Best Portugese food I’ve had so far in Lisbon! Large portions and fair prices.

Place is great. It is very authentic and local. If you are looking for a place to eat actual batoque, and not the tourist things from center, this is the spot!

A neighborhood gem. Small family run restaurant opens on Sunday! (Many place close on Sunday) and they accept card payment. The son speaks good English abut entire family is very friendly with the Portuguese ease of life type of vibe. Sitting at the counter can see how busy they are, many take away orders from locals. Made to order dish hence I waited a bit longer than the “hungry after gym” self care would like to, but hey the sea bream portion is sooo big only 10EUR you can come with a friend and share some dishes together. (If there’s table outside it’s better I think) But really should give it a try!!!

This place was definitely the highlight of our trip to Portugal. It’s a family owned place with the nicest people ever, despite the language problems. We went there twice and both times food was just over the top quantity and quality wise! We ordered both times the red house wine and it was great. I know if we were to stay longer in Lisbon we would’ve been daily costumers to this place.

The restaurant is run by a family. The waiter (I think the father) is adorable, although he didn't speak English, he communicated smoothly with us using gestures and was friendly. We got our food quickly. The food tastes like homemade food. Although it wasn't mind-blowingly delicious, the food was tasty and reasonably priced. Also try coming early because they run out of a lot of dishes by 7.30 pm

Typical family-run Portuguese restaurant, perfect for a quick lunch with good food. Eat like a Portuguese and start your meal with a soup of the day. You need to try their Bitoque, the dish that names the place

Wow. Just finished another great meal in Lisboa. We took the trolley to Campo de Ourique and walked around the market. Nice but made for tourists. About two blocks over is this family run restaurant. Papa was cooking and mama and children out front. The grilled sea bass was delicious. The wife had a local dish. 2 half liters of wine and 2 coffees. €25,90

Yelp
Locals lunch spot. Real everyday Portuguese cuisine. Very inexpensive. Generous portions. Wide wine selection but only one beer on tap. A long lunch counter with a few 2-person tables opposite & a little seating for 2-4 outside. Sautéed octopus & chicken curry were good. Always very busy and even a brisk take out business. Locals I'm visiting like it & I will go back at least once while I'm here.

Yelp
Muito Bom First stop in Lisboa for food. Had the steak & egg dinner- great portion. I ordered the larger option of wine- too much. Trying to pass the pitcher around to my neighbors.
