Oak Bottom Campground

This is a great campground. Each site has big space for car for tent. Each site has good distance so you don't worry too much about noise or privacy. The Salmon River is nearby. It is good place for fly fishing or boat here.

Camp host was amazing, pit toilets were very clean, water is available, sites were nicely wooded, and host gives great information to help folks stay in the best place possible. River across the street is lovely to swim in. * note the location is incorrect on google maps. Photo below of correct location (just a short bit east)

Worth Driving 12hts from Los Angeles! No cell service, peaceful and calming. Camp host was great, sites were well spaced.

A most awesome campground and host as other reviews say. Located in the Heart of gods creation and in America the beautiful. Please don’t tell your friends it just for us.

This place is great. The bathrooms are super clean and there’s water and trash/recycling but otherwise there’s not much out here which is the whole point. Face is the best host of any camp site we’ve ever been at. She went above an beyond to make us comfortable and set us our own perfect space. She has these fabulous ducks that are a threatened variety and the kids and adults alike loved them. Another reviewer mentioned they were loud but aside from them talking to us when we walked up to them we never heard them. Camp sites are well spaced and our 20’ travel trailer fit nicely in several of the sites. We ended up extending our stay night after night because they area had so much to offer. You can gather firewood but don’t forget the bug spray. We will be back to this little oasis.

Wonderful campground with nearby amenities. The host who goes by “Face” is the best! She also has the cutest duck friend who has an enclosure by the front. Babe the special needs duck was definitely the star of the show. Bathrooms are the cleanest on the salmon river! Oak bottom can be used as a put in or take out if you’re interested in whitewater rafting. At night the grounds are quiet and peaceful and during the day you might see more bird friends like quail patrol the grounds. There is plenty of drinkable water available. If you’re looking for cell service, you might get some in the store near by (5 min drive). You’ll definitely get wifi there, though. Be prepped for mosquitos and keep your eyes peeled for poison oak, both of which are very common in the six rivers area in general. You won’t be able to escape that in the woods. But don’t worry, the general store down the way has ointments and repellant. The host is also working on natural pest control methods which have helped control the mosquito population drastically throughout the years. Very cool! Thanks Face and Babe! So, we went here in 2020 and STILL talk about how amazing our trip to the area was as well as the awesome camp host , Face. It feels so isolated and wild with wonderful folks to meet along the way. Best swimming holes around!

Face, (yes that's what her nickname is) was one of the best campground hosts I've had the pleasure of meeting. Moved me to another site that was more accommodating for the size of trailer I have. If you want piece and quiet, this is it. Thumbs up 👍
