O Laranjeira | Pensão Restaurante

What a delightful Pension!! It’s clean and centrally located. The food was delicious and very well prepared. The waitress as well as the owner were amazing and so very helpful with menu suggestions. Would definitely recommend for a full Portuguese experience.

We had the pleasure of staying at Pensão O Laranjeira for one night. The room was clean and well maintained and the staff was great. Excellent water pressure in the shower. We also ate at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast that was included with our stay was very good and very filling. Dinner was excellent all around and I highly recommend that you try this place. Food was delicious, the atmosphere was very nice and service was good.

Fantastic service and hospitality! They went above and beyond to help me. Happily willing to accommodate food allergies, given advance notice. There was not one thing about my stay here that was anything but easy and delightful. They set the bar high!

If you need a good restaurant on a Monday night, this is the one! Delicious soups and entrees, well recommended wine. Kind service. Located near the main plaza, placa da republica, so very centrally located. So glad they were open when most restaurants are closed! Lovely experience.

We stayed at the hotel above the restaurant on our Camino de Santiago. The rooms are nice and the host is excellent. The location is great also, as it is located downtown.

Really enjoyed their seafood, accompanied by a delicious vino verde and all at very reasonable prices. Pro tip: order their home made mayonaise if you choose chips as a side dish, it’s delicious. Very kind and welcoming people too!
