NY Slice Pizza Big Bay

This New York slice joint is a real find! The atmosphere is always buzzing with good vibes thanks to the super friendly staff – they genuinely make the place feel welcoming. And the pizza? Seriously delicious. That sourdough crust is a game-changer – it's always fresh, hot, and has that perfect sourdough tang. Whether I'm grabbing a slice in person or ordering online (which is super quick, by the way!), the quality is consistent. My go-to is their big 50cm pizza with pepperoni (I call it the Big Kahuna!) – it’s a proper, foldable NY slice loaded with flavor. I drove to Bloubergstrand yesterday morning and ordered a pizza from I love NY Slice Pizza Big Bay. The pizza was so oily and the few pieces of meat were swimming in it and the dough was still raw in the center. It was really not pleasant to eat, and later that evening at home, I was terribly sick. The area inside behind the counter where they assemble the pizza and take meat out of the plastic boxes/containers was very dirty. The outside tables were in a terrible state of dirty. Empty boxes on the table and flies everywhere. It was so unpleasant to try and sit and eat at the table, cleaning the chairs and table top myself to the best of my ability. It was one of the most unpleasant experiences of eating at a restaurant. The morning of trying to relax, looking at the sea, eating some food, just down the drain. I am very sorry, but would not be able to recommend this place to anyone.

My best friend and I went for a relaxed intimate atmosphere. She enjoyed her delicious slice of pizza. I discovered a hair in my food and had to wait for a replacement of one slice after 17 clients received service. I sat and waited and just enjoyed the happy faces.Next time, please also treat me with the same respect you treat the regulars. We used to go on our monthly date as girls. But this one was our first bad service. 27/12/24.

This specific branch is so bad, they short all the toppings even when I added on extra toppings. There is also no cheese on the pizzas, they really don’t know how to make it well. The staff also really stare at you do no reason and aren’t very friendly. This was so disappointing as I was really craving this pizza. Next time I’m going back to the branch in Woodstock on Victoria Rd. Their pizza is actually tastes great. Unlike this one, such a disappointment!

I would give it zero! All agreed, even the kids that the simple Margherita pizza had an odd fishy taste. Hope this helps you run your business with correct food protocol. All reckoning it was from the sauce. Tx Nicky

My boyfriend and I came to the beach yesterday, and we went to this establishment. And to be honest it was the best New York Slice experience I've ever had! The people who work at this specific place are super friendly and it was nice for a change. I do recommend that even if you want to check out a restaurant you haven't tried before, there is nothing wrong with sticking with a good place you know with quality. Thank you so much for this experience.

New York slice pizza team really impressed me with a vast knowledge and pizza and the amazing quality test of the pizza, and very friendly service I will definitely be back here again.
