It took 10 years but I finally made it here. Absolutely met my expectations. I came for the cod, so that was that. It was really, really good. Other dishes, shrimp and oxtail were also great. Problem was I wanted almost every special they offered! Especially the octopus. The service was special, like family. A memorable dining experience, top 1%er and I have experience. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you, thank you.

Got the Portuguese Steak, fries, rice. Was excellent even for thick steak. Usually I like the small ones. But very good. Service was very good. Super attentive. Had great selections and the staff was knowledgeable. Would definitely come back and have already told my friends and family to check this spot out!! ⛽ 🔥 Oh yeah and got a cappacino before I left and was very good too.

O Dinis – An Unforgettable Dining Experience In May 2024, a large group of friends gathered for the first time since the pandemic, and while we had an amazing weekend exploring Rhode Island, the absolute highlight was our dinner at O Dinis. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like family. Our waitress was incredible—handling our large group with ease and enthusiasm. Most of us had never tried Portuguese cuisine before, so we entrusted her with our meal choices, and she did not disappoint. Every dish was phenomenal, and the wine selection was just as impressive. They brought out different bottles and multiple glasses so we could sample a variety, making the experience even more special. My wife and I are big foodies—we’ve dined at James Beard Award-winning and Michelin-starred restaurants—but this was hands-down our favorite group dining experience. If we didn’t live in Texas, we would absolutely be regulars. We’re incredibly excited to return this June when our group gets back together again. O Dinis is a must-visit!

I’ve always been one to turn my eye to the specials before the regulars… and for good reason. O'Dinis is an exquisite example of this rule: my most recent visit involved a run-in with goat. You heard that right, goat! My father and I started off with a helping of littlenecks in white wine sauce, as anyone in East Providence would wish to do. The clam meat was generally large and plump, which spoke volumes of the restaurant's dogma of quality AND quantity. The main dish might not have given me the same tangy highs as the roast rabbit I had here last time, but the tenderness was unmatched by any other kind of animal I've eaten. When something's served on the bone, it's a testament to the potential of flavor in every meal, and the chefs recognized the nuance fluently. The potatoes were crisp, more home-fry like than I anticipated, but softening them up with the bbq sauce was a matter of both texture and flavor. The rice paired well with the sauce, too!

Amazing food. Lovely family and staff. Great value. Everything on the menu is great and there are usually a few excellent specials. The white sangria is refreshing (beware, has a kick).

Google
The best Portuguese restaurant in New England, by far. It is not very big in sq ft, but the quality of the food, the friendliness and politeness of the staff and its owner(s), magnify its potential with their proud Portuguese roots, as reflected in their typical Portuguese menu. Above all, everyone is treated as “family” and welcomed with such kindness and honest greetings, making everyone feel special. From your first visit to O Dinis, you are treated with the same appreciation and welcomed embrace as a repeat visitor. Congratulations to Natalia and Team for being a key part of o Dinis vision and friendly approach. You are a success in our community by representing the Portuguese culture and way of conducting business in an honest, humble manner, treating all with respect and much kindness. John N

Driving home from the beach some friends said you have your stop here and O Dinis was amazing family friendly amazing food if you can get in, do it. You will not regret it. Food is amazing and still priced like the good old days. Don’t miss the opportunity to eat here. They don’t need the recommendations but I really enjoyed the experience.

Google
The food was full of FLAVOUR and perfectly cooked! Everything was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Very authentic Portuguese dishes. The staff are all extremely friendly and down to earth. You can tell the place gets very busy but everybody is working hard and trying their best! Honestly one of the best Portuguese restaurants for the price and service. Between 2 people we got an appetizer, 2 large meals and 4 glasses of sangria for just under $70! Amazing!!!!!! You won't regret it!

Yelp
Stopped here on the way to Massachusetts. Hungry from being on the road for a couple hours, we enjoyed the delicious clams and sopped up the juices with bread. We asked for recommendations from the waitress, who noted everything on the menu was good. My husband and I got the marinated pork chops and chicken. I was not as impressed as I was with the clams. The plates weren't bad, they just weren't "wow." The restaurant is also very loud and cramped. There seemed to be a lot of Portuguese folks there, so I would imagine the food is authentic. The waitress was very nice, although I wish she would have been more helpful or opinionated on the menu options.

Yelp
I finally got to go here for lunch. The place does an incredible business, and I couldn't get in the last time. After reading the last Yelp review, I was worried about what to expect, but luckily, it was as far from the truth as you can get. They're probably a disgruntled ex employee. So one of the only drawbacks is no private lot. You can park on a side street, though. We entered the restaurant and were promptly greeted by our soon to be server. She was courteous and attentive. The waitress told us about the specials and then we ordered our drinks... Portuguese beer. While waiting to place the orders, I observed the dining room a little. It's comfortable enough, clean and tidy, tables for two a tad too small. I ordered the Portuguese kale soup, which was good, but the broth seemed to be made from seafood stock and tomato, which is different than I'm used to. My main entree was grilled chicken with garlic butter sauce, Portuguese potatoes, and rice. There was also fresh bread and an olive oil dip. The food was delicious and authentic mainland Portuguese cuisine. We'll be back!

Yelp
One of my favorite Portuguese restaurants! We've been a few times and, so far, the food has been consistently good. Place is on the small side & be prepared to wait to be seated Fridays-Sundays. We did takeout last time. Got 4 steaks, ordered medium rare, & they were perfect despite having to drive 30 minutes home. I was happy they took travel into consideration when cooking them. I definitely need to branch out when I go as I always tend to order one of the streaks. Though, I have had the carne de porco à alentejana & caldo verde; both are also really good. They have live entertainment sometimes as well, including Fado, which drives home that old-school Portuguese vibe. Will definitely be back, hopefully for years to come.

Yelp
This place was amazing! We waited about 10 minutes for our table on a Friday night which is awesome! The food was incredible! I got the pork alentajana and it was delicious!!! Tender pork, amazing potatoes and the sauce was incredible! We also got the little necks with white wine to start and that was mouth watering delicious! The bread was so good! The place is cute for a Portuguese restaurant. They have RTP on the tv. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Hadn't been to O Dinis in years; it's a small restaurant and doesn't take reservations unless a party of 8 or more so often its a long wait for a table. Today we went at 2:30 for a late lunch and was sat right away. It started getting busy but the time we were leaving but we still had good/quick service. The food was as great as I remembered, i had a steak and it was cooked to perfection!! Everyone enjoyed their meals and they even sang my dad happy birthday! Hope to go back soon.

Yelp
Was looking forward to trying this place I've heard good things from friends. Unfortunately I felt the food was pretty bland. [ordered the white clams and the shrimp appetizer] and the service was NOT good. I would have one waitress come and take our order than another one was coming to check in and it happened several times having to repeat what we ordered. Don't think I'll be back again.

Yelp
We stopped by around 2pm on Sunday. We were seated relatively quickly. The restaurant was packed, and servers were scrambling. Tables in the restaurant are tight, very close by one another. It seemed like the older woman ran most of the restaurant, telling the younger servers to refill our waters and grab take out bags for us. She took the orders and brought out the hand written checks, manning the register. The others did everything else. Of course the restaurant is packed, it's almost like 1 person running the store so everything is so slow. It took a long time for the food to come out, to get our check, and also a VERY long time to get a second bag for our take out boxes - where I had to ask a second waiter. Only the guy with the glasses was attentive to us the entire time. Thank you! We ended up ordering the Peito de Galinha Grelhado com Camarao & Carne de Porco Alentejana. Portion size is big. I had the Carne de Porco Alentejana. The food was ok, the pork was not juicy and very dry. The sauces were unique. A little too flavorful for me.

Yelp
Impressive. What a discovery for me. I am so glad to have been let in on this Portuguese dining treasure. If you come here expecting high brow dining, you are out of place. If you come here expecting authentic and delicious food and dessert, then you are in for a treat. Food, price, service--triple winner. Parking is a challenge but come early enough or after 6PM and park in one of the closed businesses at this time, facing the main street. The first sign I knew it was going to be good is having a tough time deciding which dish to order. Appetizer was Amêijoas à Espanhola (littlenecks steamed in a tomato and onion sauce). I went for Camarão à Alhinho (Shrimp sauteed in spiced garlic and butter sauce)...mmm, while my friends ordered Bife à Casa (pan seared sirloin steak in beer and garlic sauce). A tip: if you're going for potatoes as a side dish, ask for the fried potatoes sliced like chips. Bomb. We ordered wine to pair with our dishes and finished off with flan and coffee. It was a lovely night of dining and as such, we had a really great time. We never felt rushed. I aim to relieve that experience.

Yelp
Bummer. I really had high hopes for this place. All my Portuguese friends had told me about O Dinis and described it as the best Portuguese restaurant in Providence. Well, to start, I'm not from Portugal, so I can't speak to authenticity - just on taste. Unfortunately, we were rather disappointed at the general lack of flavor in the food. We tried a smattering of dishes. For apps: Little necks in white wine sauce and Portuguese sausage. The clams were mediocre and the sausage was hard and a bit burnt. Disappointing but we still held hope for the entrees to salvage the experience. We had the alentejana with pork, shrimp, rabbit special, the salted cod, and fried red fish (also a special). The salted cod was huge but lacked flavor. The shrimps were tiny and were also a bit bland. The carne alentejana had the best flavor but was overcooked and hard. The rabbit was also flavorful. Overall, the evening was a bust. We thought there wasn't enough sparks of flavor in the food to merit another try some other time. Very surprising as we loved our experiences at Riviera, though many of my Portuguese friends kept telling me that O Dinis was better. Maybe we arrived on an off night, but alas we will never know. We even found Madeira better than this place. Sorry folks. Maybe you'll have a better experience than we did. I think I'm being generous with the 3 stars.

Yelp
Food is great here. The portion is big. The fried cod fish is boned in. It is very delicious and flavorful. Great with bread. The clam is awesome. The butter garlic sauce is also good. The sauce on the salmon is very good. Sangria is so worth it. I can taste lot of brandy. Service is great.

Yelp
We were craving some authentic Portuguese food and I think we found it! The service was good and the food was deliiiiiiicious!!! 1) complimentary Portuguese bread and sauce- the sauce has chopped up onions, herbs and other things. But it was tasty! 2) CAMARÃO ALHINHO- wow, the shrimp was cooked perfected and served in small stew with garlic and a side of fries and rice. Super big dish! I would get this again! 3) BACALHAU NA BRASA- my bf ordered this. So much food! It was good and just a reminder that it has bones, so watch out. 4) the cod croquette- wow! It was hot and crispy and so delicious. Served with a sauce that had beans in it. Cleaned the plate up! Overall, it has a traditional and diner feel to it and really nice staff. We enjoyed it.

Yelp
The food and service here is great. The young ladies that work here are lovely and attentive, always smiling. I ordered a soup, appetizer, and the rabbit dish. All of them were good. The rabbit had an interesting but good flavor, a flavor I've never tasted before. My only qualm was the fact that one of the ladies through the rest of my appetizer away of which it was a lot left and i didn't understand why she would do that.

Yelp
Having traveled almost an hour to try an authentic Portuguese restaurant, my hopes were high. After reading many of the disappointed reviews, I unfortunately have to add another. We started the meal with the same bread and oil every other patron gets only to find a key in the oil dish. Yes, a key (apparently to the soap dispenser) in our food. When we informed a member of staff about it, he seemed as if he couldn't care any less offering us a shrug and a simple "sorry". We then told our waitress who offered more enthusiastic sympathies and gave us our three $2 sodas for free for the inconvenience. Which hardly made a difference considering we were charged a $5 fee for paying with a card. We didn't expect to spend over two hours for lunch considering every table that came in after us seemed to eat, pay, and leave long before we could. All in all, the food (without the key) was decent but not worth the drive, the time spent waiting, nor the annoyance.

Louise S.

Yelp
The food was delicious! It was a very enjoyable time! Planning on returning For lunch!!!!

Rose S.

Yelp
I went there yesterday on Oct 21 2024 had a bad experience the cape verdean waitress was so rude .and there wasa guy there wearing a Trump shirt .she and the lady bartender mocked the man .they were speaking Portuguese and I heard everything they said .they were making faces at us for talking to him .then the waitress took for ever to give us the bill she was too busy mocking the poor guy .I will never go back there again. I was disgusted. Not everyone votes for Harris that doesn't give the waitress and bartender the right to mock a paying customer. I used to go there frequently but now I'll go where the staff respect the customer.

Mira S.

Yelp
the waitress did not tell us about an extra charge when you use the credit card, either way my husband after seeing the extra charge told her to cancel the credit card and paid cash for the bill, later to our surprise they took the $158 cash and still charged our credit card $136.15. we have tried to stop by to talk to someone but of course there is no one to talk to and the waitress said she doesn't recall because she deals with so many people everyday, then tried calling and they put you on hold and hang up the phone after 6 minutes, this is very bad for business. After this encounter I would never go to this restaurant nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. This is theft.

Yelp
During our trip to Rhode Island on Memorial Day weekend, we were recommended to stop by this Portuguese restaurant. There was a wait line already when we got there, and it was approximately 35-40 minute wait before we were seated. The service is a bit slow, as it took some time for us to get the servers to take our orders, for the food to come, and for the check to come. The overall service was alright, and the food was just "Ok." We ordered the clams with white sauce (garlic and butter) as a starter. The clams were okay in size (not big, not small). However, the big no for us for this dish, was that the garlic was completely burnt, so the butter sauce was VERY bitter. we tried to dip bread to soak the sauce in, but it was way too bitter even on the bread. We ate the clams and shook off the sauce, but this dish was completely ruined by the burnt garlic. We ordered the oxtail over rice and potatoes (a special). The oxtail was fall-off the bone type meat, which was great for mopping up the rice. The sauce was really rich, maybe almost too rich. It was not salty, but it was rich for the dish. Overall, it was alright, not the most amazing oxtail dish. The sauce was overpowering and we were glad it came with rice, as it soaked in most of the richness, and softened it up a bit. We also ordered the branzino. The branzino was perfectly charred and cooked. The fish was not fishy tasting, it was fresh. For me, it was a bit dry, and I didn't taste the sauce that it was cooked in.

Yelp
Great authentic Portuguese food, local friendly crowd. Service was excellent and nice cozy ambience. On street parking close by. Nice selection of Portuguese wines. Grilled meat very tasty.

Tony T.

Yelp
Wonderful local spot . Great atmosphere, food, service. Shared camarao alhinho shrimp which has fries and rice in a garlicky saffron sauce and the carne de porco w/ littlenecks.. both quite tasty as the sauces were special. The kale soup as an appetizer was rich and flavorful with kale, beans chourico. An affordable bottle of the Cabriz Dao was perfect for the three of us as we enjoyed our lunch with our Portuguese friend. The place was packed on a Friday lunch so either get there early or later after 2:00, otherwise wait, but it's worth it.:')

Yelp
Based on the great Yelp reviews, my friends and I had dinner here while visiting Providence. The woman who was hosting was really nice but swamped with in person customers and to go orders. We were seated at 6:00 but unfortunately didn't have anyone wait on us until 6:25. The helpful woman who was hosting came by to ask if we'd been waited on and when we said we hadn't, she was quick to get us drinks and bring us bread. That was nice, but it was a little frustrating that three tables that came in after us already had drinks and appetizers on the table before anyone even bothered to talk to us. My honest guess is that we were clearly not local so they wanted to take care of locals first, which is reasonable. The sangria was very good. We did get our orders taken around 6:35, ordering appetizers and entrees. At around 7:00, we were told they were out of one of the appetizers. That's fine, there was another one we wanted to try. We got those and finished them off. The shrimp was fine. The sausage had a nice flavor but a tough and dry texture. We finally got our food around 7:20 (meanwhile a table that came in after us had already finished their meal, which included appetizers). I got the salted cod. The flavor was nice and the potatoes were good, but when I've had that dish before, the fish hasn't been as chewy and full of bones. It was tough to eat because it was so chewy and wouldn't come off of the charred bottom, so I gave up after eating about half of it. The service was friendly, just very slow. I think if you're local, you'll have a great meal here and they'll be very attentive based on the interactions with customers the wait staff seemed to know. My experience as a tourist didn't make me feel welcome so I would probably try another place for Portuguese food next time around.

Yelp
Had take out from here the other night; food remained piping hot from pickup to dinner table and nothing was overcooked. Had their Portuguese steak with egg and brown gravy - amazing; could cut the steak with a spoon. Perfectly cooked to my liking medium to medium rare and not a piece of fat or gristle to be found (ate every morsel). I could of had a cup of the gravy and ate that like a bowl of soup. Great meal - will have to stop on for sit down one of these days.

Yelp
Awesome Portuguese food, staff are friendly the prices are reasonable the restaurant is small and cozy

Yelp
Since some friends were in from out of town, I took them there to sample Portuguese cuisine. As usual, the food was fantastic. However, due to miscommunications in the kitchen, we never got our appetizer. Granted, they did apologize for the oversight, but that was just a bit disappointing.

Yelp
Right there at noon when it opened on Sunday. Seated promptly--service was excellent. Place filled up very fast. Two appetizers of clams--delicious with dunking bread (bread needed to be a bit heartier--crunch) Goat cheese with hot pepper sauce --excellent but again needed a crunchier bread. Sangria sucked. Syrupy sweet--like Hawaiian Punch! ($25 a pitcher!) Entrees--I had the roast goat and my wife had the pork and clams. The goat had great flavor--but there was less than 4 oz actual meat, was gristly and boney. Accompanied with a pile of awesome roast potatoes and a risotto. The pork and clams was outrageously delicious except the pork was waaay overcooked. Bummed there was no octopus, and no espresso. Passed on the dessert as the ingredients looked inferior. ( Artificial, packaged puddings, whipped cream, etc)
google avatar

Tinghong Y.

Yelp
It was a OK restaurant. If you do not expect anything but a taste of Portuguese cuisine, this is the choice.

Yelp
This place is always been a favorite when I could actually leave the house and sit and dine in. I like to start with the chorizo and I pretty much always get a steak, and the Portuguese potatoes - mmmmmm! I've enjoyed everything I have ever eaten here. And now I can't remember exactly what it's called or how to spell it (sorry Melanie) but the dip for the bread - I could live off of that. Literally have gotten it to go, or requested my parents bring me some when they go for dinner. The bacalhau is delicious! Anyway, last night my dad went and grabbed us take out and it was so nice to have a delicious comforting meal. The potatoes were as good as ever. My steak is soooo tender it's melting in my mouth (currently eating leftovers - it's so good I try to control myself and save some for later to make it last) and it makes quarantine seem a little more normal. My pup was extremely jealous - eventually I caved and gave her a bite - a SMALL bite. Check them out now for takeout, and go grab a table when the world returns to normal. It is worth the wait if it's crowded. I promise.

Michele H.

Yelp
This place is always packed for a reason! Great shrimp, rice and veggies. Big portion great flavors and consistently great. I'm a big fan! You definitely get your moneys worth!

Yelp
Went Portuguese for dinner, and I'm surprised at myself that this is my first time. This was a small family restaurant in what looked like a large living room. Nice hearty conversation, friendly service, great food! Rhode Island, so I had to have some shellfish - Littleneck clams steamed in a white wine and garlic sauce. Ordered my entree more for the fries than anything else. Bife a Casa - Pan-seared sirloin steak in a beer and garlic sauce served with French fries, fried egg, and rice. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because my steak was over cooked.

Yelp
So far so good! Parking on the street for our Bobtail! The owner came and told us the specials for the day. Must have been about 6-7 of them. Then a very nice bread basket appeared with small loaf and crustinis with a wonderful onion cilantro and lime sauce in a small bowl with a spoon. Omg we ate all the bread!! And that sauce is to die for!! Ok I ordered the Octopus on special with potato's. Let me tell u... to die for. It was sooooo tender and flavorful WOW!!!! Heard that it's Friday only , the Octopus and Smelt. I would love that for my LAST meal!!! Bf had the pan fried Sea Bass with potato. We shared. And let me tell u they were both exceptionally delicious!! We asked for some more bread too. Omg died and went to heaven good. Just like being in someone's kitchen in Portugal !! And u have to have a cappachinno after!

Yelp
The only reason I give this absolutely consistently amazing place 4 stars is cause on Friday or weekends they are very busy and you can wait a good while. But honestly that has to the with the intimate size of the place. It isn't very large, it doesn't have a lot of parking and that can mean a long wait. Those are the only negatives, now the positives. Basically everything else, the servers are kind and welcoming. The food is reasonably priced with huge portions. The taste of the sauces are out of this world. I mean I've been coming here for over 10 years and I'm certain the loyal customers that reside in the area have been going there even longer. I highly recommend it for a romantic date, friends or even a large party. Now they take reservations for parties larger than 8. Go and enjoy the food. It's freaking good.

Mick ..

Yelp
We've always seen a line at this place, and never had the opportunity to go in. Well, last week we did... Excellent Portuguese food.

Yelp
Small family business with great food and a pleasant atmosphere. They have daily specials and live entertainment as well. Great place all around!

Yelp
We enjoy good seafood, and I've had one of the best seafood dishes in Portugal. We found an authentic Portuguese restaurant in RI while traveling, and with raving reviews, we were excited try this spot. For appetizer, we ordered littleneck steamed in a white wine and garlic sauce. It was nice and spicy! The sauce was great with the bread to soak it up...well, until the crazy amount of salt hit me. It was way too salty for me. It would have been perfect if it wasn't so salty, which was a shame. For main, we both ordered Bacalhau na Brasa, grilled salted cod. First of all, it took forever to come out. It took so long that the staff asked us if we already finished eating and were waiting for our check... We waited almost ONE HOUR for this dish, which was ridiculous... I've had this dish at a few Portuguese restaurants, and also in Portugal. Never waited one hour for it. We saw all the other customers who came in after us getting their food. I wonder if they forgot to put in our order??? The cod was HUGE, super plump and tasty, but it was really salty again. I expected salted cod to be salty, but not this salty... After the meal, we ordered Cappuccino, which came with mountain of whipped cream. It was a dessert on its own, and really good coffee! This was a delight, the only item that I actually really enjoyed. The staffs here were welcoming, warm and friendly. It was a nice atmosphere, but the food didn't meet my expectation... The cod was not worth waiting one hour for, it was a good thing we were not in a rush...

Yelp
So... my family and I just left dinner at this restaurant and I absolutely felt like I needed to write this review before we drove off. First off, I was watching Andrew Zimmern's "Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations" when this restaurant flashed across the screen. Immediately I said to myself that we have to try this place ASAP. He specifically spoke of their "amazing" octopus dish that was only available on Friday's. I called to reserve my own dish of octopus for the upcoming Friday because according to the show... it was not to be missed. Also, in the show he spoke of and showcased the owner/manager creating a warm and welcoming vibe for all of their guests. Naturally, I couldn't wait to come and experience it all. Fast forward to this evening... my children and I walk-in and were greeted by the most uncomfortable stares by both the guests and the same owner/manager that was showcased on the show. Being that the restaurant was busy, I figured it was a one off and that maybe she would be more hospitable as the evening progressed. We watched her visit every table in the restaurant to stop and speak to her patrons but not once did she stop at ours to say a word or even acknowledge our table. It didn't take us very long to determine why she never stopped by or acknowledged us. We were the only African-American family in the restaurant. In 2021, this is very disparaging and just flat out NOT okay. There are no excuses for this kind of behavior. The food was subpar and underwhelming. The shrimp appetizer dish we ordered was over cooked and we had to send it back. The actual octopus dish that we reserved was also over cooked but well seasoned strangely enough. The one star that I did give, was solely for our waitress and the servers. They were actually quite awesome and made the situation less horrific. Just an FYI guys- We black people deserve the same warmth and hospitality as your other paying customers.

Yelp
The tuna belly stew is delicious! We tried three desserts and loved them all. Highly recommend! The staff is lovely.

Yelp
Most authentic spot for Portuguese food in East Providence in my opinion. From the language spoken throughout the smallish place to the decor and of course the amazing cuisine, makes this well known restaurant unique. Give yourself time to enjoy your experience, this is not a place to go if your in a hurry, think Portugal time but in a good way. Try whatever you think you might like, everything will taste great! Try something outside of your comfort zone, maybe whatever they have on special for an app is always a good to try something different. I always try a fish special, if they have octopus I would go for it, or fried smelts, seriously everything is delicious.

Yelp
This place exceeded my group's expectations. The food was fantastic, authentic, and left us craving for more. Our waitress was a delight, full of life, and a true character. Maria, I believe, was her name and she was soo warm and hysterical. If I am ever back in providence, I will make it a mission to come back here and enjoy another authentic Portuguese meal.

Yelp
Stopped in for a meal before the NCAA Lacrosse Tournament game since I heard it was one of the best Portuguese restaurants in Providence and it did not disappoint. I got the carne de porco alentejana which was perfectly seasoned, and I almost couldn't stop eating despite the hefty portion size. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive, I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Incredible, flavorful food, cozy dining room, friendly and attentive staff. This restaurant has a local, well loved feel and people that are passionate about the delicious food they serve. Reasonable prices too. We wanted to take the sauce for the bread to go, and our waitress brought out a huge thing of it, free of charge. This is the kind of place that makes you feel like you're coming home. We will be back!

Yelp
Excellent option for Portuguese cuisine. It's hard to find Portuguese food where I live so this was a real treat for me given my family background. The blue tile decor brought back memories from my time in the motherland. The service is friendly and familiar. It's clearly a close-knit neighborhood haunt. The soup was hearty and perfect for dipping the table bread in. I ordered the Bacalhau na Brasa which is salted cod with boiled potatoes. It was so good! A huge piece of fish that's well seasoned and swimming in olive oil. It's also covered in onions, olives and garlic. Delicious! You'll leave full. I'm so glad we made the trip to East Providence for dinner.

Yelp
Enjoy eating here throughout the years. This is your typical hole in the wall Portuguese restaurant that makes great food. They get busy alot and it can be tough to get a seat if you have a large party. Food is all super flavorful and drowning in sauce so if you do not like sauce do not even go here. Great local spot. Great prices and plenty of food you will not leave hungry.
