I came in with an open mind trying to see after all this time what this was all about and knowing it would be expensive. We ended up paying 2000 AED for two which in itself is not a problem at all but neither the food nor the service or the experience were on par...
1. Everything in this place unfortunately makes you believe that this is not a high end location: plastic ketchup bottle on the tables, toilets with empty hand wash, pepper mill of very little quality, squirting balsamic vinegar from a plastic bottle,
2. We were very badly advised into over ordering. I understand you are instructed to make the client spend as much as possible but we felt that we were treated as consumers rather than clients in a high end location. Many of the waiters felt inexperienced and you could see them dropping food on the floor at other tables, with someone else coming to broom behind (the restaurant was not at full capacity at all so no "rush")
3. At last, the food itself was good. Nothing to say, but I do think that for the price, there is an inexplicable gap in quality. I do not doubt that the meat are top quality, yet they did not feel extraordinary, nor in the flavour nor in the mastery of the cooking itself. I genuinely you can mind a better strip loin by going to LPM or Zuma next door which do not specialise at all in this, and for a cheaper price. Little to no creativity in the menu. The sides were good but not amazing.
Plus: the meat sushis were amazing (but 250 for 4 bites), extra star for this
A very disappointing experience unfortunately, I do not recommend
