The room didn’t offer a great sea view, but that don’t really matter everything else about this place was nice. Can’t really say why it was brilliant but it is my favourite spot during my trip. The pizza place is really good but the main restaurant is a little salty for my taste.

Love this lodging - it was off season and I was one of the only guests. The staff treated me like royalty. The village is charming - the rooms are modern, clean and the beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Would not stay anywhere else in Lofoten!

We are from North Carolina, USA, and this was our first time above the Arctic Circle. We did a lot of research and kept coming back to Nusfjord Arctic Resort. And now we know why. Everything at this place was as described in our research, only better!!||We stayed in a Harbour Cabin Suite (#36). The cabin was spotless, very comfortable and cozy, charmingly appointed and nicely stocked with coffee and mini bar. We stayed six days and, while it was cold and rainy, it was always toasty warm inside. We learned so much about what life was like for the fishermen during the fishing days in the late 1800’s. To be sure, we were far more comfortable and pampered in these cabins than they were! But you could feel the history in the air.||The spa, hot tub and sauna were a wonderful treat, especially in the cold weather. Breakfast and dinner were delicious! My favorite was the Lofotlam (lamb)!!! And we had the best hot chocolate with cream at the Kafe each afternoon. All the staff were very generous, thoughtful and cheerful with help, information and general conversation.||Staying here was truly a unique, authentic and very special experience!

The village is very beautiful situated in the Fjord. The cabins are very comfortable and cosy. I love the interior which is a mix of traditional fisherman's style with modern Nordic design, giving a luxurious feel. The people are very kind and the food was delicious, both breakfast and dinner at Karoline's restaurant and also the pizza in Oriana Kro was very good, with surprising tastes, different from the ordinary. I would certainly recommend this place. Also the sauna and hot tub give a great experience, even if it rains. I recommend to take a short walk just behind the village, there is a beautiful lake with waterfalls from the mountains.

A charming resort comprising renovated fisherman's cottages, 3 superb eateries and a fantastic location. The cottages and spa are located around a smallish harbor with fishing boats, a top notch restaurant for world class dinners and a pizzeria that serves superb food. A bakery completes the resort with fresh baked breads, sandwiches for hikes and pastries to start your day. However, I recommend the breakfast in the restaurant to start your day. You may never leave.

We really enjoyed our stay at Nusfjord and hope we get to come back someday. I don't think we've ever stayed somewhere as charming or peaceful. The location is in the middle of nowhere - but that is what makes the place so special. It's good for exploring the southern part of Lofoton; it took us 1:45 to Svolvaer for our sea eagle safari. The harbor makes this place and keeps the weather calmer than if we were more exposed. ||The staff were very friendly, helpful and hospitable. They went above and beyond when our bag did not make it onto the plane to Leknes and they retrieved it for us when it arrived. ||We did the sea kayaking excursion with Eduardo and he and the activity were both wonderful - it one of the most beautiful things we've ever done. He brought frozen herring in case he spotted a sea eagle (we didn't that day) and took pictures of the two of us in action. They provide dry suits which kept us comfortable for the ~2 hour duration of the activity. ||We stayed in one of the suite cabins right on the harbor (with the docks) and we recommend one of those rooms as it's a very short walk to the restaurants/general store. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean; it is a "cabin" but seemed newly built or just pristinely renovated. Nespresso machine and mini fridge with beverages in the room. ||You don't have to walk far away from the village (or just to the highpoint above the harbor) to get a good view of the northern lights away from light pollution. ||We ate at the pizza restaurant 3 out of the 4 nights because the gluten free crust was delicious and it was a very cozy setting.

We only did a day visit here so can't comment on the Nusfjord Rssort as a place to stay. We visited by car in February and stayed for around 2 hours and had a coffee and cake in the cafe. The village itself was not nearly as quaint or picturesque as I had imagined. Due to the large number of tourists it felt quite commercial. Naive perhaps, but not what I was expecting. It also felt somewhat run down, maybe due to it being mid-winter but it just felt a little forgotten. There is very little to do apart from seek out a few insta style photos. The cafe was awful. There was very little selection of food and the service was marred by a lot of visitors queuing the wrong way and the staff taking too long to address it, despite being asked. There was also a large group who kept adding people to their order as they arrived, making what should have been several people ordering into about 15. This wiped out what we were waiting for and felt quite unfair. Generally a bad experience. There is an outcrop above the village that people clearly walk to but the paths are unmarked and difficult. They should either upgrade the paths and make it easier or seal it off, doing neither felt unprofessional and left us wondering if we were meant to walk there. Unless you're passing right by or plan to stay, I would seek better, less popular places to visit.

Wonderful stay in rorbu! Fantastic large cabin and view on the harbour, parking just next to the cabin, excellent breakfast and dinner and the amazing experience of the nordic lights during our stay! |Also available free of charge for guests sauna and hot tub (the access to the tub however is a bit difficult).
