Nusa Indah’s Covetable Custom Surfboards Bring Art to the Ocean | Vogue

"A surfboard atelier founded by Jada McNeil alongside a couple of expert craftsmen, this studio designs and manufactures bespoke boards you won’t find in any run-of-the-mill surf shop. Set against postcard-perfect coastal surroundings in New South Wales, its head-turning patterns draw from McNeil’s immediate environment and travels abroad; she pulls color combinations from seashells and patterned tiles in crumbling walls, finds shapes in architecture and art, and even studies how shadows fall—capturing moments on her camera to fold back into the designs." - Zachary Weiss

Our stay was quite average overall. There were no standout moments or highlights that made the experience memorable. The room was clean and basic, though the beds were quite firm. One concern was the safe—it was very lightweight and not secured to anything, which didn’t feel very reassuring.||Breakfast was on the modest side, but enjoying it on the beach with our feet in the sand was a lovely touch. Unfortunately, the atmosphere in the restaurant was less enjoyable. Music played extremely loudly during the day, and staff were unwilling to lower the volume, which discouraged us from spending time on the hotel’s lounge chairs. In the evenings, the music remained loud, and the lighting in the restaurant was overly bright and lacked any ambiance.||Next time, I’ll likely choose a different hotel, as this one didn’t offer anything particularly memorable.

I stayed here with my family and it was amazing! Rooms were nice and comfortable. Nice, friendly staff and beautiful food. It’s right on the beach and perfect for swimming and relaxing. Highly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay at Nusa Indah. The staff were amazing and friendly. The rooms were very clean and well maintained everyday. Breakfast from 7.30 however very basic brekky, but does the job. Massages cheap, less than $20 Australian and worth every penny. We had one every single day. Hired a scooter through hotel. Very cheap. Pool facilities good, clean and tidy. Wouldn't say there's much there for people with younger kids. Cafe is on the sand and walks out onto beach area to bean bags etc. You can also access other restaurants along the beach etc. Amazing spot for sunset and cheap cocktails and unwind after a big day. The staff seem to have contacts everywhere for surf trip pick ups, pick ups and drop offs and day trips for island hops, snorkelling and adventures. Excellent base to travel to Nusa Cenanigan, the yellow bridge etc....just a great location and not far from anything with scooter really. Wouldn't recommend balcony room if you have trouble with stairs. The steps are quite steep to get up and down. Its is a trek from the village road with luggage. About 2 or 3 mins walk but our taxi drivers always helped......that confusing little walk to the water front is worth it ten fold!!!!! Loved our stay at the island and highly recommend!!!!

This venue is great but be warned it's extremely family friendly. Have no issue with kids, but there were so many and up at 6 in the morning. The pool is quite small, so there is no quiet section and wasn't much fun with so many kids. For me the chlorine was quite strong. The breakfast selection has good variety and has some healthy options. Tea, coffee, juice is available from 7 and you order one item from the menu at 7.15. Room 110 is next to the lane way into the hotel and also the massage spa so if you have a day in the hotel you will people coming and going and the music from the massage place.

We enjoyed our stay here. The pool is great and there are tables and chairs and beanbags on the beach. The rooms are quite basic but comfortable. We had rooms 109 and 110 which were bigger than others. The shower area is huge! Comfortable bed! It is very close to the beach and street restaurants- just walk up the laneway to the street. A tip- They do not supply hairdryers. I asked for one and they found me one! We will be back!

This accommodation is terrible. The rooms were dirty, the towels were disgusting, the staff were not helpful and to top it off they overcharged all of us with no admission that they did. I would not recommend it ever.
