourself a huge favour and experience this place, you won't regret it.
