NYBG Shop

I wish I had more time to explore the entire Garden but made sure to visit the Van Gogh Florals Exhibit and the Conservatory. The Conservatory smelled so fresh and clean like herbs and spices. It's very peaceful and a good way to enjoy nature's natural beauty. Visiting gave me a sense of more value to life and appreciate the outdoors more.

Great selection! This place is so much bigger than it looks. Fun garden items. Loved the substantial book section. So many outdoor and house plants. Loved the selection of pots. Picked up a few bulbs to plant - wish they came from the NYBG - but what a nice momento from our visit to the garden!

An amazing shop with tons of orchids, seeds, plants, plant goods, plant themed goods such as paintings, clothing, decorative items, jewellery and a lot more. Prices are pretty decent with seeds around 4-5 dollars, orchids around 20-30 etc. Garden members get a 10% discount and they pack all items really well. It is also located close to the main entrance parking.

Beautiful, amazing, peaceful, incredible, place to visit. Each season in this park has its own beauty. I love it mostly during spring and fall. Highly recommend to all New Yorkers and visitors of NYC.

An awesome huge garden in the Bronx, You find hidden trails, museum, Theatre, water brooks, cascades, trees, herb gardens, rose gardens rock garden, a huge planetarium. A children garden and learning center. Special events all year round. There is a great cafe with pastries, soups, and sandwiches. A must stop, the shop, gifts/plants/books/stationery, etc., the shop is endless. You go in to browse but guarantee you will make a purchase. They have parking, and when full, you can park in Fordham University across the garden. I love this garden!!! I recommend avoiding traffic and taking the metro north train. It leaves you across the garden. Another option is taking the subway, but you need to transfer to a bus. it's more hectic. I need to mention they have at certain times a trolley, and it stops all over the garden. The garden is wheel chair accessible. They have a few wheel chairs available but on a first come basis. The staff are friendly and informative and always ready to help. Gosh, this review turned long lol, I am just always excited to visit never a dull moment.

Beautiful grounds! Very friendly staff. Well kept and something for everyone. A great place to picnic as well. It's so serene and peaceful and fragrant - There's great forest with a path to walk. It's super cool to explore.

There is never a season that doesnt delight! The Orchids are the usual a glorious treat. Feast your eyes on the colors textures and patterns of nature. Take in the rich aroma of the blossoms and RELAX!....and thats just in the shop!

I adore this gift shop. It’s a beautiful boutique for all things green. Herbs and exotic plants, soil, books, seeds, organic soaps and perfumes, spices and oils, trendy eco trinkets, and much much more…all arranged meticulously with love and care. I recently purchased 2 magnificent Bonsai trees (along with several other plants) as I trust this store to provide quality horticulture at a decent price. Ashley and Natasha were beyond helpful and made sure that I went home with the plants I wanted. All of the staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. I truly appreciate this gem of a shop.

Can't go to the garden without stopping by the shop. They do such a great job with their displays. Right now they have Christmas trees and ornaments. There is a book section, a perfume and lotion section, kids toys, and plentyof NYBG merchandise. You can buy bulbs and seeds inside the shop. The live plant section has winter bushes and holiday arrangements. Staff has always been friendly and helpful when I've had questions. Most items are priced on the higher side, but there are affordable trinkets if you're looking for souvenirs. This evening they had stations outside of the shop for hot chocolate and cookie decorating. On the other side of the park they have the Holiday Train Show. It's a beautiful time for a visit.

I was so impressed with the NYBG shop! Especially compared to other museum/ souvenir shops, this store was very well curated. They have a large selection of plants, planters, gardening equipment, and plant themed art and items. Most things are high quality and genuinely nice - as opposed to a bunch of stress balls and mugs stamped with the NYBG logo. There was also a large book selection, mostly with art books and plant books. They also had themed office supplies, journals, candles, and a little bit of apparel. We visited NYBG for the Yayoi Kusama exhibition, and they had a section of the store specifically for Kusama items. They had a great Kusama book collection, along with other limited edition / moderately priced souvenirs. I wish they had a little more selection with the Kusama swag, but I was happy to get some polka dot socks and t shirt. The NYBG shop was a highlight of the gardens and I'll definitely be stopping in each time I visit! PS - NYBG members get 10% off!

I wish this place was better at customer service and follow-up... After visiting NYBG for Kusama and Holiday Train show, the NYBG shop is a logical place to shop. With a great selection, I would strongly suggest that you double-check everything that gets scanned and discounts properly applied. We asked the staff to apply our membership discount, and it was not applied. We emailed later twice, with no response to rectify this situation. Unfortunately, a well-known non-profit such as NYBG can have a horrible customer service event after a member allows the organization to fix the situation. Feel free to message me directly if there is still a way to fix it, even though no one has replied to our email. We will avoid the NYBG shop in the future.

I bought a few things in the store on a recent visit to the Orchid Exhibition in the Conservatory. I then purchased three items on line, paid for the goods and when they arrived, the packing slip clearly stated 3 items were packed - when in fact, only two were in the box. I do not need to scam the store for a hand cream......I have emailed the customer "service" and receive no response. All I need to know is, was this an error, is the item on back order and earmarked for a later delivery, or does someone else now have the pleasure of using my hand cream? No customer service whatsoever, and I will not shop there again.

You have to pay to shop here $20 for parking. I was told to sweet talk the guard to tried to shop for free. I'm good there's amazon.

My visit to this place was a pleasant one. They have very cute stationary there. I like the plants too. They make great gifts to someone. Great place to buy gifts for people. Not expensive like other places. I highly recommend this place. Employees are nice and made this a good experience.

This has become my favorite shop since the first one I went in. They have everything from perfumes, lotions, candles, jams, teas and the best raw honey!! You will NOT regret going to the New York Botanical Gardens gift shop!! Prices are moderate.
