Nyne Hotels Lake Lodge - Colombo

We stayed here for 5 days and had a lovely experience in Sri Lanka and at this hotel. We have written a longer review on TripAdvisor, but loved the quiet but convenient location of the hotel. The staff were so helpful, friendly and efficient. Food was excellent and nothing was any trouble for the staff. A thoroughly enjoyable time ...thank you. Julie and Ian

We have just returned from a trip that included a stay at Nyne Lake Lodge. The staff were wonderful. The food was amazing. We were able to leave bags for a couple of nights when we went down to Galle. The rooms were a good size and clean. Its a small boutique hotel, 1w rooms... but had a lovely feel. Whilst there isn't a pool, we were told you could always go and use one of the nearby hotels as a guest. Would highly recommend.

We spent one night at Nyne Hotels Lake Lodge, Colombo and had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was calm and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing break. The location is really convenient; we visited Gangaramaya Temple early in the morning, which was a beautiful experience, and in the evening, we enjoyed a lovely walk to Colombo City Centre. There are so many great places to explore in Colombo at night, and this hotel was the perfect base. We also had a delicious, high-quality breakfast in the morning. Would definitely love to visit again!

Sadly we didn't get to spend very long here, but the room was lovely, clean & plenty big enough. Great location, so we went shopping & didn't have dinner there. Staff welcomed us & got us to our room & explained things. Lovely place to stay.

The Lake Lodge is a fantastic place to stay, the rooms are extremely comfortable and well appointed and the staff are excellent, very helpful and very friendly.||The on site restaurant is exceptional (Table at Nyne is also bookable by non-residents and we saw a number of non-residents dining here) and they clearly have a chef and kitchen staff that are way beyond what you might normally expect in an onsite restaurant, the menu is very well priced and very broad and the quality of the food is just amazing. Breakfast is included and comprises a fruit platter, toast, fresh juice, coffee/tea and a choice from a menu (which ranges from pancakes to full english!). The restaurant waiting staff are also very, very good and reinforce what a great dining experience is to be had here. In addition to the restaurant there is a bar area where you can just chill with a drink.||This is not a big hotel (I'd classify it as a boutique hotel), which suited us perfectly, and it is tucked away from the general Colombo mania, but everything in and around Colombo (and beyond) is easily accessible from the hotel and the staff are only too happy to help organise anything you might want to do (which for us included a visit to the Elephant orphanage in Pinnawala and a Colombo city tour by tuk tuk). The accommodation itself is of a very high standard with large bedroom (king size bed) and large en-suite washroom, free wi-fi, cable TV and coffee/team making. Fresh mineral water is provided daily (or as often as you request it) and there is a (hidden) fridge in the room so anything can be kept chilled (though the in-room aircon will do that too!).||This was our first visit to Sri Lanka and we would love to come back, we would definitely stay at the Lake Lodge again because it really helped to make the stay memorable and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Colombo.

This is a little oasis in the heart of bustling Colombo. The noise of traffic fades into birds chirping when you go up the drive into the hotel front. The rooms are very comfortable but the real delight for us was the food in the restaurant. I have eaten the same in many restaurants in England but the eggs Benedict and beef shortrib in the Lake Lodge were pretty hard to beat. Next time in Colombo, its worth making the trip to this place just for the food, if not a night's stay.

Simply excellent and beautiful higher end lodge in the center of Colombo. Experienced and friendly personnel, great rooms and bathrooms, small scale, super nice food, and decorated in a very fancy and styilish way. Top boutique hotel!

This was the best hotel we had in days. It is in the heart of Colombo but it is very quiet . It’s like a green oases, clean, nice, and elegant. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff wonderful and helpful. I think this is the best place to start or end your trip in Sri Lanka or to just feel at home if you traveled a few months.
