NYX Hotel Bilbao by Leonardo Hotels

Super central location. Great staff! Easy to access public transport, and very close to great places to eat such as Plaza Nueva (1-2min to walk). Rooms are alright, we had the junior suite which was regular room size by most standards, but it had a lovely terrace. And also top floor, so very quiet. The one negative remark would be that facing the traffic in the front you will hear a lot of noise, all day and night. Even at the top floor. But its a price to pay for such great location. And no noise from clubs or restaurants. Beautiful park right outside and river view.

We had an overall pleasant stay — the hotel is clean, the location is convenient, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and quiet, which we really appreciated. There were, however, two things that could be improved. The mattress was noticeably firm, which made sleeping slightly less comfortable than expected. Additionally, the sink design, although modern, is very wide and flat, which unfortunately makes every splash or mark quite visible and not very practical for everyday use. Aside from these details, everything else was satisfactory, and we enjoyed our time at the hotel.

This is a great hotel, centrally located for both the old town and the new town. The hotel is spotless, and the rooms are great. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are visiting Bilbao, you won't find a better hotel.

Brilliant stay in a wonderfully positioned hotel - right in the old town! ||Had an issue checking in as Expedia didn't send through our request for a twin room. The staff were so helpful and great about it. We were initially given a double and asked to check again in the morning so we could get a twin, however five minutes later they'd managed to find us one! ||The hotel is clean, modern, quiet and with great air-con (perfect for those middle aged hot flushes!). The beds were slightly too hard for me, but I'm middle aged, and everything hurts these days...||All in all a great, wallet friendly hotel that's perfect for exploring Bilbao. We didn't book breakfast, as there are so many great cafes, bakeries and brunch spots within a few minutes walk.

The location is perfect and the staff is very polite, but: • Breakfast items seem to be refrozen and are not of the best quality. There are no appropriate cups for different types of coffee, so you end up drinking espresso from a large mug. • There is no desk in the room, which makes it uncomfortable if you need to work. • Water is not refilled • The room lacks standard accessories such as slippers and a bathrobe. Definitely not worth for such a price and the standard it declares.

This is the ideal place to stay when exploring old town Bilbao. The hotel had a hip, fun feel to it.||Asier helped us at the front desk and he is fantastic! The hotel does not provide parking but, there is a parking garage approximately two minute walk from the hotel. We had no problems at all.

The hotel is perfectly located, wonderfully decorated both in rooms and throughout. My only downsides are the toilet paper in the bathroom was very poor quality/cheap. It was like sandpaper which is shame. It would improve guest experience by a lot but would only cost a relatively small amount. The pillows were poor too - either flat or lumpy. A choice of pillows /offer of a more firm pillow would have also helped. The hotel provided 1 small bottle of mineral water complimentarily. It's a shame this wasn't replenished each day. Similarly, more tea and coffee in the room (only 2 of each, not enough milk etc).

Do not go with this hotel. Staff reasonably friendly but hotel management likely very bad. Here’s why: We booked the room a month ago but were given a room for persons with special needs (on a wheelchair) which obviously didn’t apply to us. We were not told about what kind of room it was and said it’s a “standard room”. The bathroom had no shower/bathtub frames just curtains, shower head not placed in a pleasant height level, mirror also positioned for those in a wheelchair. Not ideal for us. The entire walls had stains and marks which overall didn’t justify the 420€ for 3 nights. We expected a city view but that also wasn’t true. Nothing like what was shown in the photos on the website. Also seeing similar complaints about this in the reviews. Their terrace was also closed. Why offer a room for handicap people to those who are not? I blame the hotel management not the staff working there. Don’t waste your time here. We found a new hotel the next day that was 10x better even without a refund. Too unbearable to stay. Service was good. They called me when I forgot some stuff at the hotel. But overall you / we deserve better. Hotel management needs to change.

Beautiful hotel in an ideal location. However, rooms are small and the famous rooftop bar they advertised was closed during the summer with no justifiable reason. Bait & switch.

Just to be clear, this review is for Clash Gastrobar inside NYX hotel. The service is excellent, the food is equally impressive. If you want a sitdown meal in a classy ambiance do not pass this place. Highly recommended.

Nice and modern hotel near the attractions in Bilbao. Room space is a bit cramped, but all amenities were available and service was never lacking.
