NUSTAR Resort & Casino

Well...it certainly deserves it's 5🌟 rating. STAFF (and I mean ALL staff, from the Managers to the Cleaners) ....incredibly helpful and always welcoming with a huge smile. 🤵🏽‍♂️🤵🏽‍♀️😁 FOOD was exceptional no matter which Restaurant (there are MANY) you pick. Big shout out to Room Service too..... timely, polite, orders arrive HOT, good portions and delicious 🤤🤤🤤 The buffet breakfast will set you up for the day, MASSIVE selections to choose from. 👨🏽‍🍳🥐🥞🍳🥓🧀🧆🫕☕🍜🫕🧇🥥🍉🥭🍌🍍🍈🍊🫐🍄‍🟫 ROOMS We had the Premium King Ocean view.....STUNNING. Pod coffee maker, bar fridge, bottled water, large screen interactive TV, large wardrobe with iron & board, huge marble bathroom with exceptional walk-in shower and seperate oversized bath, toilet with latest electronics and bidet, full range of toiletries, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the channel between Cebu and Cordova islands. Night time view is amazing. 🌃 POOLS 🏊🏽‍♂️3 on the "Mountain" side, 4 on the "Ocean" side. Spa & Sauna. SPA ROOM staffed for massage and facials etc. 💆🏽‍♂️ Fully equipped Gym with trainers. 🏋🏽‍♂️ CASINO. 🎰🎲 SHOPPING MALL shopping 🛍️ 🎁💎🏪 For the price this Hotel is an absolute stand out. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 WELL WORTH your $ to stay here. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION

This is my 3rd time staying at the hotel, the previous two visits were pleasant. The 3rd time was disappointing in terms of the room. I was at Nustar room 1711 I entered and on the left foot side of the room had a very stick slippery liquish i dont know what it is. The carpet had crumbs of food stuck to it. Floor was dirty, tables had som sticky slimpy liquid to it. Not cleaned at all. Like someone just changed the bedsheets the the rest are left the same from the previous guest. Just disgusting for a luxury hotel. The Airconditioning the room was extremely cold no matter how i tried and called for help to fix it. I end up just turning it off when its too cold and turn it on when its too hot. Its always fixed at 16 which is ridiculously cold. I am just so disappointed because this used to be my top 3 good hotel the city.

Overall we had a mediocre experience in most aspects! The Nustar Resort claims to be 5 Star but it is not! The complex is a big construction site, your „city view“ room is actually a construction view. The Nustar Resort itself has no facilities, their small pool is under construction, no restaurant, no club lounge, you have to use the facilities of the sister Fili Resort, a 4 star place next door mainly frequented by people visiting the huge casino. Breakfast at the Fili Cafe was mediocre, overrun with people, they were out of glasses, poor staff, long waiting times for a coffee, huge buffet but mostly poor food quality and messy overall. It has the atmosphere of a university canteen. Larger pool behind the hotel was surrounded by uglyness, construction site, generators, back of the house, the small pool facing the ocean is pretty worn down, only few sun beds, the infinity edge of the pool was framed by ugly plastic plants, more construction and ugly port view … Fili‘s club lounge also with zero atmosphere, short service hours, very limited food and drink for the afternoon tea, poor breakfast service, out of juice, out of cups etc….the evening service was ok, the mixed drinks were actually good. The room was ok, decent, what you would expect for the price, not more not less, our toilet broke so we had to change rooms. Butler service non existance, staff overall rather clueless, slow and inefficient. Unless you are coming for the gambling, don‘t book the Nustar Resort, it does not live up to its 5 star promise at all, it should have been the „grand finale of our Philippine trip but ended up being one of the most disappointing and annoying hotel experiences ever.

Our stay at NUSTAR was truly unforgettable. The view from our room on the 18th floor was stunning, and celebrating the 24th here made it even more meaningful. The room was luxurious and cozy, and the casino added fun to our night. Highly recommended for couples looking for a special getaway. 🌟

We had a memorable stay at Nustar Resort! The reception area was adequate and check in was quuck. We were then billeted to our room which had a great view!!! The room was spacious with ample natural light which livened up my mood! Waking up to the Cebu City view on one side and the sea on the other side was a good start of the day. My children loved swimming in their pool and spending time in the bathtub 😁 Everything was clean and service was impeccable! Thanks to our butler who made sure we truly enjoyed our stay! Breakfast was at Fili, the puto maya and sikwate was lovely! Hope they open their own restaurant. I bet that would make the experience more memorable! The staff were very friendly and accommodating! We will definitely come back!

spacious and well maintained rooms and facilities. Comfortable bed and on the whole very good service. Check in was a little slow and like most 5 star hotels in phillipines there is a luggage scanner at the entrance and noone to help .. seems once your through that things tend to improve. Breakfast is in three locations and of them all i think the cafe over on the fiji side was the best as it had the biggest selection. Its also a bit busy and noisy so best to sit outside or eat in lobby breakfast area if you are there on business or a couples retreat. View from the rooms are spectacular, i stayed in the standard room and a suite during my stay and both were very good. Probably the only criticism was the hot water being not hot enough and as its a centralised system if you get up late you end up with no hot water if its really busy. I belive management are already looking into solving this problem long term, so no points off for jsut busy and hitting peak water. Mitchel the head butler has done a great job training his team and i found all of them really good at resolving issues or helping out when needed. overall very happy and would stay again.

Stayed in Fili hotel and visited a number of the restaurants and of course the casino. Rooms are very nice with amazing views. Restaurants get very busy but food is lovely. Casino is huge and has a lots of games to choose from, even opened a craps table past year which is great.

The rooms here are very clean, the service is professional and staff is friendly, and it is connected to a mall. Furthermore, the location is next to the ocean which is very nice and you can walk to another mall which is not to far (along the ocean). There is also another mall called SM, which is not too far but a taxi is necessary to get there. Overall, I think it is worth staying to see what you think. I believe you won't be disappointed.
