Honoring Harriet Tubman’s 200th Birthday in New York’s Finger Lakes
"Visit to gain a deep appreciation for Harriet Tubman's achievements through maps and interactive displays on key 19th and 20th-century thinkers and activists."
I actually visited twice when I was in Auburn - to me it was very interesting. If you love history, this is a great place to learn about a lot of it right here in New York State. I thought it was moving and factual, some parts were interactive, there was a shop where you could buy items from the area. It seemed like a little museum to me and I was impressed with it.

My history class from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) visited this location while we were touring Central New York as part of a week-long research trip. The wealth of information available, the interactive exhibits, and the aesthetic details here were all a feast for the eyes, ears, and mind. You will not regret a visit here, folks!

Loved our visit! Took a step into U.S. History and equal rights that started right in NYS. What a nice little stop (for free!) with self guided learning centers.

This is a great place for events, but there is a lot of wasted space inside the event center, doesn't seem like they planned it out very well.

Anytime I have a visitor, we go to check out the exhibits. Staff is always knowledgeable & kind. Highly recommend stopping in on Saturday mornings during the summer for the vendor market, as well

What a quaint center to display the historical relevance of civil rights and NY heritage for all people. Plan your visit!

Nice local center dedicated to the New Yorkers who struggled and advocated for equal treatment under the law. It was a bit media heavy for my personal taste. However, I understand that this center is targeted to a slightly younger demographic. Still, there is a lot to look at and learn. If you are in Auburn for the Harriet Tubman House and the Seaward Museum this center is a great modern bookend after viewing the legacy of those two national giants.
