We spent 3 nights in this Bed and Breakfast place. It was best value lodging and around 20-25 min walk into old town historic center. There is no private parking, and we needed to make sure that we didn’t park in a resident with permit required. Although it is on a busy street, our room was quiet and comfortable. It is a self-checkin process where we were given an entry code to the apartment and a separate code to our room. The room was small though it has a little “hall” that had a table that has coffee maker with instant coffee and teas. The breakfast area has a nice, comfortable lounge. It has a refrigerator where we can put our food & drinks. The complimentary breakfast is continental style with pastries, fruits, yogurts, bread, & condiments. The best part of breakfast is the cappuccino maker. I am prediabetic and it would have been good to have either cold meats or hard boiled eggs for breakfast. The staff and the owner were friendly. The facilities were clean and the front yard was well kept. It is walking distance to restaurants and a pub. There is also a gas station nearby though we didn’t need to go. Overall, we enjoyed our first time staying in Cardiff and recommend this place.

Great property, very clean, breakfast and shared lounge were excellent. Microwave and fridge available for all guests. Easy access with key fob and excellent communication from hosts before and during stay. TV with lots of good streaming options. Only complaint was the mattress on the double bed in my room was very uncomfortable, but luckily there was a single bed that was fine to sleep on. The area is transitional, and as a female solo traveller that did give me pause about walking to/from the place after dark, but I didn’t experience any problems. Lots of bus stops nearby to get you anywhere you need to go in Cardiff. Petrol station with shop right across the road.

A lovely, quaint Bed and Breakfast. Super clean and good location. The only reason I won't give the full 5 stars was because I found the beds quite uncomfortable. We had a triple room, but felt the room itself was quite small to have 3 beds in there. However, I would definitely stay again and I know my friends would.

I stayed here for a night the owner was super friendly and accommodating. The room was lovely and the facilities great. |Would stay again especially for the price. |The bed was comfy and the free biscuits and tea and coffee was lovely. Very private for the stayer with key safe lock.

Great location, room decorated to a high standard, comfortable bed. Really strong plug in the hallway that is incredibly off putting and can be smelled in the room, despite a closed door and both windows open. Not even olbas oil covered it up. For anyone sensitive to smells this is difficult and unpleasant. This means although I've given four stars, I couldn't stay again. Those with sensitive noses beware. To the owner: the smell is so strong, not even turning it off overnight and opening the windows addressed the issue.

A real find. The rates may be budget but the place certainly isn't. Full of character and in a very convenient location with lots of free parking on the nearby roads. Lovely communal kitchen/diner/lounge area where you can keep your own food and drinks. I always stay here when I am in Cardiff.

Yelp
One of the newer B&B's in town this a more like a boutique hotel I suppose. Its all been recently renovated and they have done a really good job. I rang them to book a place for my parents and from that first interaction the service was very good. They made sure there was a parking space for them when they arrived and showed them around the beautiful old house. There's a sitting room and honesty bar if you ever get bored of your room. They opted to pay extra for cooked breakfast and really enjoyed it. Loses the 5th star because its a bit out of the city centre which meant taxi rides.

Yelp
What an absolute find! If you ever find yourself in Cardiff (which my partner assures me is now a lot different and nicer than it was in the past), you HAVE to stay here. Forget the chintzy chains or the high class hotels that just treat you like a number, you become one of the family instantly. This terrace house was recently renovated into a boutique 7 room hotel. The rooms are well appointed, with free wifi, a TV and a DVD player. There's even an ipod dock / speaker for your Apple music goons. The beds were definitely comfy, and the linen fresh. The only thing I'd say was that the pillows were a bit too thick for my liking and gave me a bit of a neck crick the next day. (I usually sleep with relatively thin pillows though, and so at least maybe having that option would have been nice). Anyway, Helen greets you at the door (no matter what time of day you come - we were the last guests for the day) with the greatest smile and a gigantic dollop of Cardiff charm. We were knackered from a day of walking in the Brecon Beacons and were promptly shown how all the amenities in our room worked. The showers were great and everything looked new and well cleaned. The breakfast was continental, and while it would have been nice to have a fully cooked option included in the price (it costs £5 more and you have to order it the evening before), but a brief chat with Helen makes you understand why. She's passionate about the business and treating guests like family. This boutique hotel gives you great value for money, and a top notch level of service - although almost - just almost bordering on it being too much. Helen also knows the Cardiff area well and can be a great source of information for your travels in Cardiff. Parking is available and reservable in the rear of the house and the back room is well stocked with things to entertain you. I'd recommend Room 2 because of it's little veranda outside for you to sit in (when it's not pouring out like it was when we were there). Definitely will return and be a part of the history of Hotel One Hundred.

Yelp
I much prefer staying in old buildings to new, paper-thin walled boring big boxy places, as long as it doesn't break my bank. It can break his anytime ;) Hotel One Hundred is ideal in this respect. It is a small family-run cheap hotel offering luxury city centre B&B accommodation. Last year the family lovingly restored this 1890's Victorian Townhouse into a 7 bedroom, fully ensuite boutique hotel that is perfect for an intimate weekend in Cardiff. As well as plenty of personality, each bedroom has an LCD TV with built-in DVD player, and beautifully made beds with crisp white linen and fluffy towels. Want some action outside of the bedroom? - oe-er - the hotel also lounge and dining room is equippedoffers guests use of a lounge with a large flat screen TV and DVD player, music, and a small pre-dinner bar. On finer evenings their decked terrace is perfect for an pre-dinner drink. A plentiful continental breakfast is included in your stay and they offer a cooked option for £5 per person. Non-smokers amongst you will be happy to hear that the hotel is 100% smoke free. Those still liking their nicotine would do wise to book elsewhere.
