Oak House No.1 Hotel

This is an absolutely unique experience! The house owners Gary and Nicola are the perfect hosts, welcoming guests into their beautiful home which is very warm and very welcoming. You immediately feel, literally, at home!|The suite is amazing and the bed oh so comfortable.........|We went out for an evening meal and returned for a nightcap and a chat with Gary and Nicola and shared stories of our passions for travel.|After a very restful sleep and a piping hot shower the next morning, we sampled Nicola's freshest of fresh breakfasts washed down with a huge very tasty pot of Earl Grey. The fruit is fresh, the full English is absolutely made from the best produce. Then is was, sadly, time to say "Cheerio" and depart...........but we will be back, as there is nowhere quite like Oak House and it's Hosts!!

We have recently returned from a two night stay in this stunning home, it truly is the most wonderful house with an incredible array of art and literature. Gary and Nicola are the most delightful hosts and make you feel welcome before you have even stepped in the door. We left feeling we had known them for years! Both are very kind, warm and full of interesting stories regarding their travels and homes along the way.||Breakfast is a feast of goodies, beautifully cooked and tastes for everyone.||The bedroom was perfect, comfortable and spotless with plenty of storage space. ||Don’t even look at other properties in Tetbury!||||Jules and Ian :-)

Oak House was exceptional. The house, decor and rooms are exquisite and you feel like you’ve been invited to stay in a beautiful home. But more than this the hosts are what make a stay here very special. Warm, engaging, and with a perfect knack to balance colourful storytelling (of which Gary and Nicola have an endless supply) with giving their guests space and privacy to enjoy the wonderful environment they’ve created.

Our 3rd visit and it gets better each time! Beautifully art decorated rooms , each with a bespoke, specific theme and yet the whole home comes together so amazingly- stunning colours, art work , furniture , fittings . One of the best breakfasts ever - freshly and lovingly prepared, tasty, delicious and filling ! Gary and Nicola are superb host and hostess- charming, witty , caring, informative and can share an endearing story or two! |This is THE place for a different, very special and artistic getaway.

Just back from a wonderful 3 nights staying with Gary and Nicky. They make you so welcome from the moment you arrive. You are guests in their wonderful home: filled to the brim with stunning art and furniture. ||We were in the Cavalier suite, which has a beautiful 4-poster and hundreds of books to choose from in the separate sitting room. Breakfast was a delight (Gary knows how to scramble an egg or two!) and the reserved parking outside was a bonus. The restaurant recommendations were all spot on. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them||We cannot praise this place highly enough. Will definitely return when we next find ourselves in the area

We booked our room over a year ago and didn’t really know what to expect. We weren’t disappointed. Not only is the building beautifully decorated and furnished with amazing artwork , the breakfast was fantastic and as for the owners Nicola and Gary they couldn’t have done more, they were so attentive, great fun and fantastic company. A truly memorable and inspiring stay.

We stayed in Tetbury at the Oak House No. 1, which was a fantastic experience. The room was lovely and the owners very friendly and accommodating. My husband was recently require to follow a gluten free diet and was taken good care of. Gluten free muffins, granola, bread, etc. were all there for him to choose from.

Superb house in the south of the Cotswolds hosted by Nicky and Gary, inspiring, out of the box, worldclass persons. Glamorous rooms, modern colourful paintings . Great breakfast with the best scottish black pudding. Positive vibes all around.
