Nye Beach

Solid beach, beautiful sand, wide open spaces. Watched a couple let there dog take a giant crap on the beach, and just walk away from it. As foul as it gets folks. Great place to fly a kite! Watched the local wizard working 3.

A great place to go to cool down in Newport Oregon. Lots of kites are flown here and it is a really beautiful spot!

Beautiful and relaxing beach, perfect for a night walk on the beach. When there isn’t a fire ban, great place to build a beach fire and easy access to get on the beach from the parking lot.

I always stay in this historic district in Newport for the nice beach to walk on, the amazing sunrises over the ocean, and the great variety of places to eat in. The area is home to the Visual Arts Center, the Performing Arts Center, and a number of galleries. You can access the beach at Davis Park and at the Nye Beach Turnaround with parking at both places. The area was the first resort area of Newport and has a small village feel to it with hotels, shops, restaurants, and a number of other services. A great place to stay in Newport with a long beach to walk on, art galleries to browse in, bakeries to grab a sweet treat, beautiful sunsets and sunrises over a endless horizon.

Beautiful beach! Lots of restaurants and shops in the area where you don't really have to walk too far to.

Absolutely a must visit place. Its beautiful and pristine. Great place to spend a day with family and friends. Adequate parking space available. Lots of food options nearby.

Beautiful beach, peaceful and vibrant. Overlooking at the lighthouse. Gorgeous old town, so many boutique shops, coffee and bakery stores, chowder restaurants, souvenirs and more. We had such a good time walking around the beach town while enjoying BJ s ice cream, chowder bowl soup, and treats from the bake shops. There are parking lots by the beach and street parking around the town. Everyone we met in town was very friendly. Truly enjoyed our time here.

Visit here if you love wide sand beaches and what seems like endless walking along lapping waves. Try to come an hour before the lowest tide. Maximize the time where the water is calm and so shallow even for small pups to run and splash in. Oregon beautiful.

The beach here is accessible and there's free parking. The view is great and you can walk for miles in either direction. If you time it right, you'll find tide pools in the rocks just south of the entrance to the beach.

One of the best beaches on the Oregon coast. Parking lot that is small but on a sunny day in September there were a couple open spots. Clean beach. Perfect sand. You don't have to walk far to hang out in the perfect spot. Clean restrooms that are well stocked. A faucet to clean off your feet after the fun is over.

It doesn't get better than this...since I was hit by a car, walking in sand has been very hard for me. The older I get, the worse it gets. I saw an article about the walking mats for those who are disabled, but I was surprised to see it on Nye Beach. This mat makes it possible for me to use the beach with ease. Thank you for such a friendly thing that allows me to enjoy what I love much longer!

Convenient parking and no fees of any kind. Al sleepy beach town but nearby eateries and lodging available. Easy beach access with rinse off area. However, I prefer the view from Davis Park if you are not planning to walk on the shore.

KITE flyers heaven Great BIG sandy beach. Lovely shops and restaurants in area. Newport is such cool city.....feels progressive and welcoming.

What a fun area - something for everyone really. I like how nestled the streets are towards the beach - it is such a perfect little beach town with really neat little shops and restaurants. It also seems to be kept very clean and the streets and beach are easy to walk around - not too many hills and such so all fitness levels can traverse. There are some great galleries throughout. We cannot wait to visit again.

Not bad. The "poop" water was off putting but the seals were cute. Water and experience was just beautiful. Would love a return sometime.

Nye Beach is okay for a quick beach stop. The parking is limited on the weekends and street parking is difficult. Lots of small cafes in the surrounding area to eat or drink at. The beach is clean

For a very long time now there has been a septic problem underneath the large parking lot with the septic washing out too sea .They tried fixing it once repaved the parking lot and just two weeks ago posted signs nobody can walk on the beach .Total insanity ! Hopefully this will get fixed PERMANENTLY SOMEDAY .

Very pretty beach along a very picturesque historic part of Newport. Just a couple blocks off a bigger road, so we walked over on the sidewalks and had a great time playing in the sand. We'd definitely come back here again.

We love going to this beach. Great public parking, water stations, pet friendly (they even have stations that provide poop bags if needed), and the beach is nice to be on. There are great restaurants and shops nearby as well. Great place to vacation, or just go for the day.

Has two small parking lots that are free to park in. The walk to the beach has a paved ramp from the road to the sand, so that's good if you're handicapped. The beach is flat with a lot of seagulls. There is a stream running to the ocean, but it's untreated sewage water that a sign says is not safe to play in. There is a foot washing station nearby which is nice. A few blocks away is Coast Park which has a long tube slide and other fun things for kids to play on.

Beautiful white sand beach. Great for families, friends, pets, etc. Got some great sunset photos!

Clean, cute shops and galleries on the way down, easy walk to the ocean, and a foot washing station. Would definitely go back.
