Oak & Vigne Cafe

We had the absolute best lunch experience at Oak & Vigne! The oxtail and lamb shank were simply out of this world tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was rich and comforting, truly the kind of meal that lingers in your memory long after the last bite. The portions were generous, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The warm atmosphere and attentive service made the lunch even more enjoyable. Oak & Vigne is a place where you can taste the care and passion that goes into every dish. If you’re a fan of hearty, soul-satisfying food, the oxtail and lamb shank here are a must-try. We’ll definitely be coming back – this was easily one of the most delicious meals we’ve had in a long time!

Jannie (owner/manager) was welcoming and friendly on both visits. All staff, particularly Patricia our waitress, was helpful and personable despite the restaurant being very busy. The food was great (lamb curry and lamb shank). Would highly recommend them to anyone!

Without a doubt the biggest jewell of the Western Cape, the food was absolutely amazing and our four different dishes were all hugely praised by all of us - what a wonderful find, the Chef was called over and thanked personally If you want an evening of classy food, this restaurant is for you Absolutely thrilled to find this place

Ridiculously overpriced food and drinks. We ordered a chocolate brownie milkshake that the menu described as “decadent”. What we ended up getting was a medium-sized glass of milk. They charged almost double that of the prices that some of Cape Town’s best restaurants offer. The prices would be justified if the meals/ drinks were value for money. The restaurant setting is outdated and feels unclean. Never coming back here again.

We visited Oak & Vigne in 2023 and had the most amazing Eisbien, we vowed to return again. Today, we did just that, we drove all the way from Cape Town and boy, it didn't disappoint. We loved every bit of it. The staff and owner is exceptionally friendly and make you feel right at home. They have a cozy fireplace for this cold winters nights. We will definitely be back again. We visited this restaurant yesterday. What a gem. Large portions for fish with delicious veggies. A few relatives and I had pizzas. What an exquisite taste. The waiter was very friendly and could advise us exactly to our taste and needs. The owner came personally to make sure we were well served. Keep up the excellent service.

Very disappointing. Service was terrible: they didn't ask how I wanted my steak or what sides I wanted. Never came back to ask if everything was ok. Steak was ok but VERY salty. Presentation was bland.
