Restaurante Mira

I have visited this restaurant three times in three weeks! The service is is impressive and the staff pays attention to details. The food is amazing! You must try the seafood platter! I will definitely be back and tell everyone I meet about this place!

Worst experience ever in any restaurant! First of all, the first lady was rude and wanted to rush us to take our order. When it was time to order, the other guy wasn’t able to clearly tell us their specialties on the menu. The food was horrible, the codfish did not taste anything at all and was soaking in olive oil. Same thing for the fried steak, there was so much oil on the plate, it was disgusting and it was a suggestion by the waiter. The fries was cold as well. At least the waiter acknowledged our disappointment and told the manager that we did not have a good experience. They asked us what happened and offered us a small discount. When it was time to pay, I had a choice to pay in my currency or euro. I selected euro and gave the machine to the manager. After, there was a choice between accepting the conversion or not. I told the manager that I wanted the option 2, but when I got the bill I was charged in another currency with extra fees. I tried to explain to him, but he just decided to leave. What a way to deal with client when there is a problem.

The fish was fantastic! We had the grilled cod, a burger, shellfish...all very good and decent cost. Great service as well!

Me and my beautiful wife decided to visit Restaurant O Mira because they are conventionally located around the corner from where we reside. We were greeted by a nice young man, and by a gentleman who quickly informed us that they had little fire?!? We’ll call him 🔥 We are seated and the young gentleman asked if we wanted starters. Neither me nor my wife speak Portuguese yet, but we are trying to pick up little words here and there. 🔥heard us talking and soon after he began to serve us and sent the young man away. Like the young man left! 🔥recommended something totally different than what we originally asked for, but hey when in Portugal, try the recommendations. Food arrived and we ate our meal. My wife had the tuna steak entree with cabbage and boiled potatoes and I had some sort of fish (grilled- lightly fried) with the same sides and we both enjoyed a Gin and Tonic. Towards the end of our meal, 🔥checked on us and began to make small talk. Here’s why I gave this restaurant 5 stars….🔥assumed that we were tourist. It was very odd that he asked us if we wanted to take our leftovers with us. No one has ever asked us if we wanted to take home scraps, but it’s cool I’ll take it! When we told him that we were not tourist he seemed to be really surprised, almost shocked. I don’t know what I did but right after his vibe changed. It was time for the check and too my “surprise “ what we originally asked for would have cost us roughly €30 max, but what was recommended to us came out to €79,84. So that was pretty disappointing. We’ve been in country for quite a few days and that was the most expensive meal we’ve had here! Eating in Cascais and other similar cities that we’ve visited hadn’t been that much for us. Turned out to be a real bummer for us both, but hey, I hope the restaurant much success and love. To 🔥 you really should do better and not take advantage of people, particularly people who are vulnerable. We really wanted to support this restaurant because we are neighbors but can’t recommend this place.

Great service and decent food. The steak I ate had good flavour but was raw in the middle.

Love this restaurant. Great steaks, great seafood, wonderful people and good drinks. Not to mention a lovely view. Highly recommend the Mira Style Steak / Bife Awesome!

I love this place with seafood and fresh fish. One of the best cafe near the Sao Pedro Estoril ocean beach.

We went late before closure and the menu had very limited options left (which they didn’t declare till we sat down). We ordered Golden Bream and shrimp (the only things they had in the menu at this time) with sautéed vegetables and white rice as a side order. Fish was very fresh and soft, would have been perfect except that both fish and shrimp were very salty while the vegetables and white rice were bland and kind of tasteless. Service was very nice and staff was hospitable and friendly. Not sure we would go again if we visit the area again.
