Nutting Winter Sports Complex at Oglebay

SUPREME winter gem for the Ohio Valley! One ski slope with varied paths and terrain including moguls and jumps. Reasonable full and half-day lift tickets and affordable ski and snowboard lessons with experienced local instructors. Cafe on site has good beer selection and even "Smores Kits" for the outdoor campfire. <3 I successfully went from novice to intermediate skier through practice and lessons on this slope and it's right here in Wheeling. Note in advance, there is no "bunny slope" here, the slope is at least a novice slope. So happy to discover this!!

We are very disappointed and upset. We called on Saturday to check to make sure the skiing would be open Sunday and the guy said they were open weather permitting so I called at 9 am on Sunday while it was raining to make sure they were still open and the lady said yes. It was 2 pm and I called again before we drove 2 1/2 hours to get here and it stopped raining at 4 pm. It’s 450 and now they are closed when it’s not raining. It makes absolutely no sense. Now we are waisting 5 hours of our anniversary vacation to drive back and forth for no reason.

The first time for family skiing. Perfect for novices, but not beginners. No bunny hills. And there was next to nothing available at the snack counter.

Worst name ever.
