An awesome huge garden in the Bronx, You find hidden trails, museum,
Theatre, water brooks, cascades, trees, herb gardens, rose gardens rock garden, a huge planetarium. A children garden and learning center. Special events all year round.
There is a great cafe with pastries, soups, and sandwiches. A must stop, the shop, gifts/plants/books/stationery, etc., the shop is endless. You go in to browse but guarantee you will make a purchase.
They have parking, and when full, you can park in Fordham University across the garden. I love this garden!!!
I recommend avoiding traffic and taking the metro north train. It leaves you across the garden. Another option is taking the subway, but you need to transfer to a bus. it's more hectic.
I need to mention they have at certain times a trolley, and it stops all over the garden. The garden is wheel chair accessible. They have a few wheel chairs available but on a first come basis. The staff are friendly and informative and always ready to help. Gosh, this review turned long lol, I am just always excited to visit never a dull moment.
