The quality of the food is consistent. Very delicious and good-sized servings. Ordered the lunch special with the chicken skewers and the sampler for 2 people. The only thing I can think of is parking is very difficult to find because of nearby construction. So I had to park 1 block away. The Turkish coffee is tasty and they give so much for a small size.

Amazing service, cute decor, food was on point, fantastic, would definitely recommend. Had the lamb dish and cider. Such a great atmosphere and elegant vibe. Thanks for such an amazing lunch. Simon is the best 👌 💕

Google
It was my first time trying Lebanese food, so I didn’t know what to order at first. But thanks to Simon's recommendation, I enjoyed a delicious meal paired with great wine. It was a wonderful dinner! I will definitely come back here.

Google
Our food was amazing! The only downside is that their Lunch and Dinner menus are different, so we couldn’t try their famous crispy cauliflower at Lunch time! Dinner portions are probably bigger, but so is the price.

**Nuba: A Culinary Gem** Nuba is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates vibrant flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. The food is consistently yummy, with each dish offering a sharp, distinct taste that keeps you coming back for more. The flavors are well-balanced, making every bite a delightful experience. The staff adds to the experience with their friendly and attentive service, creating a warm and inviting environment. Whether you’re there for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, Nuba never disappoints. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I love coming to this place! Simon and Ola are always so welcoming and make every visit a great experience. The food is delicious, and their Chai Mezcalita is absolutely to die for! Thanks for always making us happy!

Google
One of the best places in Vancouver, This place is pretty amazing for eating sustainable, they have a great Gluten Free options as well as vegan and yes even for your meat eating friends. The server was very attentive and friendly, but not the fake type friendly. Maria rocked it. They have classy music in the background..a must stop by, one thing missing is GF bread to dip in the amazing humus.still no GF bread. Hallel was amazing

Google
Tried their food at a catered event and it was all quite light and refreshing. The presentation was nice and the quality of the food was pretty good. The flavours were decent but nothing really stood out or was something I would crave in particular. However, it was still great for nibbling and satisfying overall. The olives with pita were my favourites.

Yelp
I didn't know there was a Nuba here in the Mount Pleasant until I searched for a Nuba. And really, it has been located here for YEARS looking back at the reviews who have left tons of great reviews!! WOW!! Looks like this is the original Nuba and I finally stepped into it. And to be honest, I did enjoy the place because it was well lit for a little patio moment, and on top of that they fit my whole group of friends very well! We had like a large party of 8+ and on top of that they were very friendly with us!! The server was extremely nice and she gave us tons of advice when we were ordering, and were very useful. The bartender was positively upbeat as well! She was smiley and knew her stuff. Each of our party ordered mezze platters and they were filled to the brim with tons of Nuba staples, from a lot of skewers, to the sausages, and TONS AND TONS of the special cauliflower. WOW!! And you know, I love so much of the Najib's special I ordered myself a bowl of my own cauliflower. DON'T JUDGE ME! LOL. Anyways, I had a fantastic time here, and for sure will be back for more of their Cauliflower and maybe next time I'll dip deep into that hummus platter and come here for cocktails as well!

Yelp
Only did takeout here, but the food is SO good. The lamb kefta is perfectly seasoned and cooked, and comes with tons of veggies and sauce. The vegetarian wrap was chock full of goodness as well, with lots of falafel that weren't super dense as usual. The pita didn't *quite* hold up to all the sauce, but it was still very good. Worthwhile spot!

Yelp
Deeeelish! This Nuba location is my fave. The staff and booking person, Szymon are fab. Special mention to the crispy cauliflower, yum! The dips are outstanding. Enjoyed the potatoes! Drinks are fun and tasty, both cocktails and alcoholic beverages. Feels cozy but a good dining sized restaurant, sweet decor. All around, a great time every time at Nuba on 3rd.

Yelp
My friends raved about this restaurant so I was pretty hyped up. We ordered a share plate for two, which was very small. My friend told me that it was significantly smaller than the last time they went there. We got desserts. The mouse was ok, but the crème brûlée was yucky. The service was friendly, but scattered and she went missing for awhile. I would give this place a second chance based in my friends ravings. The items on the platter were delicious, it was just too scanty. I would not order that again. I had to have a snack when I got home afterwards. But I may try them out again sometime. The restraint itself is quite pretty.

Yelp
Ambiance and Decor: Walking into Nuba for a late work lunch, I was greeted by a bustling atmosphere that showed just how popular this spot is, even during off-peak hours. Despite the crowd, we secured a great table near a window, allowing us to enjoy the bright and well-maintained decor. The ambiance perfectly complements the vibrant and welcoming theme of the restaurant. Service Quality: With only two servers managing the entire restaurant, there was a noticeable wait before we could place our order. While we weren't in a rush, having additional staff would certainly help expedite service and improve table turnover. Nonetheless, the waitstaff were pleasant and courteous, contributing positively to the overall dining experience. Menu Variety: Nuba's menu is impressively inclusive, catering to various dietary preferences. I opted for the chicken plate, while my coworker chose the falafel plate. The variety ensures that everyone can find something appealing, whether they are meat lovers or vegetarians. Food Presentation: The presentation of our plates was appealing, with a well-arranged assortment of food. However, the plates could benefit from being slightly larger to prevent food from spilling over the edges. Despite this minor issue, the speed of service was commendable, with our meals arriving in less than 10 minutes. Food Taste and Quality: The chicken, hummus, and potatoes were delicious, living up to Nuba's reputation for flavorful dishes. However, a significant letdown was the bread. Previously known for its freshness and soft texture, the bread we received this time felt stale and hard to chew. It seemed like it was a few days old, which was disappointing. Thankfully, the creamy hummus helped soften it, making it somewhat more palatable. Portion Sizes: I found the portion sizes to be satisfying, especially for a lunch meal. My plate was perfectly sized, leaving me comfortably full without feeling overstuffed. Nuba strikes a good balance in portioning their dishes, ensuring value for the price. Price and Value: The cost for two plates came to around $45 after tax, excluding tips. While this isn't the cheapest option, the quality and portion sizes offer good value for the price. Nuba remains a solid choice for those seeking a flavorful and fulfilling meal in the Mount Pleasant area. Overall Experience and Recommendation: For a reliable and quick lunch option in Mount Pleasant, Nuba is a great choice. The friendly service, speedy food preparation, and overall enjoyable dining experience make it a worthwhile visit. Despite the issue with the bread, the rest of the meal was satisfying enough to recommend Nuba for anyone looking for a dependable lunch spot.

Yelp
Had a great lunch here, with excellent gluten-free vegan and just gluten-free options, as well as a pretty extensive mocktail menu. Had the berry mocktail that was amazing. We also ordered the cauliflower, which was fantastic, and the chicken skewers with hummus. It's bright and vaguely retro, which is fun. Service was knowledgeable, but a little slow at the busy lunch hour. Just a note that it's a little hard to find -- the sign is tucked into the entrance overhang & not easy to see. Worth looking for it, though.

Yelp
In my opinion the Mount Pleasant location is the best one out of the 4 (?). Have been quite a few times now. I don't feel gross after eating here (ingredients taste fresh, well-balanced). Flavourful. Great for sharing (i.e. would recommend coming with at least ~4 people. Recommendations: The Cauliflower is a must-try. The garlic sauce served with the chicken skewers is amazing.

Yelp
I had the lamb ribs, these were perfect and my margarita was good. My score is base only on the ribs, service and ambience. Cause the sides on the dish were irrelevant. The humus needed flavor.

Yelp
I have visited them twice over 4 years. Food is good and consistent. Enjoyed our experience a lot. Platters are generous and you get to tey a variety of dishes.

Yelp
Came for a lunch meeting on a weekday, instantly greeted and seated without a reservation. There were a few tables already in there and it felt very laidback and casual. Ordered chicken skewers and a green juice. Client ordered a lamb/beef lunch. Pros: - food is tasty and fresh, portions are just right - menu is extensive and plenty of vegan options - servers never rushed us and remained attentive throughout Notes: - parking is free one street down, one-going construction in the area makes it a little harder compared to before

Yelp
Take out. Ridiculous price $65 for what this plate is. Feeds 1 person. Used to like Nuba.

Yelp
NUBA X FIRST TABLE! We ended up going for a treat using first table to get 50% off our entire food bill and we chose nuba. First time at nuba and I'm not disappointed. * Hummus Mezze ($11.95) ~ OH SO GOOD the chickpeas were so good blended in prominent garlic, lemon and tahini seasoning. Pluus unlimited pita! Such a must have! * Najib's Special ($12.95) ~ best cauliflower ive ever had! It was so well seasoned and very crispy. The sauces with it was cherry on top as it complimented it so well! I 100% will come back for this! * Lamb hushwie ($14.95) ~ this was so good too, I was creamy and delicious, the lamb was so good with the hummus and avocado! * Halloumi cheese ($15.95) ~ JESUS never in my life have I been so in love, this was amazing and gooey and the pull was so good. The seasoning used and the sauce on top was the perfect pairing. * Spiced shatta prawns ($16.95) ~ this had a huge kick which I wasn't expecting. The kick was prominent and surprising. It was cooked nicely but the kick was too strong. * Pear & date salad ($15.95) ~ im not much for salad but this was an amazing salad, I would've ordered another one if we didn't have so much food! The pear and dates were sweet which complimented the entire salad so much 10/10 I wish they added this to the menu! * Americano ($3.50), & another cocktail (forgot price). * 9/10~ I really enjoyed the dishes here 100% will be back! The shatta prawns were a bit too powerful in the kick which overpowered the rest of the prawn flavour but otherwise everything else was amazing. * 10/10 ~100% recommend first table, not only is the portions good, its such a steal!!!! Total bill after discount $57.51 (3 people). (My bill was only $15.52, as I didn't have any drinks).

Yelp
Service here was very friendly and the interior is great. We went for dinner and enjoyed our meal but I would say the mezze plates are somewhat pricey for the amount you get. However, they have amazing lunch plates that I'd recommend!

Yelp
Full context: My girlfriend has been to Nuba over 10 times, and loved it every single time... Except for this time. Spoiler alert: her favourite part of the meal was the Ginger Beer. Ordered the Halloumi Salad, with no nuts (she has a nut allergy). After a few bites, I realized it was missing the dressing. Turns out, according to the server, they mix the nuts in with the dressing so they omitted the dressing entirely. The menu does have a comma between "dressing" and "mixed nuts" which implies they are seperate toppings, and wouldn't chopped nuts in a dressing make the nuts lose their crunch in a salad that could actually use some crunch... Anyways, the server brought out a nut free dressing after the dish was partially eaten; it would've been nice if they just did that in the first place. My partner also says the halloumi was sliced thinner than usual, and felt like portion was overall smaller. Ordered La Grand Feast for 2: - The potatoes tasted stale, like it was made yesterday, and they weren't crispy at all. Just a weird texture overall. - The fried cauliflower was limp and soggy, not crispy as well. - Chicken skewer was pretty dry. It's breast meat, so once it's overcooked, it's pretty much over. - Shrimps were alright I guess? In the sense that they tasted like shrimp. - The lamb had no semblance of pink to it... once I drenched in sauce, I was able to add back some moisture that was cooked out of it. Overall, everything here was pretty bland, especially the potatoes. I think they really try to cater to the demographic that is looking for healthy food, but even they would appreciate an adequate level of salt. After describing our experience to our server (I wasn't nearly this harsh), she just kept saying sorry and didn't offer a reason that made me want to return ever again. Granted, she was new, and she was friendly, so I didn't want to give her a hard time about it. I don't like to give negative reviews, especially after the pandemic... But Nuba has like 5 locations, and they're pretty popular for some reason. I think they'll be alright. Did I mention this was $110?!

Yelp
Heard about Nuba through a friend and when M was in town, she wanted to check it out. Didn't realize they have three other locations (Yaletown, Kitsilano and Gastown). We dropped in on a rainy Wednesday afternoon (around 1:00pm). Place was packed! The decor is cheery, colourful and the vibe is laid back. Service is good and they come back often to refill your waters. The menu is split into salads, mezze, soups, lunch plates, pitas, to share and beverages. - La feast ($39.00) - two course vegetarian mezza sampler. You get la petit feast (hummus, taboulleh, baba ghanouj and pickled cabbage), Najib's special, mjadra, falafel, eggplant stew, fattoush salad, feta, olives and pickled cabbage. Pita comes with the dips (I think it's unlimited, you just have to ask for more). Baba ghanouj had a nice smokey flavour but the hummus was missing depth. The amount of taboulleh was a joke. Not even a baby spoon's worth. The eggplant stew and Najib's special (crispy cauliflower) were my two favourites from the main spread. The cauliflower had a fantastic acidity. The falafels were decent but a bit dry; they needed to be dipped into the sauces (hot sauce, tzatziki and tahini). The mjadra (green lentils with rice, onions and jalapeño) was average and the fattoush could barely pass for a real fattoush salad. If I were to come back, I wouldn't get the sharing platter. The dishes look pretty but I've had better Mediterranean in town.

Yelp
Fantastic flavors. We had the chicken and the bison skewers. Added a dish of potatoes and a side salad. Fabulous meal!! Appreciated the GF options.

Yelp
This place is awesome. It's a bit hidden right now based on all of the construction going on, but it's a great gem in the neighborhood. I had the chicken tamook (?) entree dish with rice and potatoes and also had a halloumi appetizer with tomatoes. Both dishes were well seasoned and full of flavor. You can also add their famous cauliflower on the side for only $4. I went with my family who has a number of allergies including gluten and dairy and they were very accommodating. Overall a great experience and I'll be back.

Yelp
Food is delicious, but portions are somewhat small for the price. Would definitely recommend getting appies to go with your main dishes if you're looking for a full meal. Selection of drinks are quite diverse as well. The venue is unique, warm, and perfect for a date or family outing. They have a variety of seating options, and the tables are decently far from one another (so no awkward eavesdropping). The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the washrooms are well maintained. Paid (meter) parking out front with free parking about a block or two away (if you're lucky). Definitely check this place out!

Yelp
Came by for dinner today with a few friends and tried the "feast" which was a vegetarian lebanese dream! Their baba ganoush and hummus is first served with tabouleh and was some of the best dips i've had! Extremely smooth and creamy, this also was served with falafel, najibs (cauliflower deep fried), majadras (lentils), eggplant and fattoush salad. Everything we had was great although the marinated cabbage was a bit too pickled tasting for my liking and the najibs special was a bit salty. I absolutely adore falafel and the ones here a little bit bland in flavour when not dipped in sauce but just a dab of the green stuff and its amazing! Also ordered their chicken skewers which were served with a delicious yogurt sauce and very tender/well marinated. Had to add an extra order of falafel and najibs for good measure! Overall, great food, nice service and not too bad in terms of pricing since the pita and hummus can fill a girl up!

Yelp
Faux Mediterranean food made by hipster white people. Plate looked like it had been dressed by Martha Stewart. Food was OK, but I'll find something a bit more authentic next time I have a hankering for Mediterranean food.

Yelp
I don't know why but lately we have been craving a lot Lebanese & Mediterranean food in general. So we decide to try Nuba this time and we picked the 3rd ave location. We like mount pleasant area. We arrived sometime between 3-4 so they still have there lunch menu which I think is a good value. We order the garden falafel, really simple but great flavors and great texture. My wife ordered the chicken tawook. Which was really nice grilled, juicy and serve with a side salad olives brown rice & a really creamy hummus. I ordered the lamb Kafta, which I ordered with potatoes instead of rice (you have the option). When our platters arrived they came with a mixture of rice and potatoes. Which At the beginning i didn't complain since I like both. But my wife only wanted rice. The problem was that potatoes were inedible, over cooked and like they were seating lonely in a table for a few hours, days? A real shame since all the food there taste super fresh. I was craving a good plate of lamb and potatoes which I end up not eating. I would put 4 stars but because of the potatoes incident, i had to take half star less which en up in a 3 star review. One more thing the platters came with a side of pita bread which also was dry and nothing to remember. Over all the food was really tasty, good value, decent portions, the bill came up to $52 for two. Just water no drinks and a 20% tip included. Service is always great, at this location. We went there between 3-4 so it was pretty quiet and we got a table right away. The food: We order the 2 lunch menus and one a

Yelp
**HAPPY HOUR REVIEW** The hubs and I haven't had Lebanese food since we travelled to the Middle East, and decided it is high time we have some flavours! This location happen to be tucked a little bit inward from Main and it is rather quiet side street. On a cloudy Friday in November, we walked in at around 4:27pm and was seated immediately. The place had 2 other tables occupied at that time. Atmosphere & decor: reminds me of a Scandinavian home. Very cozy feeling. Customer service: the lady that seated us and served us was great. Very attentive and nice. The other servers that arrived for the dinner shift were not as polite - just reaching over and dropping off candles with no precursor. Our water is consistently refilled. Our server noticed our pita breads were low and immediately refilled us with warm pita for our dips. We ordered one cocktail each: Hat Trick ($8) and Dark & Stormy ($8). The drinks were unfortunately too juicy and lack a punch for us. Dark & Stormy is not dark nor stormy. The Hat Trick was better, with more flavours, but still didn't hot home. Kitchen service: we ordered at 4:32pm. - The Trio Dip ($8) - arrived at 4:37pm. The mama dip is light but flavourful. The hubs favourite is the carrot dip. One can taste the freshness of the ingredients. The only thing I would critique is I just wish the hummus is substituted with babaginoush as we have a repeat of hummus on following dishes. Comes with warm pita bread. - The Taboulleh salad ($8) - arrive at 4:53pm. Big portion salad. The flavour is a bit muted as we just ate The Trio dip, but still lovely and really fresh ingredients - The Chicken Shish Tawook ($10) - arrive at 4:54pm. The chicken is BBQ well on the outside and juicy on the inside. It comes with Toom (garlic dip) and a green spicy dip and some more hummus. The Lamb Hushwie ($10) - arrive at 4:54pm. My favourite, but be aware that the meat is a bit gamey tasting on this dish. The Lamb is grinded down and cooked to perfection, laid on the middle of the dish and surrounded by hummus. Overall, it was a lot of food and we couldn't finish it, but we had a great time reminescing our past travels and dreaming about our future.

Yelp
This neighbourhood is developing fast. So it's nice to have a laid back place like Nuba. The decor is relaxed, with window tables by actual, opening windows and planter boxes of live herbs. The menu has a nice variety of items for all tastes. My lamb pita was a nice introduction to this place - ground lamb, lots of veggies in a creamy dressing, and a little avocado. I opted out of hot sauce because I don't care for spicy. Unfortunately, that left the wrap a little bland. But I did walk away, comfortably full. I'm looking forward to trying other things on the menu.

Yelp
Got my classic Najib's Special. Arrived a little cold... not as good as usual, though I am a fan when I've had it at the restaurant. I also felt the portion was a little small compared to what I get eating in. Overall, probably won't order them through Uber eats again. Love that they have a lot of vegan options though :)

Yelp
We booked a table for 5pm at Nuba. We were a bit early so they offered us some water as we waited for our table. Nuba has a lot of options on their menu. You can choose from hot and cold mezzes (appetizers), salads, soups, entrees and desserts. Service was friendly throughout the meal but the dishes did come out slow as we were there for 90 minutes for three dishes. We tried 'Najib's special' which is fried cauliflower. It is so good! Perfectly fried and comes with tasty dipping sauces. Also tried the garden falaffel which was delicious. The entree we chose was the lamb sirloin. A good blend of spices and the meat is cooked to your liking. We asked for medium rare (it came out more on the medium side). The entree also comes with an arugula tomato salad and fingerling potatoes. All the flavours were unique and delicious and we'd definitely come back to try their other dishes.

Yelp
Nuba is so great... Regardless of the location; regardless of what you order... I've been to multiple locations multiple times and have always enjoyed myself. On my most recent visit, I wanted to avoid eating bread products and was pleasantly surprised. When I mentioned that I didn't want any pita bread, our waitress asked if we'd like lettuce instead. How nice to be offered this! My partner and I split the halloumi dish, which is delicious with its tomato, walnuts, mint, and sauce drizzle. I chose the chicken tawook and enjoyed this in the lettuce wraps. At first it seemed a smaller portion than I'd had in the past, but I did not leave hungry. My partner went for the lentil soup, which is puréed and spices to perfection; and accompanied this with a chicken skewer for a little more protein. We shared a carafe of their desert hills wine and had a great time. We will definitely be back to this Mt. Pleasant location as well as their others. Update: returned to Nuba recently and was quite surprised by the significant increase in their wine prices. $17 for 9oz glass and $36 for a carafe--that used to cost $28. No thank you! I still very much enjoy the food, but can't justify going there regularly with the $$ of wine.

Yelp
Lunch. Lots of gluten-less options. The lunch plates are delicious and come with rice or potatoes. The food is constant across all locations. Menu: I ordered the eggplant stew with a side of potatoes. The portion of stew was rather small but it was tasty. I ordered the Chicken Tawook the previous time I ate here. That was also very good and filling. The hot sauce is amazing and isn't too hot. I always order without garlic sauce and without hummus due to my allergies. Venue: Easy to get to and very close to Main street. The decor is very casual. Try not to site close to the door on a cold day since it can be very breezy. Service: The staff was very friendly and very attentive.

Yelp
It was my first time at this restaurant. My friend and I went on a Monday and before 6pm. The food was ok....a bit bland for my liking but that's not the issue I am complaining about here. It was the servers that made me feel very rushed. We just felt hounded by the servers! So there were 3 servers and as soon as we sat down, literally every minute one of them was approaching us to ask if we had decided what we were going to order! As I mentioned it was our first time so we were trying to figure out what we would like. From the minute we got there, each server would come and ask us, leave then the next one and the next one! This continued throughout the hour we were there from asking if we had decided to taking away any empty dishes from the table the second we were done which might not be a bad idea most of the time but this made me feel they want you out of there asap so they can seat someone else. Btw, no one was waiting. We asked for the desert menu but didn't end up ordering because the same was happening within minutes of us getting the menu. Then we got the bill, the server just watched us instead of giving us space while we were taking out our money to pay.

Yelp
had brunch there (Mt Pleasant) on April 28th. Nice, quiet area, metered and free parking along 3rd ave. I had the chicken tawook in a rolled pita, absolutely delicious and more than enough for brunch. Service was excellent, we sat in the back in a little alcove, very nice ambiance. Now I want to go back and try many more items on the menu - garden falafel, Najib's special and many more on the menu.

Yelp
Extremely popular with parvenus and the callow. Little more than overhyped stodge trumpeted by Vancouver's automatons. In some countries, you can buy readymade meals (M&S) that are more sophisticated and taste far better. The service was a scandal. We were seated at the window, then once comfortable, we were ushered to another table by the kitchen, with only a perfunctory explanation being given. As I made a survey of the menu, I noted our waitress "tidying" another table: she flicked the crumbs off the table's surface with her fingers, and the few dirty bits that remained were skillfully and deliberately hidden under napkins. Classy. Another woman approached us to take our order. Her skirt was so high that one could glimpse her private parts. Due to the confined space, I had this woman's thingy far too close for comfort. Classy. As we waited for our food, it soon became apparent that all of the other diners were trying to talk over everyone else. This initiated a volume feedback loop that became so burdensome that not only could I not hear my partner's voice, my ears were beginning to sting. Classy. I've tried the Nuba at Mount Pleasant, and the one in Gastown several times. Both locations yielded abysmal experiences.

Yelp
In town visiting and my pal decided to take me to Nuba for dinner. What an incredible choice. Let's start off with the service. On their website, it indicates that they do not take reservations. So we weren't sure if we would be able to get a table when we arrived. When we arrived, there was a very small line but the hostess indicated our wait would be less than five minutes. When a table became ready, we were seated beside a table beside the window where there is a planter box filled with live growing fresh herbs. The rest of the decor is light, airy and simple. Let's talk food tho. Okay, so their mezzes are outstanding. This is obviously the type of place you want to go with someone and share everything. So for two people, I might suggest anywhere between 4-6 plates, all depending on your hunger. Dishes range in price from $9-$18 and also there are several V and GF options. Two of my stand out dishes from the entire night were the Lamb Hushwie (sautéed lamb with onions, peppers, pine nuts and spices served over hummus with avocado) and the Najib's Special (crispy cauliflower tossed with lemon and sea salt, served with tahini). Service was attentive, friendly and on-point. Totally lived up to all my expectations and more.

Yelp
If there could be half stars, I'd give 3.5. Came here on a siblings dinner because this was on the oldest's list of restaurants to try. - Chicken Shish Tawook: this was alright, not super memorable. I ended up taking the chicken off the skewers and putting some hummus, avocado, and chicken in the complimentary pita basket haha. - Najib's (aka the cauliflower): it was quite salty, which was a bit unexpected, but after the initially salty shock, it was alright. - Stuffed eggplant: I appreciated the walnuts, which gave some amount of texture in each bite. Though I've never had a walnut and eggplant combination before, so that was interesting. - Beef bavette: such tender beef! Definitely the best part of the meal. The layered potato was nice as well. Perhaps our tastes aren't as familiar to Lebanese type food, so we all thought that dinner today was ok, though the beef was definitely the stand out. It was still nice to try Nuba and expand my pallet, while my sister ticked another restaurant off her list.

Yelp
We had many friends around us who kept raving about Nuba so we had to come and try it for ourselves. We came to Nuba on a weeknight and it was fairly busy, but we managed to find a seat for 2 with no wait. Our friends recommended us to try the "La Feast (for 2)" share plate thus we ordered it with no hesitation. We were served the hummus, taboulleh, baba ghanooj and homemade pickles first. From this dish, we very much enjoyed the baba ghanooj and the taboulleh. The next dish included the crispy cauliflower, falafel, mjadra, vegan stew, salad, feta and olives. The cauliflower was definitely the standout, as the crispiness paired with its seasoning was very mouthwatering. It left us wanting more. The falafels were okay but the sauces it came with were much tastier, especially the green one. The rest of this dish was not bad, just nothing to really speak on. The service was very good; our waitress was friendly and helpful. We feel the prices and portions here are decent because we definitely left full.

Yelp
This was my first time at this location and it fits right into the neighborhood. As opposed to the gastown location which feels a bit more intimate, this space is bright and casual. The food is pretty well the same. You can't go wrong with any of the mezzes. Everyone loves the Najibs special so you must order that. All dips are delicious. The pita couldve be softer and warmer based on my last visit. But otherwise it's always tasty and unpretentious food that pleases everyone from the vegan to the meat eater!

Yelp
I've been to Nuba a few times before and have really enjoyed the food. Unfortunately after ordering take out tonight I'm less than thrilled. I stopped by to grab something to go, and they had a daily mezze special that sounded good (grape leaves which I love) so I ordered that thinking it would be similar to their other mezze platters which come with a few yummy sides and are usually good portions. What I got was 6 tiny grape leave rolls with their yogurt sauce. Suuuuuuuper small portion, more like a really small appetizer than a meal, and it was $9!! Really disappointed that I spent so much on such a small meal... Service was really great and getting the food was quick. Still a fan of the place but disappointed in this experience.

Yelp
A little vegan stew/pinot grigio lunch action always does good things for the soul. I'm epically disappointed in myself that I didn't know of this Cafe Nuba. I've been into the one downtown but Main & 3rd - you've been holding out on me! Excellent location for this little Main St sweetheart to lunch date it up. The vegan stew was excellent and just the right amount for lunch fullness without a "roll me out of here" finish. The salad that accompanied it was also fresh and crisp, even after I mistakenly dumped my hot sauce all over it (every, freakin, time). Well priced wine, quiet atmosphere, easy parking - service was polite and quick. Nothing special but nothing wrong with it either. Cafe Nuba, it may have taken me too long to find you, but i'll see you again soon!

Yelp
The service is lovely. The food is okay. We recently went and my friend is celiac, we ordered a couple of dishes listed "GF" including their hummus. The hummus comes with pita but as it's listed as "GF" we assumed it was gluten-free pita....nope. His stomach was in terrible pain all night leading into his work day. I do encourage the staff to ask folks if there are allergies and to note if any of the dishes ordered have said allergen.

Yelp
I love love love this place. I could eat the Najib's Lunch special EVERY SINGLE DAY. No joke. Also, the hummus is super yummy. Recently I tried some new things here for a food challenge I did. Check it out here: http://annareacts.com/2015/09/10/culinary30-prawns-with-anna/

Yelp
Stopped in for a mid week lunch. Chairs were exceptionally uncomfortable and room was very noisy but.... food was very tasty. We wanted to sample a variety of menu items. Unfortunately the server wasn't able to make recommendations or advise us on what to order so we had some repetition. The portions were adequate, except for the tabouli. The houmus is better at another middle eastern restaurant but Nubas' falafel was fantastic. The service was attentive and efficient.

Yelp
My favourite dish has to be the Najib's Special (Crispy cauliflower tossed with lemon and sea salt)!

Yelp
Was here on a Saturday am (11:30am). It wasn't really busy yet, we were able to pick where we wanted to sit. Their ingredients are Organic, Local, and Sustainable including the meats and had lots of vegetarian/vegan options. Service- 5/5- their manager Vadim was amazingly helpful and kind. Provided excellent service, better than some of the posh 5 star restaurants. Food- 4/5 Atmosphere- 5/5 After we were seated, Vadim came over immediately and helped us out with our menu choices and recommended their Turkish coffee +3.25 that I have never tried. In one word: AMAZING COFFEE. In fact, the best coffee I have ever had. They use cardamom infused Arabica coffee and they add rose water and a bit of sugar when they boil the coffee. If you like the Lavender Latte from Medina Cafe, I think you would really love this coffee. We ordered one for the both of us because it comes in a small pot. SIMPLY AMAZING. We ordered: - Najib's Special (Shared Appy) Crispy cauliflower tossed with lemon and sea salt, served with tahini [Vegan+Gluten Free] +7.5 -Chicken Tawook (Lunch Plate) Grilled Mount Lehman chicken breast marinated in paprika, thyme, lemon and garlic confit with hummus [Gluten Free] +12.5 It was served with hummus, salad, pickled cabbage, olives, & roasted potatoes or brown rice with tahini and hot sauce and pita on the side. The dishes we ordered were flavorful and I felt good eating it knowing that it was organic. One thing that I wasn't crazy about was the fact that Crispy cauliflower was fried. Even though it tasted great, the fact that it was deep fried and a bit mushy (and not crunchy) inside didn't please me. I wouldn't order it again. I like my vegetables non deep fried and crunchy. We also appreciated that Vadim brought us a free sample plate (2 pieces) of their home made Falafel to try and it was very fresh, flavorful and crunchy. Overall, I loved their Moroccan inspired modern décor, attentive, accommodating service and great value dishes made with organic ingredients. We will definitely return back soon.

Yelp
My partner and I had dinner at the Mount Pleasant location this evening. The food was, as always incredible. We have eaten at all Nuba locations on multiple locations. The service, however, was terrible. We arrived, and stood at the entrance unacknowledged for several minutes. We were finally greeted, and were told to have a seat and we would be seated within a few minutes. 20 minutes pass, with zero acknowledgement from anyone, and the servers busy helping other tables. There were plenty of open tables they could have sat us at. Finally, an additional server arrived on shift, and I approached her and told her we had been waiting an unreasonably long time for a table and were currently brainstorming alternate dinner options. She said she would seat us right away, and she did. Service was speedy from them on, but there was no apology or acknowledgement of the wait.

Yelp
This is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver! This location is in my neighbourhood and is fast becoming one of my go-to's for delicious lunch/dinner meeting. Come hungry! Portions are pretty amazing :) The staff are sweethearts and the food is always awesome. My recommendations are Najibs Special - amazing cauliflower that's zesty and cooked perfectly. I also love their Fattoush Salad, topped with toasted pita. Mmmm.. YUM!

Yelp
First impression was a significant lineup of customers at the front door of this restaurant, meaning this has to be a very good spot. There are some great Lebanese delicacies certainly mixed with western fusion and simple presentation here, at a reasonable price. Loved the Turkish coffee, good location and the service was fantastic. Servers go above expectation to explain everything to customers about their food!!! Definitely try, however I do not see myself coming back desperately anytime soon.

Yelp
This is a great new location for Nuba... To be out of downtown and on the east side and 1/2 blk off main st. The new room is bright with easy street parking and I think a bit of a different menu.... The great tasting quality food is as good as the rest of the locations, its nice to see a small hole in the wall restaurant expand they way they have over the last 18 months, i hope its not to fast.
