An absolutely stunning place! The views are incredible, everything is so beautiful. There’s a sauna, kayaks, and the food is insanely delicious. Great prices and generous portions. The staff are amazing, and the cabins are fantastic. We initially booked for two nights but ended up coming back for another two nights because we just couldn’t get enough. The whole experience felt like being in a childhood summer camp or a treehouse getaway. The atmosphere was perfect—no swarms of mosquitoes or other insects. We only spotted an owl, enjoyed the endlessly starry skies, the breathtaking jungle, and the incredible river. We had the most wonderful weekend in this magical place. Thank u so much for everything you do. Love!

We were well-prepared thanks to Walter’s email and came by boat, very convenient! Yes there are many steps to get to the restaurant but so what? The view is worth it. The huts are basic but that’s all you need and sound of the crickets and geckos at night is so pleasant. Very friendly staff and nothing was a problem to arrange! Thanks for everything, we reallt enjoyed this experience!

No idea why all these reviews are so good. We had booked for three days but didn’t even spend a single night there and canceled immediately. The room was dirty, and the accommodation was extremely hard to reach. The descriptions on Booking didn’t match the reality at all. There’s no Wi-Fi anywhere—neither in the room nor in the restaurant or reception, which are 200–300 meters away. The owner is creepy and very suspicious. For Storno he tried to do unprofessional deals. Keep distance!

We just came for the restaurant. Food was okay, not a ton of flavour but the views were incredible!! Prices for kayaking seemed quite steep per person so we avoided that, but a nice place to relax if you’re in the area

Place is beautiful and was a nice break from beach destinations. Staff was very helpful with planning activities. Rooms were a bit weak with very small beds and insects (although they cleaned the room again when we mentioned this). Massages were really good! And drinks were also a highlight

There are many great things about NutsHuts but it just wasn’t the place for me. The scenery is beautiful and the gardens surrounding the Huts are lovely plus you are right on the river. The views from the restaurant are stunning. For me there were several things that would have made my stay better but these may not bother others at all. - there was no hot water in the huts and a warm/ hot shower would have been good - we were in a deluxe double hut that was divided into two rooms by a VERY thin wall so you could hear everything being said and done in the other room - there was no WiFi which meant I ate into my data trying to make plans for places to visit - the surface of the 800m access road to NutsHuts was poor which meant normal taxis would not go down it. If you arrived before 5pm then you could travel by boat which was lovely but if you arrived later than 5pm you could not get the boat so I found the road a barrier to coming and going with ease - there were several steps which was ok for me but my husband had a previous knee injury so struggled with the steps - the bathroom in our hut had a lot of dark hairs in the plug on the floor which could easily be improved with a decent clean - I understand that no one wants a blockage of the loo waste pipes but I didn’t want to have to put even the fragile toilet paper into a separate bin during visit as it could not just be flushed down the toilet The NutsHuts is beautiful and relaxing but sadly just not for me.

After travelling around the Philippines for two weeks I was not expecting a seemingly simple hotel in the middle of a random island to be the highlight of my trip: it’s nested in the middle of the jungle, the huts are very authentic and the food and service are really really good - it felt like going back to my parents house after being away for a long time: good homemade meals served quick (and the caipirinhas are to die for) I’d love my time there and I won’t hesitate to stay there again

Such a magical stay at nuts huts. If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway in amongst the most beautiful scenery this is the place to be. The huts are basic but so cute and exactly what we were expecting having looked at the photos. The view from the main house was incredible and we really enjoyed playing with the little kittens as well as the variety of board games to choose from! We also really appreciated the warm and kind welcome from the owner Walter who has run the place for 25 years!!! Be prepared for lots of steps so maybe not the most accessible place if walking is difficult but if not I highly recommend. We rented a scooter for the day which was easy to organise at nuts huts and from there were able to explore Bohol.
