O Forninho Da Afurada

Our company of four people had a lovely lunch on the terrace of O Farinho da Afurada in the cute fisherman's village Vila Nova de Gaia. We enjoyed some very fresh fish and squid (robalo) straight from the outside grill. The food was not fancy at all, served with a slice of lemon and some potatoes. I do recommend ordering some extra veggies, because they are not included in the dish. The fresh fish is clearly the star here. The sardines, the sea bream and the squid were all excellent. And the price for the main course was very reasonable. We payed 15.50 for a very royal portion of sardines.

Wonderful to experience, great food, great wine, great service. Easy going environment and I suggest you stop by the bar!

We really enjoyed our dinner here. We sat at one of the tables on the sidewalk which was nice aside from the occasional person going in and out the door behind us. We ordered the grilled garlic shrimp for an appetizer (not pictured, we were too hungry and forgot to take a photo). The shrimp were large and tasty. I enjoyed them and shrimp is not my favorite. I ordered the salmon and my husband had the dourada. We ordered a side of sautéed vegetables to share. Everything was good and cooked just right.

Beautifully fresh seafood. Service was very good. A warning - placed on the table - octopus salad €9, cheese €2.50, olives €2,50 and bread €2 are great though costly and if you eat any of it you will be charged. You could ask them to remove whatever you do not wish to eat.

Celebrated my wife’s birthday yesterday and it was just an amazing experience. The staff and people eating there joined us to wish which created such an emotional atmosphere. Thank you everyone and stay blessed.

Fresh fish 🐟 grilled in front of you on a grill. Very friendly stuff who can recommend you a suitable food. We had sea bass for 2 and it was delicious, it included a portion of potatoes and vegetable plate. Sangria went well with it. It is in a calm fisherman neighborhood with little tourists. We enjoyed it. I can only recommend

Beautiful fresh fish and seafood on the menu, big servings also. Cosy and warm ambience and such helpful service. Great watching the fish cooked on the coals outside. Highly recommend!

Stopped here by chance when visiting the fishing village and so happy with our choice. Food was delicious , very good prices and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant matches the local towns vibe I had the sea brim and it was stunning, definetly recommend stopping here
