Nu-Way Weiners / Northside Drive

If you’re from the area there is no need to explain about Nu-way. If you are visiting don’t miss the opportunity for an iconic experience. This location replaced the one down the street and is much larger and will spacious seating. My food was hot, fresh, and ready quickly. The staff were very friendly and kept the place clean. I will return to this location next time I’m in the area and recommend it to anyone looking for a good chili dog. 🌭

First of all, I must say the young lady Mercedes that works at the front. She’s a cashier. She has the most beautiful spirit very respectful. Every time I come in she’s working hard always have the front end clean always greet you with a smile this young lady, I can see her being a manager. She goes over and beyond for the customers each and every time I have came in she greets you with the most beautiful smile and always have the most positive energy. If it was more of Mercedes this place will be great. She deserves to be a manager or raise she makes us wanna come in every day.

I go a long way for a nuway hotdog! Our family has a tradition if anyone stops in Macon they have to pick up new hotdog for everybody else. We love their unique red hotdog. I order it just the way they intend for it to be. Just pull up and say I want a “nu way“ This location is newly renovated. And the drive-through is a great convenience! But if you wanna eat inside, you can park there’s plenty of parking

I have gone to this new location and they have NEVER… and I mean NEVER gotten my order correct, and my order isn’t difficult. It is not like I go at the really busy times. I have gone when there was no one in the drive-through and I have gone when I was one of four in the drive-through. Every time and I mean every time, I’ve placed my order at the drive-through, the lady repeats my order Back to me correctly; however, when I get my order, it is incorrect. I order the number two or the number three combo slaw dog with slaw ketchup and cheese only. No mustard, no chili no onions… And that is what I say when I order. When I get it, it always ends up with chili on it. Is very frustrating. My mother went today and literally read my text order to the lady at the window exactly like I had told her. -The number two combo with slaw dogs with slaw cheese, and ketchup only. When she brings it home to me, there are two slaw, chili cheese, onion dogs It is very sad. I don’t know what is different because when it was at his previous location, I did not have this problem. When I look at the receipt every time the receipt is entered correctly; however, the food I get is wrong. The last two times I did call and speak with the manager and she corrected it and I went back and got the correct food ; however, that is very time-consuming and frustrating and it defeats the purpose of going through the drive-through. I should not have to do this. To say I’m disappointed is putting it mildly again. This only happens at this location.

...updating my original review from 4 months ago. The food has not been as good as the first few visits. Over the last few months, the experience at this location has become more like the McDonald's on Zebulon road...grumpy and non-interactive employees, the fries have been undercooked the last 5 times I've been here, floppy and still chunky inside. The hot dog buns have been split in half when I open the foil, and the drinks are always FULL of ice, so you get like 3 sips before it's out. I'll try this one again soon, but IMO, if you want hot dogs and fries/rings, it might be worth your time to try Baconsfield or Hillcrest.

A worker name, Emandre was at the window when I pulled up he didn’t say anything at all. He didn’t ask me for my card information. He didn’t say hey nor thank you. He just reached his hand out for me to give him the card. He didn’t even give me a price he gave me my card back didn’t say anything Looked at me close the window bad customer service.

Went to this location recently. Ordered at the box and pull to the first window. Set there for 7 minutes no one came to the window. When I pulled up to the second window the young lady came and gave the car behind me my food. I had to yell out for them to come to the second window and then she asked me what was my order 😠 I like the food but I would not return to this location. I saw workers on that phone and walking around talking.

Its exactly what you expect. Local joint with 3 locations. It's like a small town hotdogs hut, but the hotdogs are in a red casing. They taste normal though. Cute historic acalade decorations adorn the walls. Decent amount of seating for the small space. Restrooms available upon request. Dessert includes a chocolate malt and an apple turnover. Large drink sizes. Not a lot of onion rings but decent amount of tater Tots (tater rounds). Breakfast until 11am. Plenty of parking, and there is a drive thru. We went inside and were served in a few minutes.
