NRMA Stockton Beach Holiday Park

A great park with great staff who were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Nothing seemed to be an issue. The amenities are modern and always clean. The hot water in the main block never seemed really hot would be my only criticism. The location is perfect with a very short walk to the ferry to get across the river to the Newcastle CBD and all the cafes and pubs however Stockton itself has some fantastic eateries all in a very short walking distance It is also a fantastic place to walk with pathways all around and a great dog leash free area including a small beach area. Well worth a extended stay. Thanks guys and girls.

Very well kept park! Loved the location… Quiet with beach views, then a hop-skip-and a boat ride into the city! We’ll be back. Very helpful staff and codes on amenities block which I appreciated close to the beach.

Stayed for 2 weeks and had my parents stay in a cabin and we had a powered site. Amenities are clean, regularly cleaned but usually smell like bleach. Camp kitchen is great, lots of space and hot plates, large oven etc. Free arcade games. Has a couple of paid games, TV, ping pong etc. Our site was flooded initially from the rain and then the drain was blocked for grey water. So we had to drain onto the grass which kept our site under water. Our caravan was sinking and had to jack it up out of the sludge. Management come to redirect our hoses underneath our van to ensure the site next to us wasnt getting wet even though it was aiming downward toward the road. I had mentioned repeatedly the drain was blocked and he told us to remove our privacy screen to dry it out. Even though we had constant bad weather. He seemed very concerned about "caravan park etiqute" for neighbours (who were on the other side of the site with a motorhome) - their site was absolutely not wet. There was very little concern for the actual issue of the blocked drain which was the cause of our flooded site. The stay overall was good, had a nice time, good location. Close to ferry and right on the beach. Can hear the waves and the ships coming into the port. Skate Park behind the park, there's a gate open during the day for side access. Good for the price, we paid about $39pn with NRMA membership. Cabin was clean, good location at the end of the park close to a Cafe and beach access.

Lovely park. Great location. Very clean and large site. It would be nice to have a privacy screen between site 93 and the dump point. Lovely beaches and break wall walk. We would definitely stay here again :)

Great park in a great location. This busy park has one of the best camp kitchens we’ve seen. And it’s walking distance to the ferry to Newcastle which only takes 5 mins to cross the river. There’s a lovely beach and coffee and groceries all within walking distance. We enjoyed watching the boats and tugs going in and out too. It’s the perfect place to base yourself when exploring Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.

We stayed in a villa, beds were comfortable, the kitchen good (a bit worn), the shower is accessible - the shower head a bit hard to get under especially if you are taller. I would recommend the park if you plan to stay a few days, but not for one night if you plan on travelling onwards, as its too far from the highway and the roads to get there from the highway are rough (plus there are roadworks)! We arrived after reception closed (road works delayed us), they will leave a key in the combination lock box - unfortunately the text about this didn't arrive, so we had some moments of panic, but there is a mobile to call. There is no food on-site (a daytime cafe on the edge of the park offers breakfast, coffee). Fortunately there were some takeaways still open on Mitchell st and we had fish and chips. We were driving a motorhome, we had just picked up - so no bedding etc, make sure you call ahead to check parking, as its tight.

We recently stayed on an ensuite site for our caravan, and it was fantastic. The location is what truly makes this place – right on the beach with easy access to the sand and surf. You can't beat waking up to the sound of the waves! The ensuite site was convenient and clean, and the park facilities overall were tidy and well-maintained. It was a peaceful and relaxing spot.

Extremely happy with caravan park , friendly staff, great location,large caravan sites, easy access to ferry across to Newcastle, great bike trails,C/P has a cafe. Close to beach. Amenities are clean, large camp kitchen. Would definitely recommend staying.
