On the Grid : Södermalm

"Already in 1288 Södermalm was mentioned as " Suthraemalm " and during the industrialization in the end of the 1800th century, this part of Stockholm mainly was the home of the working class. Now it has turned into Stockholm's trendiest area characterized by creative and trendy atmosphere! Especially in SoFo with a lots of small shops with vintage, Swedish fashion, galleries and designer shops. Around Nytorget you will find many popular bars, cafes and restaurants, and both Nytorget and Hornstull has become a natural meeting point for Stockholm hipsters!" - Hyperakt

I was glad that I visited stockholm during a sunny weekend. This square was so lively!! It was full of people sitting and enjoying the sun and also sumbathing. If you visit Stockholm during sunny days it is worth a visit. Just sit and relax in the sun as the time goes by, a pretty chill way of enjoying the Swedish life.

Nice vibes, very comfy during the summer!

Nice playground, lot of shops amd restaurants near by.

Jan Ö.

Google
The most trendy area in the South part of Stockholm with a big collection of small but attractive shops and bars as well as restaurants. In the summer the park is full with sun bathers and families playing.

Google
Beautiful and peaceful place in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Stockholm. Ideal for everyone, from families with babies to elderly people enjoying a sunbath. Would totally recommend it !

Google
Nice place to bring the kids to play in the park. Also in the summer people can enjoy the sun and have lunch or pic-nic. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Lots of places to eat and catch another aspect of Swedish culture and watch the world go by. We enjoyed eating and drinking at the Brickyard

The best playground for children I know, there's a dog park really close by and you can sit and have a picnic by the parks fountain during the summer ☀️

Yelp
This is a super cute place and our waiter was absolutely amazing! The food was decent and the concepts were there. Only disappointment was that in a lot of the other dishes (not pictured) the meat was a bit dry including their signature chicken and steak. Grilled lamb 9/10 : My meat was a little dry but still very yummy and well seasoned. The side sauce/butter complimented the meat very well and was delicious. And the potatoes were heavenly with just enough crunch with a buttery softness. And the tomatoes added an acidic bite that cut into the richness quite well. Swedish meatballs: 11/10 the best in Sweden that we tried on our trip! Homemade and super tender with a delicious sauce and lingonberries. Panna Cotta 10/10 : This is my favorite dessert and it was made really well here. The peaches were fresh and the Panna cotta was light and not too sweet. I'm not a big fan of the crumble but it tastes really well especially the sorbet which was just divine. Tip: Might need a recommendation, but walk in for small groups might be doable as well

Yelp
Pricing wasn't bad but the restaurant is pretty cute and big enough to hold about 40-50 people. Everyone is friendly, food was great and it's right on the corner where you can find it. Very casual, and it can be a romantic spot as well. It's not really right where it's a busy spot which is good. Got the ham/eggs and veal meatballs and everything was amazing! Give this spot a try. Super friendly and great food.

Yelp
Cute brunch place next to the park. We sat outside cause it was a nice, warm day. I ordered the "öjebyröra", which is crayfish, buttered toast, and fish eggs. Large amount of crayfish but also lots of mayo. Fish eggs add a subtle popping texture and salty balance to the otherwise creamy, buttery dish. Dish is fairly small yet satisfying since it's packed with seafood. Novel dish that I would recommend getting. You don't ever see this at brunch places in the states.

Yelp
Nytorget 6 is kvarterets chameleon. If you're just grabbing a drink (or 4), or looking to have brunch, or having a date night, or looking for a classy lunch spot.... this spot hits the head on the nail 100/100 times. I have zero negative things to say about this place. They allow dogs, it's in the coziest area of all of Södermalm, it's one of the best restaurants to sit outside to dine, the personnel is top notch and the food is excellent. Above it all, this place made me love sweetbreads. (Google sweetbreads if you don't know what it is... you'll understand the significance of this occurrence) Chow down.

Yelp
Nytorget 6 served me a poorly heated serving of Swedish meatballs. What should have been an amazing sendup of what's regarded to be a national dish was the epitome of anticappointment. Some parts of the meatballs were warm. Other parts were cold. Most of it was lukewarm. I suspect it was microwaved. I didn't want to be the ugly American and complain - despite fellow Swedish diners who saw I wasn't happy and urged me to say something. But I was starved. So I finished them. But the Swedes persisted, saying they were embarrassed that a restaurant as good as Nytorget 6 would serve a mediocre product. I finally spoke out. The waitress apologized, saying she wished I spoke up. I told her I didn't want to fan any prevailing anti-American attitudes. She said that was nonsense and offered me a new round. I told her I couldn't: I'm trying stay slim and the meatballs were supposed to be a cheat treat. She came back and gave me the bill. Granted, I thought the chef should have come out with a mea culpa and offered me a chance to try again, but that's just me.

Yelp
In short; good food for value, depending on dish. I had the Iberico Secreto. I really liked the kimchi sauce and the flavor of the meat - it gave me some flashbacks to my Japan trip last fall. Good mix of sweetness and grill. The yoghurt was alright but I enjoyed the dish without it (another of my friends liked it another though). I also tried the 'Grillad fransk gårdskyckling' unfortunately it didn't taste so much. The blood pudding (Lantlig blodpudding) is a good alternative for someone wanting to try out traditional swedish food. A friend had the egg benedict - said it was good but a bit too expensive for a few eggs. On my first visit I had the Tuna burger which is also worth a try. Enjoy!

Yelp
Nytorget 6 is located in the trendy district with the same name. I visited this bistro for a Sunday lunch with two of my beloved friends. We sought after a rather tranquil place where one could have a couple of beers, chat and enjoy good food. In retrospect, we were pleased with our choice. The decor of this place is smart and elegant and the service was led by smiles and diligent attention during our visit. Besides, instantly when stepping inside the door I recognized that this restaurant had the same warm vibe as Nybrogatan 38 - which is one of my favorite places in town. This is not strange though as they are operated by the same owners. Only by looking at the menu or the lovely breadbasket one can see this. Their affordable menu is extensive which makes it slightly problematic to choose what to order, especially for me that want everything. Some of the dishes are classics while others are following current culinary trends. Additionally, they have left space for a few exciting and unusual dishes such as smoked reindeer heart, deep fried rooster wings or the almost-forgotten blood pudding. This menu is undeniably a trigger for me in order to return.

Yelp
Nytorget 6 in Södermalm is a modern restaurant with great service, a good wine list and excellent, interesting dishes. Staying in Söder for two days, it seemed like a good idea to head to a local restaurant for dinner. Nytorget 6 seemed like a good option to me. The place looks modern, yet also somewhat classy, it somehow has its own character. The background music was an entertaining selection of nineties hits with songs like All Star by Smash Mouth, bringing back fun memories from school. Nytorget 6 was pretty busy on that evening and I was lucky to get a place without a booking or a long wait. The wine list was kind of impressive, I especially liked the white wines on the menu. I would say, it would be worth going back just for a nice glass of wine alone. My meal started with various mini bread loaves and tasty butter. One bread was a bit spicy, another one was with cumin or so and then there was a hard, thin flat bread. Following the bread, I had deep fried feta cheese with lemon and mint. A great combination of flavours, looking beautiful and tasting refreshing. As you do when visiting Sweden, my first dinner in Stockholm had to be meatballs. As far as meatballs go, this was quite a fancy dish, if you ask me. Having olive oil and balsamic vinegar in the centre of the mashed potatoes was a funny idea, and surprisingly, it worked for me. Of course, the meatballs came complete with delicious lingonberries and a nice cream sauce. The meatballs themselves were also a bit different, as the meat was mixed with various herbs, probably wild garlic or something similar. It was a very tasty plate of food. And as much as I like IKEA meatballs, what Nytorget 6 put together was on a whole different level of deliciousness. After the pretty heavy main, I looked for a light dessert and the Swedish cheese cake sounded good. The flavour was very nice and the raspberry added much needed colour and sharpness, but I did not really like the rice pudding-like texture. After three courses, I left Nytorget 6 full and satisfied. The place has a great, vibrant atmosphere, staff are relaxed and friendly, and the food is top-notch.

Yelp
Silly Americans. We HAD to have Swedish meatballs, and this was the only place open. Meatballs - for the people (same owners???) was closed was we opted for here. I felt empty paying 170 Swedish krona ($20 US Dollars) for ~5 meatballs and mashed potatoes, but it's Sweden; the conversion is not in our favor. The meal (meatballs, mashed potatoes, lingonberry, and fresh pickles) itself was well made. The service was great, the bread was aplenty. Shrug, I'd definitely come back and try other things on the menu if I ever happen to find myself in Stockholm. P.S. The bathroom smells funnay.

Helen L.

Yelp
This has been one of my all time favorite meals. We had originally wanted to go to sister restaurant, Meatballs for the People, but they were on vacation until August 2. Luckily, Nytorget 6 had the meatballs we had been so eagerly wanting to try. After a mishap with street names, we found ourselves at the restaurant (it's actually pretty easy: Nytorgsgatan turns into Nytorget). We walked in and the place was full of locals and charm. The complimentary brown bread was dense, slightly sweet and absolutely delectable. The flatbread was pretty great too. After walking for miles on end, we devoured the first basket and asked for another round. So good! We also ordered the chili cheese, which were these sizable gooey balls of cheese with a wee bit of a kick. The meatballs with mashed potatoes and gravy- holy shnikes were amazing! I kept the lingonberry sauce to just nosh on throughout the meal. Also got the kimchi pork bao which was alright- definitely the least impressive out of the showstoppers. The entrecôte steak was phenomenal and came with haricots verts, roasted tomato and fries with aioli- mouthwatering perfection. The meat was juicy and neither under cooked, nor overcooked. Lagom. Check this place out for traditional Swedish and overall delicious food, you'll be very happy you did.

Yelp
it must be the european culture of getting paid well such that customer service takes a back seat. was looking forward to a final meal in stockholm tonight before flying out early tomorrow, but had waited nearly ten minutes with no server to say hello or offer water. i inquired at the bar and was told "someone will arrive"... no one did so i left, letting the host know of this outcome. too bad for me as i was looking forward to one last classic swedish dish. pro tip to the establishment: please train your servers to greet new patrons with one minute of being seated. the customer wants to be acknowledged and gain a sense of how quickly his/her service will be for that entire meal so this is a great way to start the service.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic. The cocktails were super fun and tasty, the staff was super friendly, and if consuming their butter fried chanterelles on toast was punishable by death, I'd still eat it happily and with zero regrets.

Yelp
The burger and fries were good! Interior decor was cosy and intimate. The wait staff service was great at brunch. I think I will make a dinner reservation to try this place out again. I would have given this place another star if it wasn't for two things. #1- The brunch menu needs a lot of improvement and #2 - when I tried to come here as a walk-in for dinner all the waitstaff totally ignored me for a good ten minutes--while I actively tried to get their attention! When I came for the weekend menu it was an entirely different experience. It was calm and the employees were service minded. Highly enjoyable! However, I did have a problem with the menu. Luckily, they made me a burger that wasn't on the printed menu (but for some strange reason it is on their website?) Even though didn't really feel like eating a burger for breakfast, it turned out to be a pretty good decision! Their brunch menu is really more like an lunch/evening french style bistro menu (combined with a tapas menu) than an actual brunch. It doesn't exactly say it's "brunch" on the menu, but it's totally implied (any menu offering from 10:00am to 4:00pm on the weekend...is a brunch menu.) The mixture between breakfast and lunch on it though was hardly evident. There were a little bit of eggs present in their french-style omelets and I did like that they had some salads, but plankstek, falafel, entrecôte, meatballs, tuna burgers, linguini with foie gras, calf-tartar and blood pudding? I'm not sure I will be eating any of that stuff for the first meal of the day any time soon. The most interesting sounding part of the menu was the overpriced tapas style items. Unfortunately, I was also told by a reliable source that they were not worth it so I didn't get any. But, seriously... falafel? Tapas tacos? What do those have to do with a French-Swedish bistro brunch? I understand that translating the American creation of Brunch at a french-swedish restaurant will change up the menu quite a bit... but I still expect to be able to come and have some french-swedish style breakfast items. Brunch was created so that people could eat breakfast at a later time in the day or lunch (or both!). I am one of those people who did not eat anything until 12:00pm on a Saturday and was expecting breakfast food. Where were the yogurt parfaits? Poached eggs? The homemade jam and brioche? Croissant? Pain au chocolat? Choux? I would even go for... Crepes? Soufflé? But... NON! Nowhere to be seen. Their weekday breakfast menu looks way more amazing and exactly like what I was looking for! Why couldn't we get even a third of that on the weekend?! I gave this place three stars because the burger was good and I keep thinking that i'm just getting unlucky with this place. Everyone else seems to love it. I would recommend that you try out the regular weekday breakfast or the weekday dinner menus--both sound fantastic. And, definitely reserve a table! =)

Yelp
Was so excited for this place based on many reviews and then it was just okay. Lovely starters (a potato pancake with bleak roe and gorgeous sour cream, and a lobster taco- weird tortilla but sweet, fresh lobster) but disappointing mains. My entrecote, ordered medium rare, came well done and was very gristly. Did not finish. Partner's dish, which was part of the daily menu, was pretty flavorless beef though had some nice garnish- asparagus and fabulous creamed potatoes. Oh, and the fries were spectacular. Service also went from great to terrible - waited 35 minutes after dinner plates were cleared for one very simple dessert that was on the menu and clearly prepped long before, and I would have ordered another drink if anyone had ever come close enough to ask. Overall I regret wasting one of my few meal opportunities in Stockholm here.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. Went on a Sunday night - had a reservation and was seated promptly downstairs. The decor and ambience are fabulous - very comfortable and cool. Good vibe. Service was attentive and thoughtful. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. For appetizers we split arancini and a beet slider - both so delicious but very small in size. For dinner I had the pasta with mushroom sauce- wonderful flavor and very tasty. Husband had a gyro / pork dish. He liked it but said if we went back he'd probably get something different. Solid 4 stars. Would have gotten 5 but the portions were a bit small for the price.

Yelp
This place is busy! We came here without a reservation and so were told the bar is first come first serve. We found seats after 20 mins by the bar and sat down but were not attended to for another 15mins. Finally our server arrived to take our drink orders and debrief the menu. When we asked for some recommendations, he simply said you can't go wrong with any of the items on the menu. Either he genuinely loved every item on the menu or he just didn't really care to explain each of the items to us. So we order a couple of appies and the flank steak on plank wood. The appies were alright but I find the steak to be a bit salty for my liking. I didn't think there was anything special about this resto.
google avatar

Erika K.

Yelp
The food and service was great. Weekday lunch is cheap for a restaurant of this class. It comes with bread (yummy!)
google avatar

Angela A.

Yelp
The first 1 Star I've ever given a restaurant. Horrible service. Angry and snobby staff. Crappy watered down drinks. Didn't stay long enough for food. Did I mention the horrible service? Save yourself the pain and go dine at Meatballs For All People or Urban Deli and enjoy friendly staff and delish plates of yummy food.
google avatar

Mellissa W.

Yelp
Had a nice brunch here the other day with a friend. Was surprised she was able to book us a table here as I heard it was not an easy task. We had the eggs Benedict since it was suggested and not as eccentric with gourmet game-flair they serve. Would like to do something more Swedish next time but I am working my way into that. Lovely place with very attentive staff. Cant give them my 5 Star just yet. It is however a must try.
google avatar

Emilia N.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and I've had the tuna burger and it was even better the second time! The staff is very friendly and you even get to bring your dog inside The first time I was here I think me and my boyfriend timed the shift change so we had to wait a little longer and we didn't know what to do... And after that he thought that the pasta was a bit to salty but I had the tuna burger for the first time and it was not disappointing - quite the opposite! I think it was just an off night and the service and mood was still the same nice vibe that you love in a bistro like this one. Yesterday me and my friend had a lovely dinner outside and we even had the traditional "ostkaka" for dessert and it was amazing! Our waitress was super professional and nice. Over all I really like this place and it's one of my go to places any day of the week
google avatar

Adam L.

Yelp
Nytorget 6 is an excellent bistro, in a great neighbourhood. The restaurant has a great vibe at night: lively, and with a great energy. Despite the fact that it was full & busy (& this was the week before Xmas), the service was attentive from the get-go. The menu is inventive and very complete, but with enough 'traditional' offerings to satisfy everyone. We had the croquettes, calamari, and "prästost" (amongst other things), which were all divine. My fellow diners had the duck & veal tartare (equally divine), and I had the tuna burger (would have been divine if they allowed the fish to come to room temp before searing. It was cold in the middle, which wasn't excellent). The wine list was very good, although maybe a few more wines on the lower end of the cost spectrum would be good for diners on more of a budget. Definitely a great place, & as the former Governor of California used to say, "I'll be back!".
google avatar

Cristina B.

Yelp
Meant to go to Meatballs - for the people (by the same owners) but they were full so came here instead. AMAZING decision. The food was simply delicious. The meatballs and mashed potatoes were the perfect combination, I felt like I was in heaven. I also had a Swedish beer and the Swedish cheesecake. Both great. Our waiter was awesome. He recommended everything and was so nice -- highly recommend.

Steve H.

Yelp
Service was terrible. Had to leave so bad Hostess was rude. Did not want tourists What else can I tell you.
google avatar

Luset D.

Yelp
I was there two nights ago and I have enjoyed the food.. especially the croquettes. The staff was friendly as well but unfortunately I had an incident. I have forgotten my LV scarf on the couch and I was the last one who left the restaurant but when I called them to ask about my scarf in the morning, I've been informed that my scarf is not there. I even told them where I sit and where I left it but "somehow" they couldn't find it. That was a shock to me. I hope whoever found it would come out and return it.
google avatar

Patrik K.

Yelp
When you read the menu you get really excited. When you enter you are welcomed by that relaxed bistro look and great friendly staff. And when that staff suggests you let the kitchen put together some of the small plates it all sort of peaks. I love that kind of gutsy "let us show you what we like". The food is presented in a fun canape style but unfortunately it is all down hill from there. The food just does not live up to all the other stuff. It is off balance when it comes to seasoning and lacking in texture. Maybe they have to many dishes or maybe they are still a bit green. I will probably give it another chance, but i wont hurry back.
google avatar

John N.

Yelp
A bit tucked away down a side street and it first looks like a grocery store but the food is delicious and the staff is helpful. We sat inside the first visit and outside the second time.
google avatar

Pete M.

Yelp
Trendy is the buzzword for SoFo. Of course this trendy reputation makes people who want to have a good meal at a good price run away usually. Strangely Nytorget 6 is trendy AND well priced and good. Let the rest of town say that we're dumb hipsters down here, they only make it easier for me to get a seat at this place and other good places in my neighborhood.
google avatar

Loe B.

Yelp
Came here for lunch, and although service was kind of slow (which seems standard for Stockholm and I dont mind when Im on vacation) the food was good and the outside seating area by the park was lovely. Its been difficult to find good food in Stockholm so this felt like a victory. I had the shrimp salad which was fresh, tasty, and huge compared to other meals I had in the city. My friend had the mushroom omelette that came with a side salad, and said it was a buttery heaven. Another friend had the meatballs that comes with whipped potatoes, ligonberry, gravy, which she also enjoyed. Prices were average for Stockholm, probably good value for the location.
google avatar

Max S.

Yelp
My friend and I had a lovely - and not too expensive - meal here on a Sunday evening. We didn't have a reservation but were seated very swiftly after a drink at the bar. I had the reindeer heart followed by the black pudding and it was excellent, in particular the use of lingonberries. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.
google avatar

Dionne J.

Yelp
Jetlagged and hungry for our first real meal in Stockholm, we found this lovely place serving up reindeer heart and Swedish meatballs! This place has a hip, trendy vibe and the food was delightful. Would recommend if you're around the solder all/Nytorget area.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
After walking around and not finding the 'right place' we stumbled upon Nytorget 6. There were no tables for 3 available so decided to sit at the bar. Great decision! Bartenders were funny, friendly and helpful. They even got the kitchen to make a small sample of the dish we were interested in (black pudding with pork belly) to ensure we liked it before ordering. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was phenomenal.
google avatar

Mersina K.

Yelp
Great food at a great price. Abit too crowded at times. I love that you are allowed to bring your dog into the restaurant...
google avatar

Gwendolyn M.

Yelp
Yummy! Woohoo! Food was fabulous! Very trendy, which I like very much. We ate here twice before heading to Denmark.
google avatar

Katrina M.

Yelp
Excellent service and great food and drink selection. Many choices for vegetarians. Sat at the bar and had a great bartender/server. Added feature is the open kitchen. The decor and vibe is trendy hipster. Would go back in a second!
google avatar

Yenson L.

Yelp
Best meatballs & mash potatoes I've had, along with some extraordinarily intricate cocktails at a reasonable price makes this place a gem.

Amy T.

Yelp
Such a fun dining experience! The restaurant was very busy but we got a seat at the bar. The bartender was talkative and suggested different dishes that he thought we would enjoy more, he was sure right. I got the chicken and it was 10/10! My husband enjoyed his gyro platter and fries. The appetizers we ordered included fried risotto (super delicious!) and steak strips (I do not like rare, other than that they were fine but they are rare) were nice as well. Cocktails and wine suggestions added to the experience. The decor is fabulous, friendly staff and fun music. I highly suggest going here if you are in the area!
google avatar

Anita B.

Yelp
Have tried almost everything on the menu and it all tastes amazing!! Great atmosphere and cool ambience! Good prices! Don't miss the tuna burger!
google avatar

Julian O.

Yelp
It is a nice, cool restaurant. Gets packed. Food is good, not out of this world but I would consider above average. Good vibe too, was here on a Tuesday evening late, and it's packed. Recommended. Try the smoked reindeer heart :)
google avatar

Jakob P.

Yelp
Nice location but a pricy lunch that did not impress. They also charged over 30 kr for plain brewed coffee to go. That wasn't reasonable considering the price of the food. Not coming back,

Janet T.

Yelp
This was awesome. Our waiter Benjamin was so friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious. Recommend the pork croquettes, cod fritters, burrata, but everything was so good. And the blueberry pie! Don't miss it. A favorite during our week in Stockholm.

S V.

Yelp
We came here for dinner after recommendations from two people. The char was really good and the meat balls were so so (although don't know if I can be wowed by meatballs). The service was good and they were quite busy so we had to sit outside. If you don't have a reservation, I recommend getting there early. Maybe because of the hype but we were a little disappointed. Would give it another chance but as of now, don't understand the rave reviews.
google avatar

Lindsey A.

Yelp
We ate dinner here on our last night in Stockholm (visiting from the US). The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, the music was really great, and the atmosphere was perfect. I highly recommend checking out Nytorget 6!

Tracy Q.

Yelp
Phenomenal food (loved the meatballs), excellent atmosphere and great service, even at the bar on a very busy night.

Jinae K.

Yelp
I came here because of all the amazing Yelp reviews, but I was thoroughly unimpressed with this place. First off, the service was horrible. I took a seat at the bar, and was planning on ordering dinner and drinks. I tried to make eye contact with the bartender to ask her for a menu; it was nearly impossible to get her to look at me, even though I was the only person seated at the bar. So, I just said, "Fuck it, I'm going to wait until she decides to acknowledge me." And I waited, and waited, and waited. It must have been about 15 minutes, and I was just about to walk out. Then, I saw a different bartender who seemed a bit friendlier, so I asked her for a menu. I finally was able to order a Pinot Grigio and the prawns with aioli. The wine was okay, and when the prawns arrived, I looked at the dish for about ten minutes in despair, wondering if I should eat it or not...That's how bad it looked. It looked like someone took a fistful of frozen shrimp, boiled them, then plopped them in a bowl; imagine eating that. I finally just decided to eat them, because I was starving. They tasted okay; at that point, I just wanted something to feed my hunger, and I just gave up on having a wonderful meal at that point. I just accepted my fate, that tonight, I was eating this bowl of sad, sad shrimp. Maybe I should have ordered something else, or maybe I should have just went to Italy.

Olivia R.

Yelp
This place is so worth it! Came here while visiting a friend (I'm from the US) and I'm so glad I did... Went around 9pm on a Friday and it was pretty busy but we got seated right away. We ordered a lot of starters which all came out fairly quick... Burrata: amazing, 1/2 Veal: amazing, Fried Cheddar: amazing, the smoked reindeer heart: I was super nervous about but I did try it and it was good. The Grass is Always Greener drink btw, so good!!! Ordered the Tuna Burger as a main and I loved it!!! My boyfriend got the lamb and he said that was really good too. GO HERE! ITS SO AWESOME!!!

Yelp
My friends and I had an amazing experience at Nytorget 6. After reviewing the menu and seeing the trendy interior of the restaurant, we booked a reservation for later that night. We were told 9 was the earliest we could be seated and that the restaurant was packed all night...we later found that this was not exactly true, but the service and food was incredible, so we decided to let that slide. The bread given to every table (which our server gladly refilled many times ;) ) was some of the best bread I have ever had!! We knew this restaurant was going to be amazing from this point on. The appetizers were fantastic, but very small...only big enough for one person. My friends ordered the People's Meatballs and LOVED them. I ordered Cauliflower Risotto and it was INCREDIBLE. We stayed at Nytorget 6 for hours, enjoying food and the fun, hip atmosphere. The crowd was young and trendy and seemed very typical of this area of Stockholm. The prices are expensive, but Stockholm is an expensive city. If you're gonna spend money (which you will in this city), spend it here for a great dining experience!

Yelp
We we're seated in the basement, cause it was fully booked, this turned out to be great! Super nice atmosphere, relaxed, the cocktails were good and the food was decent. Maybe not the best, but definitely recommendable before going out for example. Only disappointment was probably that the service left a bit to wish for. The waitress waiters 3 tables at the same time, that is talking to 3 different tables at the same time, which felt a bit rude. Other than that nothing to complain about.

Yelp
Best meal I ate in Sweden. Everywhere I ate was very pricey in Sweden and overall food was average, but not here. Quality was amazing and the dishes were very creative. We had the grilled artichoke, cauliflower risotto and suckling pig. All were fantastic. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Went there last night for dinner since Meatballs for the People was closed up the street. The decor and ambiance are great as is the service. It is pricey but the food tasted wonderful. I had the meatballs and my girlfriend had the scallops. The only issue was the service size, quite small compared to the price.
