We had a lovely family dinner here. The atmosphere is low key, food was amazing. The service was on point.

I Googled it, read the reviews, and decided to go for lunch. It was a good time. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and Francisca's friendliness was gratifying. I highly recommend it.

For three people, we ordered too much. The vitela was the best dish we ordered. Everything tasted homemade. Service was outstanding.

I was recommended by a work colleague to go there for dinner while traveling through Portugal. Travelling there for the first time I wouldn't have thought there was a restaurant tucked in at that location, but was pleasantly surprised on entry. Food was great and service was top notch. Really enjoyed my experience there.

Excellent restaurant with amazing food. We asked for 2 doses for 5 people and it was enough. We had Wild boar with chestnuts and the typical rice of carqueija. Both amazing. For desert we hade leite creme and farófias. We were amazed with the quality of the food.

Pretty happy that a local recommended me this place. The food was authentic and tasty. Price may be high for portuguese standars (15€/person), but worth the quality. If it reassures you the "schnapps" is free!

Google
Very nice place, environment and staff. The food is great, and I don't give 5 Stars because I think it's a crime to add raisins in that delicious duck rice. And has a photo of Antonio Costa on the wall! That should mean 0 Stars.

Yelp
We enjoyed a delicious dinner a few nights ago at Cortico in Viseu. I think we all agreed that the chorizo and morcella for appetizers were the best part of the meal, considering our main dishes were amazing. This is a hidden tiny rustic restaurant located on a side street in the historical section of the city that serves traditional Portuguese cuisine. We were lucky they had a free table for us and as the night went on it was packed. The server was so friendly and attentive and the food was served hot and fresh. We will be returning before our vacation is over to try more of their traditional dishes. Delicious.

Yelp
Super traditional Portuguese food. House wine was unreal. Octopus and the rice mix they make was unbelievable.

Yelp
If you are visiting Viseu, you ABSOLUTELY must stop at this wonderful little restaurant. If you're not visiting Viseu, then change your plans and visit. The staff is incredible. From the moment that we walked in I never felt like I was at a restaurant; it was as if I was visiting an old friend for lunch. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We were 11 people and they accommodated us without hesitation. They even offered to make something off menu for the two children. Don't bother asking for a wine list - just have the house wine; it's amazing. Our group had three different items from the menu and we all shared. Each one we had was even better than the last. Some of the best food I have tasted anywhere in Portugal, bar none. The pumpkin and cheese dessert was one of the best desserts that I've ever tasted anywhere.
