We were looking for a nice authentic restaurant for a meal out in Sorrento. We were so happy we have picked this place. Staff were welcoming and friendly and we got a great table in the shade but with a lovely view out onto the water. Food was excellent - the best meal we had in Sorrento - with perfectly cooked and presented fish and seafood. Drinks were really good value. The service was what stood out - our orders were taken promptly and plates cleared as required but we were left to just enjoy the view for as long as we liked - and the cheeky limoncellos at the end were the best close to the lunch. This restaurant didn't seem as full as the one across the way but all the families in with us were Italian which is always a good sign and created an authentic ambience. Highly recommend.

We scored a nice table by the dock when we arrived around 2PM. Place has a welcoming seaside vibe. Luigi and Antonio were friendly and provided efficient service. We had grilled octopus which was perfectly grilled and seasoned, fried calamari that was lightly breaded and tender to the bite, and eggplant parm that was uber delicious as well. Thank you for a memorable afternoon meal in Sorrento! 😊

Good: We asked to move to the front of the water and a table was prepared very quick. The house white wine was good. The location is very very nice can't be beaten. Our starters were both good.
Bad: Was really disappointed our mains, it was not up to standard. The octopus was like rubber, came out cold and didn't seem to be very fresh.
However, what most ruined our dinner was our service. It was slow. For example had to ask for the bill over 4 times, the server said yes each time and then would stand and do nothing. We think it was to make the restaurant look busier than it was, as next door is always very busy. Some people were paying at the table, I was then told to go inside to pay. Then the man inside shouted at me and said to pay at the table. I ended up going back and forth several times until I said that I would leave without paying... suddenly a bill was presented.
We also overheard an inappropriate joke made to 2 customers from Israel/Palestine, asking them if they had "ran here" from the war. They were clearly offended and made the whole space awkward. We felt very sorry for them. They also complained about undercooked food during their dinner.
I see they have a thing about claiming reviews to be fake so I attach our booking, food and table setting (which was lovely, hence 2 stars).
Looks like the restaurant next door would be the much better option.

Quick: unfortunately, I had a bad experience. Bad food, mediocre service.
I really wanted to like this restaurant with the beautiful views, great reviews and fresh foods but I did not. I came on a Tuesday at 7:45pm (19:45). I made a reservation but it was not needed. After 20:15, a line started to form. It did not seem like they were following a reservation system though as they were just trying to fill all the tables they could and did not reserve any. I saw a group come up with a reservation and had to wait since there were no tables.
Food was overall not good. Starting off, the Gnocchi wasn’t that great. It was soft and had a unique flavor, but it was very doughy. The dough stuck to the top of my mouth. The seafood risotto wasn’t really a risotto, in my opinion. It was too dry to be a risotto. The rice was also not cooked well. It was undercooked and many pieces were still very hard in the center. The seafood portion was good and tasted fresh. Moving on, the calamari and fried shrimp was not good. Many pieces were VERY overly salted. Furthermore, the texture was off and it just didn’t taste good. Disappointing dish. The fish of the day (red snapper) was wonderful. Tasted fresh and had a delicious tomato flavor. It was cooked nicely and was very soft. But, the scales on the skin kind of made the dish unpleasant. After each bite, I was spitting out splinters. This is where I prefer a sear or to remove the scales from the fish.
Service was also lacking. It seemed that they had one person taking orders and the rest of the people were taking food out and helping with basic things like getting more water. Maybe someone took off and they were understaffed. I would’ve taken the guy at front stopping people and telling them why they should eat here and make him help with orders instead. I could tell everyone was working hard but the service just wasn’t that great. I stopped one of the guys and he rushed to tell me to talk to someone else and gave me a name of someone I had no idea who he was. Later on we finally got someone to get our order.
Overall, I can’t recommend this place and had a bad experience. Mainly the food being the reason. Service was okay, and I can handle that but the food just wasn’t good.

I’m honestly baffled by all the positive reviews because the food here is embarrassingly bad—easily the worst meal I’ve had in a long time. I’m furious with myself for falling into this tourist trap! While the setting is indeed pleasant and relaxing, the food is an absolute disaster.
I ordered the bruschetta, gnocchi, and penne pomodoro, and all three dishes were terrible. The bruschetta was served on the thickest bread imaginable, and it was so dry it was almost inedible. The pasta? What a joke! It had zero flavor. They literally just tossed some supermarket penne with cherry tomatoes and served it up—no salt, no pepper, no seasoning at all. And the gnocchi? That was on a whole other level of awful. It was clearly store-bought and drowned in a bland mixture of melted cheese and tomato sauce, which they didn’t even bother to cook properly.
In summary, the food is trash—utter rubbish and a complete waste of money and time. However, I must give credit where it’s due: Antonio was the only saving grace. He was the one person who treated us with genuine kindness and provided decent service. Thank you, Antonio!
My advice: If you’re still tempted to try this place, take a moment to walk around and observe the dishes being served to tables. You’ll quickly realize that dining here is a mistake.

Wonderful gnocchi, one of the best pastas I've had, and amazing fresh sea food. One of the best restaurants we enjoyed in Italy. Service was very good! You have to order the sea bass - it was phenomenal. Every dish we had was very good. This location is right on the water.

The food is absolutely amazing. I ordered the grilled octopus which was perfectly cooked and presented on a bed of potatoes. Stunning cuisine! Friendly service! Beautiful views of the Marina Grande and Bay of Naples. Also, there were very cute miniature fishing nets on the tables as ornaments.

This place was truly mamma-miaingly amazing, with a romantic atmosphere backlit by the beautiful hues of a Sorrento sunset. The climb down the stairs to Marina Grande is truly not wasted.
Waiters are friendly and attentive, and Antonio (imagine an Italian George Michael) was kind enough to give us a bottle of wine for free after our second visit on the second night. Be aware that wait times can be long especially if you get a table after 7pm during summer, so don’t listen to those negative reviews left by other inconsiderate people who probably think the world revolves around them.
The seafood was one of the best we have had in our two week travel to Italy - the swordfish, octopus and mussel soup are simply amazing. It might not be the best in Sorrento, but the combination of good service, excellent food and beautiful atmosphere will memorialise this place in my heart.
Will definitely come back here if I ever visit the Amalfi Coast again.
