From the moment we walked into O Castelo we didn't want to leave - ever! The hotel is amazing: from the spectacular (and spotless!) room overlooking Carvoeiro Beach, to the loaning library on the lower level, and there is nothing like having a delicious picnic breakfast delivered to your door to eat on the balcony! Sheer bliss! Our room was perfection - we opened the door to the sound of the waves but heard nothing else. The bed was so comfortable and being able to go out to the huge balcony was a wonderful treat. Sitting on the balcony with a drink before dinner watching the activity on the beach and the sun bouncing off the cliffs was something we will always remember. Katia and Augustine were the perfect hosts with fabulous dinner recommendations and transportation help. They were always smiling and pleasant. There is a reason the hotel has so many repeat customers and they are a huge part of the reason. Thank you for a wonderful introduction to the Algarve. We will be back!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here. The location couldn’t be more perfect — right in the center of everything, with the beach only a two-minute walk away. There are countless restaurants nearby, yet the rooms remain peaceful, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The balcony was a true highlight; enjoying breakfast out there each morning was unforgettable. The staff were professional, warm, and extremely accommodating throughout my stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for the ideal mix of convenience, comfort, and relaxation. I would happily stay here again!

Of all the lovely hotels we stayed at in Portugal, this was the best. It's in a quiet spot, yet just a couple of minutes walk from the beach and many fine dining options. The hotel is perched on a bluff and the sliding glass doors reveal the balcony and ocean. I believe all rooms open to the ocean which crashes on the shore below. The staff was wonderful, and all were so very pleasant and helpful. I recommend getting the breakfast on the balcony. It is a good breakfast in a stunning location. When we return to Portugal, we will most certainly plan a stop here

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly young gentleman who gave us a full introduction to the hotel and the town of Carvoeiro. He generously offered restaurant suggestions and excursions. The hotel has a gorgeous view from the terrace where we enjoyed our delicious breakfasts with our friends. We did not have an ocean view room but loved the view from the terrace. Our room although small was clean and comfortable. We loved being able to walk to restaurants and shops close by. The boat tour from the beach is a must too!

We had a great time exploring Algarve while staying at O’Castelo hotel. The views from the balcony and the room were terrific. Rooms are spacious with nice interiors. All the major spots of Carvoeiro, including the beach are at walking distance. ||Highly recommend!

We stayed 3 nights at O Castelo Gueat house on our 15 night trip to Portugal and they were the best 3 nights of our trip! We booked the rooftop terrace room (#6) and it was INCREDIBLE! The views were so amazing we didn’t want leave our terrace! We got take out food and ate our meals there ;). The bed was super comfortable and the hospitality was above and beyond. Every single person that worked there was so helpful and friendly. We would go back in a heartbeat. You have to book this place well in advance because it’s so popular! If you see availability for your dates, you will not regret booking here!!

If able, I would have given Service more stars! Our stay in Carvoeiro was greatly enhanced by our staying at O Castelo. Our room was well appointed, with everything we needed. Very comfortable and the balcony and view…stupendous. Having breakfast delivered and eaten outside was a great way to start our days. Now back to the service. We may have had service that equaled our experience here, but we’ve never had any better! Just outstanding. The location is perfect for everything local and thru the Algarve. I recommend you stay here, period.
