Whether you’re celebrating something big or just want a great dinner out, O Steaks & Seafood hits the mark. The atmosphere walks that perfect line between upscale and comfortable—modern without being cold, with just the right touch of New England charm. The steaks are top-tier: beautifully seared, cooked exactly to order, and full of flavor. But don’t sleep on the seafood—the scallops are buttery and tender, and the lobster mac and cheese is downright indulgent. Portion sizes are generous, and the plating is elegant without being fussy. Cocktail menu? Strong. Wine list? Thoughtfully curated. Service? Friendly, attentive, and always professional. They make you feel taken care of without hovering. Whether you’re at the bar for apps and drinks or settling in for a full multi-course meal, O always brings its A-game. Five stars for quality, consistency, and a dining experience that feels genuinely special.

Beautiful water view, seated outdoors! Professional but friendly staff and delicious appetizers and dinner! The fresh halibut and mussels special was cooked to perfection. Spent 1.5 hours enjoying my family and delicious food! We will be back soon!

Went once to see what all the hoopla was about, not satisfied w/the entire experience! I could tell right away as soon as I sat down that the staff in this place was more concerned on judging their customers instead of trying to accommodate their customers wishes and take care of their customers. Very obvious the staff would rather gather in a corner or in the back room and chit chat regarding how challenging their life is having to work in such a sweat shop and deal with paying customers who earn good wages and can afford such meals yet in reality the staff is more concerned about their own miserable lives!

We came in for a cute date night. Our server was fantastic and full of energy. We had a the shrimp and the gyoza for the apps and they were lovely, shrimp were huge (!). For the mains I had a ceaser salad with salmon and my partner had the fish special. It was all really excellent but his huge slab of fish was definitely not cooked all the way through. Same for my salmon. No seasoning as well. Overall very good but for the price it should have been perfect.

Google
I liked the place very much. Great atmosphere great drinks good service. Couple things were lacking. The cauliflower side wasn't cooked. Still raw and crunchy. I also didn't care for the way my steak was prepared. Very charred on outside. Not the usual steak house steak. We had a good time overall.

Google
This was an acceptable place. The only issue we had was my friend's steak was extremely overcooked. After re-cooking it and standing over him while he cuts it to make sure it was to his liking. They did not offer to discount or remove the steak from the bill. I finished my complete meal before he got his. The bartenders were extremely friendly.

Google
This place is amazing, the service was great , the atmosphere was wonderful the martinis were great but the greatest of all was the 38 oz tomahawk prime rib steak for two. By far one of the best cuts of meat that I have ever eaten . Cooked to perfection and unbelievable flavors . My wife and myself couldn't even finish half of it and both got another meal out of it. I would highly recommend if you go to do yourself a favor and order this remarkable dish . I'm still full three weeks later lol . Enjoy

Google
This dinner started great, french onion soup and the POP meatballs we're very good... Unfortunately the "computers" messed up our order and it took us an hr or more to get our main course. I wasn't really disappointed with this as we got the free dessert! What really let us down was my bland steak that was nearly 50 dollars and a couple of fruit flies that lingered at our table for the entire 2.5 hours we mainly spent waiting for the food. I'm sure normally this place would be a 5 star review easy, but for us, it just missed the mark.

Yelp
Ally was awesome! Kind, efficient, her timing was impeccable! She met all of our needs without being pushy . Very professional.

Yelp
Stopped by after 8:30 with no reservations and 7 in our party during Laconia's 100th Motorcycle week. They were able to accommodate us haggard, rugged looking bikers who rode all day in the cold and rain in the am then baked in the sun all afternoon. Mind you we still had to drive an hour away to our lodging. Service was fast, our server was excellent and gave us those warm bread with the tasty butter. My friend got the tomahawk steak and was surprised at the bill since he was too distracted to hear the price of the special in the beginning. The sirloin tips were nicely marinated and for me, the addition of the blue cheese elevated my steak. Overall, a nicer dinner for us that day. The ambiance of the place is nice and gorgeous especially facing the sunset!! Great place for a dinner date.

Yelp
For a few dollars more you get an impeccable meal, worth every penny, Highly recommend!

Yelp
I don't typically think of hotel restaurants as great dining options, but O certainly proved me wrong. We were staying at the hotel for one night and decided to try it out - and I'm glad we did. The food and cocktails were delicious and the portions were generous. I especially liked our server who was attentive and funny. The complimentary garlic bread in a bag was another huge highlight - it was so good! One thing to note is that a couple of the menu items we asked for weren't actually offered, and according to our server, never are. For example - the truffle cheddar upgrade isn't actually available for the burger and the creme brûlée is always vanilla despite being described as the chef's rotating selection. Overall, it was a lovely dinner at a decent price point. I'd definitely recommend stopping in!

Yelp
We normally do not go out on Holidays. But it was our 20th wedding anniversary and our daughters surprised us with reservations and paid for our night out. Our first time here, went in and the host & Hostess were wonderful and nice! We were seated given menus, seating we had was rather well not the best, we are full sized people. We asked to be moved to give our waiter more room to maneuver. They happily moved us a table over. It was a 5 course prefixed meal, I had the Chicken satay , green mixed salad w/ candied walnuts and cranberry's and blue cheese & apples w/ vinaigrette Then I had prime rib , Brussels sprouts & bacon & agrautin potatoes, Creme brûlée Every thing was perfect! Husband had Tuna , Cesar salad , the Lamb shank w/ mashed and creamed spinach, said all was amazing! And our waiter Matt & his mom are awesome ! Thank you for a wonderful night!

Yelp
We have had so many great experiences here in the last three years! We almost always sit in the bar area--so much more of a fun vibe and the wait staff and bartenders are professional and friendly! O's filet minon is absolutely the best and their sides rock! Lobster Mac is phenomenal, but a little goes a long way/so rich. Lovely setting!

Sean D.

Yelp
Tender, juicy, and mouthwateringly masticable. One of the best steaks I've had and I've had 'em all over the world. Five Stars, will definitely return next time I'm back up in Lakeport.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Much like the Concord location I expected something more. We went tapas style which I prefer. Our salads stole the show and were delicious. The Wagyu O Pops were over cooked with a bland sauce. Loved the potstickers. The kung pao chicken was weirdly deep fried with the slightest hint of spice. Pepsi products to boot . Our waitress was lovely! Very nice and attentive. Food should be better to match the atmosphere.

Mark S.

Yelp
Meatloaf is killer . Always good service and bartenders are top notch. Sit outside for a great sunset!

Yelp
"O" MG. I just had one of the most delicious meals I have ever enjoyed in the state of New Hampshire. The Arctic Char special was other-worldly. It was prepared with a blanket of grilled cherry tomatoes, onions (I think?), fresh basil slivers and a robust balsamic reduction (plus there had to be a generous supply of butter in the roulade.) It was exceptional. I insisted the stranger two seats over from me at the bar order it. Unreal. Perfectly prepared, tender, juicy, downright succulent filet of Char. I have had the good fortune of enjoying several fish specials at O's. This one was the most special. It was accompanied by the super service and cheer of "B" behind the bar, who led a group at the bar in an entertaining exploration of each dudes' all-time favorite ice cream brands and flavors. Great time had by all. Highly, highly recommend. Always give consideration to the seafood special.

Graham P.

Yelp
Had a fantastic second time here with the family. Waitress was attentive and friendly, steaks and meatloaf were well cooked and delicious. I would say only downside is it is a little pricey for NH, but still good :)

Roxanne L.

Yelp
Excellent service, and amazing food tonight! One of the best places around in Concord! The lobster escargot was phenomenal as was the prime ribeye and other yummy sides. The menu was perfect for any type of dinner with lots of great choices...ambience & pricing just right.

Mike W.

Yelp
The male host (bald guy) was flamboyantly rude when asking to move to another table or lower a shade outside when there were several open tables on the patio in the shade. The guys was Bobbing his head like a chicken and making hand movements when I asked with the judgyiest of faces and attitude. Terrible first impression and even worst customer service. I noticed others complained on here about him also. Be Better O Steaks. Side note the flies on the patio are brutal and the waitress even joked about them. You have to eat quickly before they land and ruin your meal.

Mark S.

Yelp
Went in with my son for dinner while in town. We walk in and the manager states that they do not have enough dishes for walk ins due to a broken dishwasher. Not sure if the manager realizes that dishes have been cleaned by hand for generations prior to the invent of a automated dishwasher. I made light of it with my son, but the fact that you would turn away a patron because of this shows poor management. We will not be returning in the future.

Yelp
O Steaks & Seafood is considered at the high end of Lakes Region dining and it lived up to our high expectations. Reservations are necessary and they are now expecting a $50 deposit with your reservation, which is reasonable given the demand. There is seating both inside and out on a lovely patio overlooking lovely Lake Opechee. I heard you can sit at the small bar on a walk-in basis but don't count on that being available very often. We had chosen inside and it's a lovely setting for dining. Our server was very friendly, proactive and accommodating. I would have expected a much wider micro-brew selection but the wine choices were much better and priced about right for this type of restaurant. I had the Prime NY Strip and it was delicious and cooked as ordered. Others had the Tomahawk Pork Chop which was massive and fantastic; a Caesar salad with garlic shrimp added and Orange Chicken. I continue to recommend O Steaks & Seafood.

Yelp
I have been here several times over the years s. Fancy and overpriced. holiday dinner with family, steak over cooked and cold, they made new one and it was rare and the marinade on steak tips made me sick to my stomach. So waitress took my plate and gave me discount, discount on food i couldn't consume because it wasn't cooked. type one diabetic didn't get dinner but my family had a good laugh at me

Bill M.

Yelp
Great steaks and atmosphere. Surprised server didn't know what single malt scotch was when we asked what the options were, and could have sworn she rolled her eyes when we asked if she could bring us a list.

Evan A.

Yelp
Christina was great for our company outing. Very helpful and kind. If you stop in to this establishment please request Christina, you won't regret it!

Connor N.

Yelp
I love the place but I wish they had their old chicken fingers back. I like them nice and crispy.

Chip B.

Yelp
I have had some great meals here and some not so great experiences here. It is positioned to be one of the best atmospheres in the lakes region. They always seem to be short staffed, and we all know what Covid has done to the service industry. I keep hoping that my next meal here will be the best

Trinity G.

Yelp
The food and atmosphere were great but the service...was EXCELLENT! Kathy was our server and she was fantastic! Attentive, engaging, funny, and just all around great! We would come back just to see her! Our steaks were cooked perfectly. Everything was fresh and delicious! We will be back for sure!

Mike R.

Yelp
Great Night to sit outside but claims no help ! If u don't have the staff maybe u should not be open!

Kevin D.

Yelp
Excellent food. Really good service for a last minute walk-in on motorcycle weekend. Nicely appointed.

Mary G.

Yelp
Food is amazing! Service is great and the ambience is fun and modern. My steak was temped perfectly, sides were great and the bread was amazing! Will definitely be going back.

Aaron R.

Yelp
The food was great and the service from Norah was excellent. She was kind and had great knowledge of the menu and made incredible suggestions for dinner, drinks and desserts. Unlike most of the wait staff, she was and had a great energy for the job. We had two drinks each including appetizers, entrees and sides as well. Things took a turn as it was approaching closing time of 9pm which we found to be ridiculous and the other wait staff and management started to stare at us in the hopes that we would leave. We were staying in the attached hotel and let our server-Norah know of this. She suggested a dessert and we asked for an after dinner - expresso martini. She stated that we made a great choice and she went to get them. At that point, an older disheveled man approached our table stating that HE was the manager and that we were not allowed a 3rd cocktail. We reiterated that we were staying in the hotel however he showed no care nor interest. Norah then approached our table fully apologizing for the interference which we knew was not her fault. We then asked for our check and at this point the we noticed the, "manager" and the much older wait staff glaring right at us. It was extremely rude and uncomfortable! They must have wanted to go to bed as they looked like they needed a ton of beauty sleep. I recommend going from 4-6pm. Norah - Great A Job: Other staff: Rude and disrespectful.

Yelp
We reserved the outdoor patio a day in advance, as it seems difficult to get a seat without a reservation. I'd definitely recommend eating outside for dinner, weather permitting; the view is beautiful and it's especially so at sunset. I ordered the ahi tuna, which overall I enjoyed very much. The tuna was great and I liked the shrimp fried rice, which had a nice variety of vegetables in it. The "tempura asparagus" is just a piece of deep fried asparagus but tasted good anyway. The dish also comes with something they call kimchi, although I'd describe it more as pickled coleslaw. It tasted fine, but again I wouldn't consider it to be kimchi. My dad ordered a 12 oz steak, but it was well done instead of medium rare. It seemed to us like the dish had been left out for too long and had cooked through the inside before it reached us. Our waiter was very gracious and informed the kitchen. We were offered a free dessert and got the chocolate lava cake with extra ice cream. We were warned that the place was short-staffed and our waiter was great all things considered, but our dishes did take a while to come out. The lava cake was lukewarm rather than piping hot as you'd expect, so we figured it was a matter of the waiter being too busy. Overall solid food with a fantastic view of the lake.

Yelp
Incredibly disappointed!!! My cousin had been dying to go to O because of all of the good things she heard about it...so we decided to go there for her birthday. Well, it was NOT the birthday dinner we had hoped for or heard it would be. To begin with, our waitress made us feel like we were annoying her. After a couple of interactions, she seemed to shake off her mood...but not until after we had to ask her what the specials were and try to joke with her a bit. The appetizers were good, but the steaks were HORRENDOUS!! Over cooked, Charred beyond belief and inedible...so we sent them back...and p.s. we never do that! They brought the steaks back and said it's probably the lighting, they are cooked as you asked. Well, we asked for Medium - because their menu indicates that means warm with pink center...NOT the case, they were WELL DONE and covered in CHAR! Oh and when they brought the plates back a few of the steak tips looked like they had been through a shredder! We were astonished. The manager said it's hard to cook steak tips because they are all different sizes. Is he serious???? You are a steak house! At that point they asked if we wanted something else, so we decided to try the Salmon. Salmon was ok, not great...and one of my cousins said she would just eat the baked potato (the side from her steak)...I mention that because in the end, they removed the 3 steak meals from the tab, but still charged us for the baked potato (and the 2 Salmon meals). I am okay with them charging us for the Salmon meals, we did eat them, but did they have to charge for the potato ($8). The icing on the cake was that the manager never came back to see how the Salmon was or anything...didn't even insist on sending us a complimentary dessert!! I just think it is a shame....terrible service recovery...needless to say we will NOT be going back!

Helen H.

Yelp
Request for reservation not honored. Meat was overdone. Service ok but ambience was too loud.

Mary F.

Yelp
We chose O's for a significant anniversary dinner. We were underwhelmed and disappointed in a heretofore favorite restaurant is an understatement. Although the food was very good, not outstanding but very good, our experience was dulled by mediocre service in what O's wants to be - a four or five star restaurant. When we first arrived and notified the person at them greeting desk of our reservation and could we have a table outside we were immediately told no and then he seated a party behind us (think they were walk ins) first, leaving us just kind of standing there. It was rude. No plates for the warm bread served at sit down. So crumbs on the table. Then we had to request small dishes for our shared giant shrimp appetizer. When our shared (quite large and delicious) salad arrived, we had to request serving utensils and clean dishes again - for our salad. Clean dishes and utensils were brought but our dirty appetizer dishes were left on the table. When our entrees and sides were brought the baked potato was just plunked down mid table, not close to my husband who ordered it. My side - cauliflower au gratin - was set down mid table - no checking to see whose side it was - and no spoon for spooning from serving dish to plate. Dirty salad plates were left on the table - as we ate our dinner. The wait person never asked if we wanted our drinks refreshed. She never smiled or interacted in any way. She never learned we were celebrating a fifty plus anniversary. Perhaps too upset to be serving a two person party? An older couple? Mad at the boss and taking it out on us? You want to be a Five Star restaurant? Train staff. Send them to Five Star places to observe and learn. Make Every customer feel special. Seat people where they want to be seated no matter, If at all possible. Clear dirty dishes as a course is finished. Supply clean dishes as needed for each course. Supply serving utensils as needed. Provide salt and pepper. Ask if drinks need to be refreshed. Smile. Interact as is appropriate. Avoid Ageism. It says nothing about the customer but a tremendous amount about who YOU are as a restaurant.

Frank H.

Yelp
Long time fan of O steaks but the last couple visits my steak was totally unseasoned. It used to come out with a nice exterior, a little crusty. Last 2 visits it was tasteless.

Kathy C.

Yelp
Food and drinks are excellent. I've had filet every time I've been. Would be 5 stars but noise level is too high. Cavernous in the main room. Boathouse ok but under the speaker you still can't hear friends from across the table.

Dede Amaral B.

Yelp
An extremely rude man at front when we walked in. He was an older hentlemen who wouldnt look up from the desk or say Hello. We asked to be seated outside,he said No.Without looking up at us he said we could sit in a hightop. We asked for a table,he never replied, kept looking down for what seemed a few mins. He kept looking down, the place eas empty. It was 6pm on a monday. I asked if theywere low on staff and he gruffly said yes. We felt he didnt want us there so we left . Still no words or eye contact. He is not a good representative for that or any busimess. This place came highly recommended, what a big disappointment!

Nick W.

Yelp
This is our favorite spot in the lakes region! I e've have everything on the menu and always come back excited. They can be a little disorganized at times, but they handle themselves nicely in such situations. Would recommend the cinnamon roll for dessert - best I've ever had.

Eric S.

Yelp
First experience was not good at all. Called twice to try and book a reservation, both times no one picked up. Walked in, was asked if I had a reservation, I said no I called twice, and the woman looked at me like I was an idiot and said "haha yeah the phones just ring so much". Excuse me? "The phones ring so much?" I've worked in a place like this and we would be fired if we let the phones ring more than 3 times. Anyways, we were sat down in a terrible spot. Then to top it all off our food took almost an hour and a half to come out of the kitchen. The waitress apologized that they were "backed up". It's a Saturday night and this place is supposed to be upscale, I would think that the kitchen would be able to handle what looked to be a normal weekend night. The food was alright, but NOT worth the "upscale" prices. My advice, don't waste your time, money, and patience. Go somewhere else.

George L.

Yelp
Very disappointed. Stopped in at the bar this evening 5:30. Sat down and ordered a drink said I would like to eat. Waited for bartender to take my order. Bartender spent lots of time talking to others but after twenty minutes asked me if I'm ok, I say yes would like to order. He takes my order. Meanwhile nice lady who came in same time as I, had already been served and was eating. Waited 45 minutes. No meal, not asked if I would like another drink. Battens, two, waiting tables. Finally left a fifty and left. No one at front desk. Stay away.

Cliff H.

Yelp
Not worth the price ... the quality has severely diminished since Covid-19s arrival and when told about the problem staff is very rude.

Jon H.

Yelp
Always top notch. Upscale without stuffiness. New expanded number of high tops in the bar make it easier to enjoy a great meal.

Mark S.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Well done! It is attached to the place we stayed ...Lake Opechee Inn and Spa. Great hotel and great restaurant. The hanger steak was outstanding!

L M.

Yelp
You know I always thought this would be an upscale dinner location. It just isn't so. The steaks tips I got were like charcoal rocks, the waitress offered to make me something else but I was so bummed I ate my salad. Beleive it or not the pork chop was delicious. But we have not enjoyed a lot of the appetizers or mains. And the prices are up there for food that isn't worthy of them.

Erin K.

Yelp
The service, the food, the drinks! Ryan was wonderful! She was kind, knowledgeable, attentive to detail, and went above and beyond to take pics of our family, both inside and out. This was the best experience we had during our vacation. Thanks you for such a great night!

Robert B.

Yelp
It's always a stop when we get to the Laconia or concord Nh area. The food is always on point and the service is great ! The Laconia location is a definitely has a better ambiance being able to over look the lake.

Rachel M.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Tables were kind of close, felt like we were sharing dinner with the two tops next to us. Filet and cod were cooked perfectly. Delicious! Oysters Rockefeller, too cheesy, meh.

Danielle S.

Yelp
We ate at this restaurant twice during our recent trip. Once we ate in and the other we had takeout. I will start with our review on eating at the restaurant. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. When we were seated it was not to long before our server came. She was great. She knew the menu and made recommendations. We ordered drinks and salads for appetizers. My husband had the cider old fashion and the Greens salad. I had the pink Vesper martini and a Ceasar salad. The drinks were strong, but good. The salads were fresh and very large. For the entree my husband had the boneless ribeye and I had the swordfish. They were delicious. The presentation was great as well. We did not order dessert because we were full. We had leftovers which we decided to take to our room, we were staying at the Inn that is attached. We had forgotten utensils and our server actually delivered them to our room. It was our anniversary dinner, which they didn't know. It was a great dining experience. We ordered takeout a few nights later of a burger and the Ceasar salad. We also ordered dessert, the chocolate cheesecake and the cinammon bun. It was sooo good. The pricing is on the higher end, but it was worth it. We will be eating there again when in the area.

David T.

Yelp
AVOID AT ALL COST. They refused to seat my party of six. Said they were at full capacity. Well as you can see there was empty tables outside and a bunch inside. I guess because I have tattoos I don't fit the requirements to eat here.

Miguel S.

Yelp
DO NOT GO! Little Jimmy was rude to my partner and I. The service was slow and the food was average for what they charge. I would not go back if someone paid me to eat here. The tuna was overcooked and my partner's filet was too. The bacon is a knock off from other steakhouses that we could make better in our smoker. We asked Little Jimmy the manager for more bread and he was rude to us. We were there for hours with just two of us and finally said something. Little Jimmy came over and was rude to us again. He is a loser that has ruined the restaurant in my opinion as someone who has dined here for years. As noted, we have gone here for years and are disappointed with the turnover in managers and the lack of attention to detail. We will gladly go to another magic foods restaurant like Canoe that has similar food to offer (blue cheese chips) and better all around service.

Christi T.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food and drinks and service! Bee was so nice and gave great recommendations. We LOVED the martinis and licked our plates clean. Will definitely be back.

Dan P.

Yelp
Best restaurant I have been to in years!! Amazing staff amazing food! Blows capital grill out of the water

Peter L.

Yelp
We were staying at the Inn and had dinner here our first night with daughter and son-in-law. Matt, the waiter was very attentive. The following evening just the two of us arrived and were told that there was a 45 minute wait. Matt recognized us and arranged for us to wait in the lounge and served us the same cocktails we ordered the night before. Less than 15 min. later we were seated and informed of the specials. After a very disappointing day, Matt was a real lifesaver. And the tomahawk steak for two was outstanding!

G S.

Yelp
Is it Covid-19 or or is this place just not living up to the hype? High end, fine dining, upscale, just not words I would use to describe this place. Everything was okay, great piece of steak but sadly overcooked, dry and over salted. Risotto was under cooked, but perfect for leftovers prepared the next day. Waitress was great, bartender made an awesome GG Cosmo, well 1 anyways, the 2nd had a funky flavor thinking she may have used a shaker with remnants of the last drink in it, but was replaced. Not sure why they call themselves a Steak and "seafood" restaurant since the seafood offerings are so limited. I might try again post Covid-19, or not.
