The facility and management are fantastic. Our room overlooked the ocean and had a private terrace. The rooms are large, and thoughtfully designed with plenty of closet and drawer space. Air conditioning was perfection (easy to adjust and control). Great to have a small refrigerator for water and wine storage. Breakfast is offered in-room or out on the terrace (table cloth, silverware - very elegant). The staff is extraordinary - attentive, kind, warm, and professional. Katia, Augustin, Rue (amazing manager) and the entire housekeeping staff (the whole facility is immaculately clean!) made our first trip to Portugal wonderful. Would definitely return to O Castelo in the future!

We loved our stay at O Castelo Guest House. The location is unbeatable — perched above the beach with stunning views and just a short walk to everything in Carvoeiro. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The team were friendly and made us feel right at home. A great spot to relax and soak up the best of the Algarve. Highly recommend!

We had the pleasure of staying here for a few days. Absolutely faultless hotel. The room was beautifully decorated with a lovely sea view balcony, so nice to be able to hear the ocean. The staff at the hotel couldn't do enough for you and were so helpful and friendly. Can't wait to stay here again soon

This place is a perfect quiet little spot right up the hill from town center. The room has a breathtaking view which is perfect for the in house breakfast. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Plenty of street parking and easily walkable restaurants. We absolutely loved going to sleep with the sound of the waves and waking up to fresh breakfast. We will definitely be back!

I am certain this is the best location to stay in Carvoeira. The view is spectacular and you have two hikes starting from either direction. The very popular seven hanging valleys to the east and rota dos caminho dos promontorios to the west. You are also close to the beach and town center. Aside from the location the rooms are modern, extremely clean and the bathroom is newly renovated. The receptionist Catia and the owner / manager Rute were so helpful and welcoming. I just cannot recommend this hotel more highly. Just book early. The hotel was fully booked more than a month before my departure and I was lucky to score a room the night before my trip started.

We loved the view, location & breakfast on our terrace! Truly a boutique hotel experience. All the staff were super helpful. Provided sun umbrella & beach towels. Eating and excursion recommendations which were as described. Did the cave tour which we would recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at O Castelo in April 2024! Our room was beautifully decorated and updated. We did not have a balcony room but enjoyed breakfast on their shared balcony one morning and really enjoyed the view and food. Catia at the front desk was so helpful with rebooking a kayak tour - I loved how she knew other locals to call and get reservations or suggestions right away! We were definitely stay here again!
