Nye Beach Cottages

Great spot for a romantic get away. The top 2 floors have an expansive view of the waves crashing on the beach. Enjoyed putting the gas fireplace on, and sitting at the sliding window looking at the ocean. Great sunset views as well. The infinity hot tub is awesome, and very popular.

Not the best experience. Our on line reservation and confirmation number were not honored at check in. It became apparent that this facility will not accept or honor any rates or confirmations, unless made with them directly. Since we were already there, we proceeded to our rental, the Captain's cottage. As for the cottage itself, the heater in the main bathroom did not work. The heat throughout the cabin was barely adequate, even when cranked up. The blankets on the beds were not adequate for winter. The kitchen had no dishwasher soap. The kitchen had no dish rag or sponge.|Only one bathroom had a soap bar. We expected better.

The captain's quarters at Nye Beach were a cute place to stay, and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. |My family had a wonderful two days there, amidst some of the worst weather of the year. The location is awesome, with a short walk to the beach, the hot tub, a cafe, and lots of shops.

We stayed in unit 6. It has a good view, however, everything in the apartment is the cheapest quality possible. The blinds were broken and dirty. Mold on the window sills and small bits of trash from previous guests. If the upstairs unit is occupied the loud stomping is unnerving. I was very disappointed in the quality as Inn at Nye Beach is a very nice hotel.

The captains quarters were perfect for our family. Having access to the beach right from the cottage was perfect. Full kitchen. Two bathrooms was great. Only thing I would add would be beach towels and salt/pepper/some kind of cooking oil. Definitely will be back.

We rented condo 301 and found it just OK for the price. It needs updating but the view of the ocean was really great. We were told that the condos are quite varied in their maintenance since they are individually owned. This one looked slightly neglected although it was clean. It had everything we needed but most of the pots and so forth were pretty well used.

We have stayed at this place once before and loved it. At that time we stayed in condo 305. When I made my reservations I asked for condo 305, but they gave us condo 301, it was the difference between night and day. Not one piece of furniture in the living was comfortable, which made watching and listening to the ocean uncomfortable, 1970s hard furniture!! The bed was very tiny, I think it was a twin, whereas in condo 305 it was a nice big king bed with warm cozy blankets. Both kitchens were fully furnished with appliances. I will not be going back to this place, I'm sorry to say. We were both very disappointed.|

We stayed in a cabin separate from hotel. It was so beautiful, had amazing views and had anything you would need (plates, cups, silverware, Netflix, hulu) making this a Great Value! Only bummer is if you stay in the cabins you aren't offered breakfast like the hotel guests.... I didn't know this until we called for breakfast.

This place was probably the worst travel experience we have ever had. Please keep in mind this review is for Cottage #6 - The Lighthouse Lookout Cottage. The following items comprise the negatives regarding Cottage #6: 1) Online advertisement was very misleading; the ad stated there was a balcony. There were not even any chairs or any place to even sit on the outside lawn. 2) There was no stove/oven. The ad said there was a "full" kitchen so we planned to cook a few nights. We couldn't do that without a stove/oven so we threw out all the fresh fish we had bought. What a waste! 3) The corkscrew in the cottage had an old cork in it and it was covered in hair. Why would I open my wine with that? Ugh! We went out and bought another one at Walgreens. 4) No bureau in a very tiny bedroom - left all clothes in a suitcase. 5) You have to pay to access the beach or nearby firepit ($15/day) because the cheap owner of this cottage will not pay for it. But, he'll gladly take over $400/night for this horrible shack. We paid almost $1700 for four nights over Labor Day weekend and we regretted it the moment we booked it. It was very overpriced for what we got even over a holiday. Factor in you have to eat out every night. 6) Not even an extra roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. No sheets, blankets, or pillows for the sofa bed. Old and damaged end tables in the bedroom. 7) The mattress in the bedroom was old and very uncomfortable. We both had a hard time sleeping and woke up every day with backaches. 8) One of the worse things not revealed in the ad is that there is another cottage directly above you. The first guests smoked and the smoke came down to our cottage. Plus the second guests arrived at 1:30 am waking us up with all of their noise and watch out if they have kids. The kids will run back and forth all day and there's not much you can do about it other than leave the cottage. The kids also peer right into your windows trying to look inside. 9) An oceanfront view was not worth four nights of terrible discomfort at $1700. We will never recommend this cottage (#6 Lighthouse Lookout Cottage). As I said earlier, it was the worst travel experience we have ever had. Do NOT rent this cottage for all of the reasons I mentioned. Also, don't walk barefoot in here - your feet will be black. The carpets and floors were filthy. 10) Go to The Landing at Newport. The Landing is 1000x better than Nye Beach Condos and Cottages. Just look it up and see all of the true amenities you can have. We wanted to go there but they were sold out. We settled on Cottage #6 and it was a big mistake we will not soon forget.

Beautiful balcony views of ocean. Be aware no elevator so be prepared to lug your bags up flights of stairs. Highly recommend
