My fiancé and I ate here in Sept, 2010. So why am I posting now? Because in Nov, 2024 he will have been gone 14 years. He passed away from kidney cancer. Our trip to Boston, up the coast of NH, and into Kennebunkport, ME, took us to Nunan's. One of the last great photos I have of him is in his lobster bib at Nunan's getting ready to eat his 1 1/2 lb. lobster and corn-on-the-cob! This was after finishing a delicious bowl of lobster bisque. The man whose appetite had been zapped by chemo was eating like there was no tomorrow! We savored every butter-drenched bite of fresh, succulent lobster. I can't begin to tell you how content and happy he looked! The ambiance of Nunan's with its rustic appeal, lobster traps, and down home feeling, was exactly what we were looking for! We didn't want fancy. We wanted fresh and delicious which is exactly what we got! Our service was, as he used to say, "Par excellence!" After dinner we drove down to take a photo of us across the bay from the Bush compound. That was the last photo of us together. We headed back to Boston and departed for FL the next day. Yes, we have FL lobster, but our lobster tails are nothing like Maine lobster! I hope to someday make a memory trip back to New England and eat at Nunan's in loving memory of my fiancé who changed my life and was taken from me way too early at 55. Nunan's, thank you for being such a special part of our trip, and for being such a fond memory for me.
