Lovely hidden gem in the heart of a quiet village. The ambiance is cozy, and though there’s a bit of a wait, the delicious traditional appetizers make it completely worth it. Perfect spot for those seeking an authentic and peaceful dining experience! Recommend doing a trail after lunch, there are some really nice walks near by.

The steak was completely inedible just like a car tire, they bring to the table a tasting of spreads but do not state that it is not included in the price but extra and at the end they also inform that it is not possible to pay by credit card.

Great restaurant, even better service! Something special in their homemade lemon butter, their Chanfana is just exquisite too!

This is a nice place! The woman who runs the restaurant made great recommendations and speaks fluent English, which was helpful to us as foreigners. We particularly enjoyed the cod and the trout. The prices are reasonable, especially for the wine.

The goat stew is really tender and tasty. The side dish potato and broccoli are good with the sauce. The local beers are recommended. The price is very reasonable.

Portuguese comfort food. Everything we need to be happy and this place does it in a perfect way. Totally recommend!

Excellent meal. We ordered the bread with cheese and chorizo for an appetizer. The Chanfana a Fontina (slow cooked goat meat that was fork tender with potatoes and broccoli) and the Bucho de Porco Recheado (as best as I can describe...a large pork sausage/chorizo type thing sliced with home made French fries) for our dinners. I got the goat and it was amazeballs. I tried the other dish which, to be honest, I didn't love but that's because I don't like cumin. My date absolutely loved his meal. He was legit doing a little happy dance in his chair. We also ordered the soup to share. A simple vegetable soup with cabbage in it. I loved it. It was hearty and flavorful without being salty. I'm from the US and a lot of our soups have way too much salt. This was perfect. The menu is in Portuguese and English. The prices are very good for the amount of food you get. I was so full I couldn't order dessert. Which makes me sad. Wish we were here another night so I could rate their dessert as well. But a great place to have a meal in a beautiful location. 10/10, highly recommend.
